OS X Yosemite :: ICal Is Not Showing Event Time In Month View

Dec 9, 2014

For some reason, the time of my events stopped showing in iCal.  I get the event, but the time doesn't show unless I click on the event.  The time does show in week view, but I prefer to use month view.  This has not been an issue in the past, so I don't know what happened or if I clicked on something accidentally.  I tried going to iCal preferences, but I don't see anything that allows me to select "show time in month view" which has been suggested by other usI'm using OS X Yosemite.

OS X :: ICal Icon Invisible In Dock

Oct 24, 2008

My iCal icon is invisible within the dock. It appears the normal icon when I open iCal but when I quit it, it goes back to being invisible. I have taken it out of the dock, putting it back in the dock, and the issue is still there. This happened a few days ago, and a restart fixed the problem, but it came back today. It seems its only ical.

Applications :: ICal Dock Icon Stuck On Feb 21

Feb 23, 2010

When iCal is closed (meaning I've quit the app), the date on the iCal dock icon is "Feb 21". When I open iCal, it changes to Feb 23. When I quit again, it goes back to Feb 21. I'm pretty sure that iCal is supposed to show the correct date regardless of whether it's opened or not. Can anyone confirm this for me? Isn't the stock icon date for iCal 'July 17'?

Today is the 19th and my ical dock icon is displaying the 18th. My dates and times are correct in my preferences and display properly every where else. When I launch ical it is also on the proper date and the dock icon will display the proper date as long as ical is open. When I close ical the dock icon displays the wrong date again.

Applications :: ICal Not Updating Date In Dock Icon?

Apr 9, 2010

I just noticed that my iCal doesn't anymore update it's Dock-Icon with the correct date? I remember that this has worked flawless before, so I must have changed something (maybe the 10.6.3 update)? When I start the iCal Application, the number (e.g. 9 for 9.4.2010) gets updated, but as soon I close it, it'll go back to 6 (for 6.4.2010).

OS X :: ICal Missing Text In Month View?

Mar 6, 2009

Does anyone else notice that on Leopard's iCal in month view, certain words cause text to be missing.

for example 'The Bluejacks Duo @ The Walkabout, Cardiff' is displayed as 'The Bluejacks Duo @ The Walkabout,'

If you enter 'The Bluejacks Duo @ The Walkabout, Cardiff UK' it works fine and displays all text.

I am convinced this is a bug but it has never been fixed and noone else seems to be mentioning it.

OS X :: Editing / Viewing AM/PM From Month View In ICal?

Aug 23, 2009

Am I totally dense, or is there no way to edit AM/PM for an event from the "Month" view pop-up in iCal? And also no option in iCal to use a 24-hour clock? Doesn't this make the month view mostly useless, since you never know if the times are AM or PM?

If I have an event, starting on Friday, going on Saturday and and finishing Sunday, is it not possible to get this to show in the month view? I know it shows up in the weekly view, but it would be more helpful for me to have it up show up like this so I can get an overview of the month's forthcoming events. Or if it, are there any mods/addons etc that can enable this?

One would think this would be dead easy, but no. I've got a PDF that I need to draw a double arrow on. Placing an arrow is easy, but what the heck does the drop down menu do in the tool box that shows an icon for lines with arrows in both directions or double arrow lines. If I have the double arrow line selected and chose an new line I get nadda. If I chose an arrow I've already placed and go back to this drop down menu in the toolbox, I still see the double arrow line selected, but I've got nadda

OS X :: UPS Causes Double Battery/Power Icon In Menu Bar - Using 10.6

Aug 29, 2009

With UPS plugged in (APC) via USB, there are two "plug-in" icons - side by side. When power adapter is removed (on battery), it changes to two vertical rectangles with two dashes within each. When UPS is unplugged from USB, these change to a "battery and a half" - in other words, a normal horizontal battery indicator plus half of one to the right. The same will happen when on a/c - you end up with a normal horizontal "plugged in" status plus half of one to the right.

Toggling the "Show battery status in the menu bar" will return the icon to normal - as long as the UPS remains unplugged from USB.

Bottom line - as long as the UPS in connected via USB, there will be an incorrect power status icon. With it connected, a double display; when disconnected, one and a half normal status icons will be displayed, until the "Show battery..." is toggled.

OS X Mavericks :: Icon Hidden Behind Application Icon On Dock

Aug 31, 2014

I have this icon behind the Application icon on the dock and I cannot figure out what it is. It is not something on the desktop as I have moved the dock and can't see it, so it is definitely connected with the Application icon. I have deleted all downloads which could have been half done and I have removed an Alias I had in the Application folder. Now all the Applications appears as "Applications" in the "Kind" column when viewing in Finder.

OS X Yosemite :: Uploading Images Not Working In 10.10.1?

Nov 30, 2014

I have a macbook pro 17" 2011 model and since upgrading to Yosemite I am now unable to load images to websites such as ebay. This is just one of the sites having the problem but other sites as well where you are required to click the "load image" button. It gives you the navigation to the folder where the images are and you can see them but they are unclickable. All images are jpeg images with .jpg extension. I've included the series needed to get to the folder and you will see in the last image, none of the items are selectable, even the .jpg files.

Whats the secret to getting this option back so I can upload images to websites?
