I'm using the Mac email program. I opened up the program and all of the sudden I lost the split screen. Before I had the inbox in the top half of the screen and the message body in the bottom half. Now I am just seeing a full screen with the inbox and I have to double click on the message to see the body. I've looked through the toolbar and can't find an option that addresses it.

For the last few hours my unibody MacBook Pro has been occasionally flickering - the whole or some of the screen goes black for a split second. It's not happening frequently but it's never happened before, just checking to see if this is a "rush to the Apple Store" type situation?

I haven't upgraded to snow leopard yet, haven't changed anything recently. It's only a few months old so should I take it to an apple store or is there something simple that might fix it?

I am using the pair with an early 2008 Mac Pro octo 2.8. Previous card was a 8800 GT, and previous monitor was a dell 2405WFP. No issue there (other than the 8800's fan noise).With the new setup, I occasionally get a whole screen flicker for a split second, and just now when I woke the display from sleep I got multicolored snow covering the entire screen, like this:

Has anyone seen this with either the EVGA card pushing some other dual-link 30" display, or the 3007wfp-hc driven by some other card? I don't really have an easy way to test this myself, as it is pretty intermittent the two arrived around the same time, so I'm not sure which is the cause, but I haven't seen any problems like that in XP so I'm leaning towards the card (drivers, perhaps). I don't spend much time in XP, though, so I'm still not sure.
I formatted my macbook recently and lost my passwords for hotmail and gmail and I don't remember them as I gave remember my password option. I don't remember the answer to the secret question. Is there any software that I can use to retrieve my passwords.

I have just made the dreaded change over to Lion and iCloud from Snow Leopard, every thing was working fine however I am not connecting to the mac mail server anymore, I am getting a message which reads along the lines of, Verify the settings for account xxxxxxxxxxx@mac.com or try again. The server returned the error: The server p99-imap.mail.me.com refused to allow a connection on port 143.

I was just doing a superduper backup which failed halfway through because i didnt realise my wd passport drive that was plugged in was auto backing stuff up and there must have been a conflict. Now, I dont know what to do. Email accounts.gone. Any registered apps, still there but reg details gone, any and all system preferences (like trackpad setup just came to mind) gone. Dock and all the items in it and crap I made to ,make it look fancy. gone. Stuff that loads at the stuff...gone.
I know this must have to do with my user directory but wtf? I know my timemachine backup is fine as i did one before all the problems, but is my superduperbackup screwed? I cant stress how screwed I am, I got reports due right before xmas and im like at square 1 now.
I seem to have lost the ability to save to, or open documents from, iCloud (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote). When I try to open a file I get the following box:  URL....There is no iCloud option. Same for when I am trying to save. I am signed into iCloud. I have checked Documents & Data and each iWork app. How do I get my iCloud stuff back?Â

I keep getting a sending error report when trying to email direct from iPhoto 11.
As I understand it, iPhoto pulls all address details direct from Mail so why would it falter.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have an issue emailing MS-Office documents that I can't figure out.- I have two systems, 24" iMac and 13" unibody Macbook both running SL.- I have both Office 2004 and 2008 installed on both.- I have two user accounts on each machine. (Mine and the wife's)- When I attach Ms-Office documents to an email from my account on either machine, PC users can open them fine.- When my wife attaches MS-Office documents on either machine, PC users cannot open them.- We are both in school and often upload documents to our school's website. The same behavior is noticed.

However when I go to Google's IP, http://64.233.187.99/ the page loads right up. Every other website loads fine except www.google.com. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a ignorant friend that just upgraded from Panther (10.3) to Leopard (10.5) via the upgrade method and did not backup before hand. His issue is that the Mail conversion didn't complain, but all mailboxes contents were missing.
The Inbox folder in Mail was empty and Drafts was completely missing, as well as some other system generated folders (AFAIK). Other user created folders were in Mail on the left, but were empty. We were able to import the Foo.mbox folders into Mail, so we got the user created folders contents back, but that doesn't help for drafts or few hundred emails in the inbox.
I lost my e-mail from my desk top. the mailbox>rebuild option is not active.
