Oct 28, 2009I'm having the same problem in ALL my typing: when I hold down the shift key for multiple letters, only the first is capitalized; the rest come out lower case. This is not a replacement behavior: I don't see the Uppercase letter get replaced by the lowercase one; only the first is uppercase. Is there some new text replacement routine? Can this be customized? I can't stand having to release the shift key between letters or to have to shift-lock, shift unlock.

May 21, 2012When I print multiple checks they print in the wrong sequence. If I have checks 401, 402 and 403 in the printer in that order, they print 403, 402 and 401. How can I change this to print not collated?

OS X Mavericks :: Print Icon Tends To Stay On Dock After Print Job Is Done And Disorder Print Queue
Jun 28, 2014I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â

May 27, 2009I deleted the "hidden" private folder on my mac, but that still on trash. Now the big problems are:
- when I try to open Terminal to move the folder from the trash to my hard disk, appears a message that says: the administrator doesn't specified your shell with a legal value.
- I can't change the date and time;

Jun 9, 2009I -honestly- installed an illegal copy of iLife '08 just before the '09 came out, to try it. However, about 1 week later -or so- I bought the real thing (Legal copies of iLife & iWork).
Problem is:
when I tried installing the new version, it actually updated the older version, and the illegal copy serial number is still the registration number after-all!
Is there a way to solve this & go completely legal without loosing any of my files? (especially iPhoto)?

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Can't Print On Canon Ix4000 Connected To Xp Computer At Windows Network
Apr 23, 2012Trying everything from installing ix4000's driver to CUPS driver and so on. The printer works fine when connected to my MacBook Pro but when trying to print on windows xp network.. nothing happens.
Sometimes it says not authorized some time it keeps on trying.Â
When adding a printer I choose windows and I see it and can add it . The driver is available and everything works fine....But it doesn't print or it seems MBP can't send information to that computer which has the printer. The printer on that computer (XP) is shared . Â
I have a Dlink DIR-615 router and we all are connected to it. Should I follow a defined procedure or what? Idon't know what to do . I even couldn't print a single page..

Dec 10, 2009I recently bought a 17-inch iMac from eBay for a sweet price, it's here now, in literraly new condition. It had Leopard on it, and I wanted to wipe it, and reinstall OSX using my Macbook Pro's Tiger Disc. Wait, isn't that illegal? No. I had Tiger on my Mac, upgraded it to Leopard. Now the Tiger disc is no longer used on the computer. Unfortunately unnoticed by me the Tiger disc was a Macbook Pro install disc. So I had recently upgraded my Macbook Pro to Snow Leopard. Now, the thing was, the Tiger disc and the Leopard upgrade disc was freed up from binding to my Macbook Pro. The iMac came, I wiped it's hard drive using the Macbook Pro Tiger Disc. Whoopsie. I tried installing Tiger on the iMac. No juice. I then learned that that tiger disc was limited to use for the Macbook Pro. So then I pulled out the Snow Leopard disc (Single License), and I 'm installing it on the iMac. This is not legal.

Nov 20, 2007I can't seem to be able to print multiple copies of a document in Leopard. I've tried 3 different network printers (2 windows printers, 1 direct IP printer) using 3 different MacBooks. All running 10.5.1. It'll print 1 copy just fine, but that's it. If you want multiple copies you have to keep sending it to the printer, which is a pain.
Can anybody try printing 2 or more copies with a local printer and see if that works? I think I may have found my first truly annoying Leopard bug

Sep 27, 2009I have a 24" iMac (purchased last spring) and an HP Deskjet 842C inkjet printer. The photo print quality was quite good under Leopard, but is very poor under Snow Leopard (I'm using the latest updated version 10.6.1 with the Gutenprint print driver, 5.2.3). The images have a noticeable bluish cast, and considerable banding. Changing the print quality and paper type does not solve the problem, in fact, the image quality usually suffers. HP has not updated the drivers since 2005.

Apr 6, 2012For some reason my MacBook Pro now has the default print orientation as landscape. I have searched the forums and found what I believe is the correct solution: delete the com.apple.print.PrintingPrefs.plist file from the user Library/Preferences. Now I am a little nervious about throwing away what may be a system type file, so I would really appreciate if someone would confirm that when this preference file is trashed, the system will rebuild it, I am guessing, on a restart.

Apr 21, 2012I am having a problem with my Canon Pixma 5200. For some reason it has stopped recognising text. It will print out the test print ok. I can print pictures but no text. I have used different applications, Pages, Word and pdf and although it sounds as though it is printing I end up with a blank sheet. I have a letterhead with my email address on it and having typed a long letter only the email address came out (this was in the same font as the letter but a smaller size).
