Mar 27, 2009no longer split into inbox/message view on the right. I've gone through every option possible but i cannot get it back.
the left column contains the email inbox/outbox/etc...
the the large section of the screen should be split into two sections, the email folder at the top, and the actual email below it.
but I somehow deleted the message window split.

Jan 26, 2009With OS X, I always find it annoying that windows can still me moved when maximized. I don't see the point of this since 99% of the problem this causes is that my windows are offset by 2-5 pixels (which I then have to zoom, then re-zoom to maximize the window again). Why can't we have snapping to window edges? Many programs already do this, and they don't detract from the design purity of OS X (unlike Windows 7 which does this over the top and fugly screen edge animation). A slight nudge when your window hits 2-4pxs off the side of the screen would suffice. A center line should exist too, since I find myself using my screen very much so half and half - it is very annoying to get the windows to be half and half equally.

Sep 25, 2009Lately I've noticed a loud popping noise when I adjust the tilt angle on my screen. The noise comes from the right side of the screen and is very loud. This happens when the screen angle has been stationary for a few minutes. I went to the Apple Store today and the genius told me it was normal.

Oct 14, 2009I am using the pair with an early 2008 Mac Pro octo 2.8. Previous card was a 8800 GT, and previous monitor was a dell 2405WFP. No issue there (other than the 8800's fan noise).With the new setup, I occasionally get a whole screen flicker for a split second, and just now when I woke the display from sleep I got multicolored snow covering the entire screen, like this:

Has anyone seen this with either the EVGA card pushing some other dual-link 30" display, or the 3007wfp-hc driven by some other card? I don't really have an easy way to test this myself, as it is pretty intermittent the two arrived around the same time, so I'm not sure which is the cause, but I haven't seen any problems like that in XP so I'm leaning towards the card (drivers, perhaps). I don't spend much time in XP, though, so I'm still not sure.

Apr 11, 2009I've been using my macbook for a few months right now, and primarily use it for recording me and my band-mates on Logic express, but now, I've not been able to use my iSight on my mac. I don't know what's wrong with it, because I've always been able to take photos with friends in Photo Booth and take movies with it as well. Up till now that is. A few days ago I tried to open up Photo Booth and snap a picture, but all I got was a blank screen. The program would count down, but the screen would just be white instead of showing what it would take. The little green light next to it would go on as well, but it wouldn't take a picture, and nothing is blocking the screen either.

Before I had the inbox in the top half of the screen and the message body in the bottom half. Now I am just seeing a full screen with the inbox and I have to double click on the message to see the body. I've looked through the toolbar and can't find an option that addresses it.

Mar 7, 2012This machine WILL NOT ALLOW an Install Boot from ANYTHING other than the Jaguar CD. Screen "blinks" when I attempt to use Sys Pref to designate the 10.4 DVD ... Holding down "C" key is a waste, PRAM & NVRAM have been attempted. Re-installing the 10.2 OS still has the SAME RESULT: Machine refuses ANY Sys Pref Startup OTHER than 10.2 ... PERIOD ... Just get a "blink" on the display, no Error Msg, just a blink .I've erased, zeroed & formatted the 80GB HD, matching RAM (4 X 256MB) ... so I'm pretty sure I need to get this "Firmware" thing resolved so the logic board stops being ILLOGICAL ... or ... is it IMPOSSIBLE to go from 10.2 direct to 10.4? Again, Machine info is;400 MHz PPC G4 Silver 1 MB RAM, with a CLEAN 80GB HD As far as OTHER Posts have indicated, I need to download & run the 4.1.7 firmware ... it is VERY DIFFICULT to find ANYWHERE that is governed by Cupertino ...

May 16, 2012I've been trying to find a download of the Developement Tools for Jaguar on the Apple site and have failed.I know that it was released as a CD version with the installation CD set for Jaguar. I know that it was also available from Apple as a download. I also know that starting with Panther it was renamed Xcode. However the Developers download site does not seem to have any software covering the years 1998 to 2006. Does the download I want still exist on Apple's site - but I have not stumbled on the right place to go ?

Mar 1, 2010I'm creating DMG installers with background pictures. My build machine is 10.6. I'm having problems getting them working consistently:If I create one on 10.4 it works fine in 10.5, 10.5 and 10.6,If I create one for 10.5 it works fine in 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6,But if I create one in 10.6, the background picture shows in 10.6 but does not show in 10.4 or 10.5.
I think I recall having seen similar reports in one or two places but there's not much information on the web. Has anyone here come across this problem? Is it recognised? Fixable? Unfortunately I have no option of running 10.5 on my build machine...
