View 1 RepliesI used to be able to surf the web wirelessly on my Macbook laptop over my home network with no issues. I have Verizon FIOS router. Now, every time I try to run Safari I have to re-select my home router and type in the WEP password, every single time. I tell it to save the password to my keychain and it just doesn't remember my previous connections
View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot get a solid answer on this one. Since the update it seems that safari fails to save my login info. For example I have to re-enter my username and pass for macrumors atleast once everyday. Also it seems that Safari occasionally hogs more memory and resources after extended use. Anyone else?

so, i have gotten everything all set up and up and running but one thing that i have noticed is my network connection disconnecting itself. every time i have closed i the lid it has diconnected itself from the network. i realize that it goes to sleep when that happens and it shouldnt be really doing anything in sleep mode. but im kinda p-o'ed at how when i open it up i need to re enter the networs pass word. is there a way that i can make it so that it automatically connects to the network when its opened/turned on? i checked the box that "saves the password as a keychain" what ever that means too.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLove this feature (because I'm all about convenience). But the first time I logged on to a specific new site, password manager popped up asking if I wanted it to remember my log on information. Instead of hitting "remember", I accidentally hit "never remember". It's driving me nuts because its the one site I visit every day, and can't figure out how to un-do it other than re-register under a new name, which would be too much of a hassle since it's my stock brokerage site.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to save or save as in any of the programs, when I try and save which ever application I am in, crashes. I have not had this issue happen before. I have googled it and I get results relating to print spooling ( on pc). I would like to know how I can set print spooling on macs.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy mail has been working fine on my mail app on my macbook pro... until recently. Its repeatedly prompting me for my password and then says it is incorrect and to try again. Upon going on the actual mail website and doing an online sign in I have realised that the password is infact correct. How can i resolve this. Additionally, its also happening on my iphone which is why I know its something I need to alter with my apple products.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have close to 30 sites in my keychain, but one will not remember login info. When I had first joined the site, it worked fine. Unfortunately it had not synched my login info using the cloud to my iPod touch. I had of course forgotten the recommended suggested password (letters, numbers & symbols), and so had a password request sent to my phone. Again unfortunately the cloud did not resend the password to my computer, so I just ended up creating my own easy to remember password. It was recalling the strange passwords, but wouldn't put my password into my mac. It also began to stop asking to save passwords from that site altogether. I ran keychain first aid, & I trashed the Keychain Access.plist. I didn't reset my Default Key Chain button, because I don't to loose all of my saved info.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone out here using [URL] successfully? I have not been able to access the site for over 3 weeks. I keep getting an error message when trying to access the webmail:
"ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

Nor am I able to get a hold of support (email bounces back). If anyone that is successfully using [URL:..] could you send an email to support telling them that numerous users are not able to access the the mail server. I guess this is provided that they haven't hung it up.

my MBP's hard drive just died. Disk Repair, DiskWarrior, and Disk Utility all agree my apple partition is screwed and unmountable.
I've been able to get it temporarily so that i can boot via an external drive. This is not my issue, my issue is that I have been working on a website for a company. It's been published and everything. My problem is that now that I lost the original files, am I going to be unable to edit it via iweb?
I have 5 days or so until my disk makes it to me (yeah, I'm overseas in an area without an apple store or service center to take my mac to), so I guess I'll find out for myself then.
On both Safari and Chrome browsers, I have been using a particular website - ([URL] .... - this is a website of an institute I have enrolled with and needs a user id to access it) - since a year.
Earlier, on my mac, it would open the links to pdf files as also links to videos uploaded on their site.
However, since the past couple of months, I have not been able to access any of those. Whenever I click, there is absolutely no response from the website. It remains static. Although I am able to navigate through the various pages, but am not able to open anything at all.

I use IWeb to make my site with no problem. however now I'm doing another site and can't publish it (the new site). I've tried to erase my site from "sites" but cannot publish the other site!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to uninstall Virex 7.5. I have got the Terminal uninstall command which opens Terminal. So far, so good. However, Terminal is asking me for my admin password but it's not allowing me to enter it. The cursor is not blinking it's just a solid black oblong - just bl**dy sitting there! Absolutely no response to any key except the enter key - then terminal helpfully says, 'Sorry, try again' What's going on? I just wanna get rid of Virex!!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a powerbook G4 running version 10.5.8. I am able to login to everything and set my username as the administrator, but I can not set a password for it, if i try to input a password or change the password I get an error message saying I have input an incorrect password. When I purchased the computer everything was blank except for the user name was set as mac user, as I said I was able to change the username but not the password.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to run Cache Out. The program asks for the system password. I type in my usual password that I use for installing programs, or trashing stuff from the system folder... It won't allow me to run the program, saying the password is wrong.
When i am supposed to type my password in the terminal, so i can uninstall an addons, i can't write... I can press enter, and it jump down a line, but when i write there, it pop up: Sorry wrong password Try again. What shall i do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedYes I know other people have posted this and gotten the answer that you just put it ion anyways and you wont see it come up but it works. Well I do not actually have a password set so usually I just hit enter with it blank but when I do that in Terminal it says sorry wrong password or something until I hit the 3rd try and it boots me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the latest version of Safari (5.0.2) on Snow Leopard 10.6.4. I'm also using 1Password (3.4.4). I'm encountering two issues:
1) Safari rarely Autofills user/passwords when surfing. Autofill is checked off for "User names and passwords".
2) I keep getting prompted over and over again to save my login information in Safari. I continue to click "Yes" but neither Autofill remembers the information and I get prompted again the next time I login.
I have in the past when entering a password clicked "SAVE" when the auto save password window would pop up. Now I notice that passwords get changed, and the original password is automatically inserted when it is no longer correct. How can you reenter a correct password in this situation?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've tried and tried to save it but it just stays blank. I've deleted the email account several times but without success. I've also noticed that Safari will not save my internet login password. I'm staying in a hotel and every 24 hours or so, I'll need to re-login. Using SL & Safari the username stays there but not the password. Before the SL install everything was fine, my email password and the hotel username & password would always be input and remembered.
View 2 Replies View RelatedYou know when you log into different sites with your passcode and the window pops up to read "Would you like to save this password? How safe it that? I always resist putting in the info for fear that one day it could be stolen. I guess the real test is it safe enough to put your banking, or credit card passcode?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed a new Modem/Router a Speedport W 502V (I am not impressed with it but my old one died and this needs to do for a few weeks). I like it to store my password but it does not.
I have Autofill on and I have a extension installed called "autocomplete" but it still does not do it. I am also not sure if it still works as there seems to be no download anywhere anymore.?

A friend did this on my computer on a site where I'm very frequently logging in. How can I erase this preference just for this site, i.e. I want Safari to ask me again whether I want my password stored and then answer yes.
