Im using xcode in c++ language and I am having trouble finding the place to save my txt file so the program would recognize it.
The program displays the cout inside the if so its clearly not finding the txt file.
I recently reformatted my MBP. It seems as if Safari no longer wants to save files which I view in the activity window + double click but instead just open them in another tab. Does anyone know why this is happening? I want to save .flv files and all these other files but they don't save!

When I try to save it as a different file name, a pop up tells me I do not have permission to save to the desktop. The same issue occurs when I attempt to take a screen shot (default save to desktop)

All my old office files have become "read only" and I cann ot modify and save w/o renaming. Is there a "blanket" way to change the Permissions to "read & write" for all my Office files? Idid not see a similar item in the FAQ's......
Also, when I open an Office application, I get the following message: "An unexpected error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft Framework library". How do I fix that?
I have been unable to save or save as in any of the programs, when I try and save which ever application I am in, crashes. I have not had this issue happen before. I have googled it and I get results relating to print spooling ( on pc). I would like to know how I can set print spooling on macs.

Even when I go into finder and change the file extension it immediately changes it back to .rtf or .txt. It works when I save perl files. How do I get Text Edit to save Haskell files? One colleague's "Save As" dialog box allows him to select "Simpletext" or text only as a format choice, while my MBP and another colleague (also MBP) have a "MXML" and Entourage email formats but not "text only."Â
I've found no way to add a text option.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince updated to Lion I have found that Save As in Edit is no longer available. Screen shots and certain other images and docs I need to Save As jpegs in order to use in Photoshop. I cannot name docs form the drop down menu but instead have to close and rename it in the label on my desktop. The only option is Save a Version but when I do this I have no idea if and where the image is going as it does not show up on my desktop. Why is this feature of Save As removed? Some image files cannot be opened by PS unles in specific fomat and the word document issue is just annoying as it adds additonal steps to naming.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I edit an image I have on my desktop with the Preview app and then save it, everything works fine.If I edit that same image with Photoshop CS6, save it (same or copy) on the desktop, and then try for example to resize or crop it with the Preview app, it won't work. It says it can't autosave because I don't have the right permissions or something like that... I already tried to repair them. I use the latest version of Lion. I also tried to do the same thing on Snow Leopard and it works fine.

Yesterday I made a project with iMovie and started to import it as a QuickTime .mov file. I�ve set everything to the best quality and encoding, without compression. My HD had 101Gb free space. This morning there was an error warning that the project could not be completed because the HD was full. I checked and there's 0kb of free space! How do I fix it? Where do I look for files to delete? I cannot modify then save or create a new Applescript and save it on my MacPro. I get an error message saying I don't have permission. To view or change permissions select the item in the Finder then chose File > Get Info. When I do that, and enter my pass phrase to unlock the lock at the bottom right of the Get Info window I can do that, but I cannot change the Privileges and I wouldn't know what to change them to anyway.
If it helps, I'm running off a drive that used to be my backup drive and the info on it was copied by Carbon Copy Cloner. Also, I recent reinstalled the OS because the machine wasn't booting from the drive reliably. After the reinstallation I ran Disk Warrior, Disk Utility (permissions and repair), optimized the drive with DiskTools Pro and checked its SMART status.
I should add that if I restart off my main drive I can change and save scripts. But I don't want to use that drive as my main drive anyore as I upgraded it to Lion which I don't like (Lion killed my most important applications).
This was happening with my old 2006 Macbook. I just upgraded to a new MacBook Pro the other day and I am still having the same problem. For years it worked without a problem. One day I cleared the cache and Safari no longer saved bookmarks or allowed me to delete exisiting ones.
I am able to delete old ones and add new, but the program reverts to previously saved very old settings on restart.Â

I am suddenly no longer able to save pdf formatted documents in Preview using Lion 10.7.3. The content is a single page consisting of 4 combined pdf images. I get a "Printer Error" message. It had been working up until now. I restarted Preview and then restarted my system, but this problem did not go away. This week my mac pro started to become flaky. Apps that I use all the time, started having problems saving, then they started having problems opening files. I could drag and drop files on an app and they would open. Cmd+S would sometimes save, sometimes not. If I closed the window without saving, I'd get the warning prompt, select OK to save and the file would save. Printing started flaking. Page setup comes up with a blank dialog, with Printer settings pulldown blank. Trying to print, either nothing would happen or the app would crash. I have run disk verfy - everything checks out. I have repaired permissions, I have run techtool pro. Nothing works. I have done a Cmd-Opt click to start apps for a fresh prefs file. It seems to have started with one app and is showing up in others, mostly Adobe/Microsoft apps, but now Open Office, too. I've had and diagnosed many macs over the years, but this one's got me perplexed. I've got Sophos Antivirus and nothing has been detected..
