I have the iMac 24 desktop and I print to an Epson RX600. No matter what I try to print and where it is coming from the page always prints out so little. There is a "shrink to page" box on the print preview that I always make sure in not checked. Why does everything print so little?
My ex-wife's iMac makes a print that's too small to read. When I was asked how to make prints larger, I just couldn't recall how to do that. Resolution?
I'm working with an iMac, Photoshop Elements 8 and an Epson R2880. I've calibrated the iMac for Adobe RGB; I've set PSE * for Adobe RGB; and I have downloaded the profiles for the R2880 and set it for Adobe RGB. However, my prints look noting like what I see on the screen.
We're hunting for a small printer for a crowded office space. There's a not much desk space or shelf space.
Only need something to print. No scanning, faxing or other functions! Hoping we can get Canon that is compatible with the inkjet 40 and 41 cartridges as we already have a printer that uses those.
I have decided to use my old desktop iMac G5 in my office just for mailing things out (I work from the home and my office is in the basement-easier to leave the iMac down there and leave my MacBook Pro upstairs)...Problem is, I'm using the printer that got with the MacBook down there (ip4300) and, good news is is that it's printing, BUT...the print is really small.
I have a device that captures music from my old cassette tapes and converts it to MP3 format via my Imac. The problem is that the software is on one of those miniature CDs and I don't want to insert it in the slot on the Imac because there is no way of knowing if it is centered.
There are a few very small specs assumably under the glass of my iMac. Its white when the screen is of but it changes colors according to what is showing on the screen. What is it? And how can i get it out?
So if the new iMacs don't come out soon, I'll be getting a refurb. Now my question is about the keyboard. Is it possible to get a bigger keyboard with number pad instead of the smaller ones? I know you can edit it in the cart on a new mac, but you can't on refurb. Any chance that you can take it to the Apple Store and get the small keyboard exchanged with the larger one?
I just recently purchase the larger iMac and and I was told I can make things on the screen larger so that I won't have to strain my eyes. I just can't figure out how to do so. I know how to work it for Safari but the text on the left side of the Mail is way too small. Also where it says File Edit View Etc at the top also needs to be larger. My eyes hurt after 10 minutes because I am straining to see.
The small slot under the cd/dcd slot, is that for picture cards? Just noticed it. Is there someplace I can go to read up on general things about this computer, seeing as it came with little info?
when I open pages, numbers, etc. that when they open they open big? In other words whenever I open a file it always opens small and they I have to drag the lower corner to make it cover the scree,.
I have a specific problem with my printer KYOCERA FS-1700+.It is connected via USB to my MacBook Pro which operates MAC OS 10.6.4The latest driver update on the Kyocera page supports OS 10.5, and the printer prints just half of the pages with this driver. The pre-installed Kyocera driver on my Mac does not work at all.
My hp deskjet 5850 will only print in black with snow leopard. I contacted hp and they said there is not updated driver since all the hp drivers are included in the snow leopard dvd. When I go to the Apple support to find the printers supported in snow leopard the 5850 is not listed. I tried changing the "Print Using" catagory to Generic PCL Laser Printer like the Apple site suggested but still won't work.
I just found out that HP dropped support for the 990cx.
But the questions is: is that why both our new imac as well as our Macbook pro will only print low res gray?I can print color via a app on my ipad, but both of our other two macs print only lowres gray?
I've noted that HP Laserjet 2550 will only take one job and then then the iMac will claim it is waiting for the printer to become available (forever). Unplugging/replugging the USB will not clear this though the driver does note that it is unplugged/replugged.Â
It seems like the printer doesn't know that the last job was done and thus holds off all other jobs.Â
The only way to take another job is to power-cycle the printer.Â
When I go to a friend's blog and click on "Print," the "Create a New Tab Button" at the top of Safari goes gray and unusable. Usually, I have to Quit Safari and restart it, but today, after printing, the button returned to normal spontaneously
When I log in during the "order prints" sequence, it then pops up "Create a New Account" set of fields. I tried filling those out with my existing account info, then it gets into a continuous loop with the server, probably confused because I already have that account. I shut down Aperture and tried to order via iPhoto - no problem.
I have a HP PSC 1110 to which I print wirelessly, via an Airport Express, from my ibook. I've been useing it successfully for about a month, but today for the first time I tried to print photos from iPhoto and it wouldn't print in colour...in fact it won't print in colour wirelessly no matter which application the print job is sent from. When I attached the printer directly to the ibook via USB and it worked perfectly so I have a staightforward solution, but, it should work in colour wirelessly shouldn't it?
just about every printer connected to any of the notebook's USB ports. Strangely, there was one she found that still did work. The problem started some weeks after the fresh Leopard install, so it doesn't seem directly connected to that. Print jobs she starts are instantly paused, and can't be restarted, printer utility gives her the error message "Operation could not be completed, client-error-not-possible". Reinstalling the 3rd party printer drivers and removing/readding the printers in system preferences didn't help. She can still print via WLAN and my own MacBook Pro connected to our printer (the printer on her system configured as a "wireless printer"), so in principle all still seems to work. Also, the USB ports still work with other devices. I've also repaired permissions on her 'book and we installed the 10.5.6 Combo update againboth no success. I'm at a loss of ideas does somebody else have any tips about what to do, apart from reinstalling Leopard?
Brand new HP Photosmart C4480 from Apple Store (connected via USB to AEBS)...
Prints fine from both MBP (unibody) and Vista lappy...but only in COLOR!
Why on earth would this be...could it be something simple as the black ink cartridge straight out of the box has ink problems? I've re-seated the black just to make sure, but seriously prints nothing in black...only color!
For years I had no trouble printing envelopes straight from Address book. But since I upgraded to Lion, when I print an envelope, it prints (1) the envelope just fine, but then also (2) a blank 8.5"x11" page. How do I get it to stop printing the extra page?
The file will go to the print que but will not connect to the printer. When I restart the computer it will print. I have an Apple friendly printer. Is it my network?
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
I'm trying to print a legal size 4 page document. The first page printed then the printer stopped. I've tried repeatedly to print page 2, but it never gets beyond the 'sending print data'. I tried deleting the job but it didn't go away. I finally had to shut down my MacBook and the printer, then restart them and the job was gone. But I still get the 'sending print data' when I try to print page 2.
Info:MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8), This is not a wireless printer.
I am attempting to order multiple prints but as I order one picture the system immediately send (uploads) the order. I wish to include multiple pictures in one order. What is the process?
I am needing an AIO color laser that prints, copies, scans and faxes for my Tiger and soon to be Snow Leopard MacBook. Price is not an object (for the most part). I've been looking but have found anything that has a fax.
I have a HP Photosmart C4200 Series (C4280 to be exact). I have recently installed Snow Leopard (was using Leopard before) and this printer shows as supported in Snow Leopard. The problem I'm having, is that when I go to print a document from Microsoft Word (Office 2008) for Mac, all I get are blank pages. I printed something from Text Edit and it comes out fine, but files from Microsoft Word come out blank. Also, the "Test" pages come out fine as well.
I have been printing files for months and months now from Microsoft Word, but this is the first time I have tried in Snow Leopard.Does anyone know what is going on? I really need to print stuff since its for school.
