Above pop up window pops up three time every time I enter a document into Documents folder. How to stop It?

I upgraded to the new OS X Yosemite and within 2 days of my upgrade; I had a popup for me to update my Java Script. I went through the download and after the download, I still have the Java Popup randomly coming up when I'm online. I did attempt to go through the download again, to clear it up and also attempted deleting it from the HDD. I also downloaded an Apple Debug Program and ran it.

Popup error comes up on my screen five times at a time and immediately reappears when I click ok. I'm using Yosemite 10.10.1 now and still had the problem before I updated. In the past I saw that this issue was resolved by uninstalling pharos but I don't have pharos installed on my computer.

Every time I add something to my Dropbox, I get a pop-up saying "3 items have been added to your folder...would you like to view them?" I didn't enable anything on the computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add a signature to a document. I've discovered that I can do this in Preview. I've used the FaceTime camera to scan my signature, saved it and I can see it when I click on Tools > Annotate > Signature. I can't add it to my document though. I've read that I need Preview to Show Edit Toolbar but this option is greyed out. The Edit button on the toolbar is also greyed out. I created the document in Word.

I keep having a popup (left center screen) that sort of looks like a small folder with the word easyNAT at the top. It only last a fraction of a second so I can't screen capture or even study it closely (it's taken a long time just to determine it says easyNAT).

I am pretty sure i saved it cause I remember I checked the name of it. It was yesterday and today I can't find it anywhere. It's not in recent document and I can't find it in spotlight or document searching or even trash. I checked the available space in the macintosh hd and I have nearly 1/3 left. It's fine if I can't find this doc i will just redo it but I'm really worried what if next time if something really important goes missing and I don't want to do that again!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI didn't use the migration assistant, since I wanted to change some key things. What I did do, was copy some old folders from my old mac to my new mac. Oddly enough, during this change, the permissions on these files got locked. Now, since I'm logged in as admin, I can unlock these files and change the permissions, but there's a lot of items and subfolders within this one folder, that I've had to change them all one by one so far. Is there a way, either through finder, or through the terminal that I can just change every item within the one folder at the same time

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I save a file out of Mail to a local folder, it's not showing anymore! I make a new folder, save files to it out of Mail, and when I view the folder contents in the finder, it's not showing any files!
It's the same whether I save the mail as Rich text or Plain text. If I save as raw email, it saves it, but when I do a search, it only finds the file in Mail and not in that folder?
I converted an old apple ID to an ID that is a real email address, as the old one no longer was a valid email address. After creating the new Apple ID I tried to add this ID to the family share as many of the iTunes purchases of songs and apps were done under this ID. The invitation was sent to the new apple ID email address, but when I tried to accept the invitation, I received an error bubble that said " Invalid Invitation, you are already part of this family". When I went back to iCloud it would show that the invitation was still unaccepted.

I couldn't find any resolve from anyone on this topic in older forums, but I have the folder generated and backed up on my iMac and my backup drive, a DROBO. I managed to get rid of the lost+found items on the iMac, but the DROBO says "The operation can�t be completed because the item �dir_1558208� is in use." as well as the rest of the contents.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI know Macs don't get viruses. Here's my issue. I'm running OSX 10.6.3 with Safari 4.0.5. About 5-6 times a day, running Safari, I get the message I'm attaching to this post. It's a fake popup -- obviously fake, because it tells me it's "Windows Internet Security," and gives me a virus warning. The Safari screen behind the image is grayed out, so the message isn't a real popup -- it's part of the screen.
Note:
- This occurs on mainstream webpages, including google search results pages, Yahoo, and the Wall Street Journal.
- The only MS products on my computer are Office for Mac apps, which I've had for years w/o problem. They are not running when the problem occurs.
- I can click close on the Safari window (not the red button on the warning) or the back button, and the msg goes away.
- I cannot click on other items on the page when the message is there.
- [edit] Also, I've reset Safari, clearing the cache and the cookies. It's only been happening for about a week, but it happens very frequently now.
Again, I know macs don't get viruses, but does anyone have any helpful suggestions for getting rid of this?
I installed parallels in my macbook and I have the game Red Alert 3 installed in windows in the parallels. I can see that i'm connected to the network in windows and the mac and i can access the internet in both. We have 3 computers in the network, two are PC's and one is the macbook. When the PC creates a game in the same network, the other PC can see the game and join it. But the mac, which is connected to the same network, can't see the game and cannot join. How can I fix this network problem?

I have my "block pop-up windows" checked in Safari 7.0.6 and yet I am still getting a lot of unwanted pop-up ads and am getting very frustrated each time I use my computer. If I deselect "Enable JavaScript and Allow plug-ins" as suggested from a May 29, 2014 post, I can't utilize my online banking.

I've uninstalled appdelete as I now use cleanapp. Anyway, I have uninstalled it but the contextual menu is still present. I have tried looking at the services and libraries but cannot locate the specific item needed to be deleted to remove the appdelete contextual menu item.

What I want to do is, put all the system files, apps etc in that new HDD, but have my home folder on my old HDD which is bigger. How can I do that from software side? When a execute a cmd+shift+N, the folder is added to my root directory in documents. I then have to go back, find it, and drag the folder into my subfolder. It is a real pain. Does anyone have a way to add a folder into a sub-folder without having to drag it from the root?
