My iTunes library sidebar in TV is showing 1 unwatched TV show, when in fact I have no TV shows in the library - I delete them after I view them.
How do I reset the 1 to zero?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy is hiding a window / app not a 1-click window control? Perhaps with Option+Click as Hide All Others.Window controls exist to streamline common tasks; hiding is a very common task in OS X.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't remember if this was a problem in previous versions of OS X but I have just begun using Yosemite and am sick an tired of seeing that sidebar in every window I open. I have searched the net looking for a way to default to "no sidebar" for every window I open to no avail.
Any terminal command or other solution to change this default behavior?
Folders disappeared from sidebar. I found them in the trash under recovered folders. Those files coincidentally are all my work documents. Not only all my work but also microsoft related such as pdfs, pptx, etc. 'Put back' not an option since files are in different formats. I am unable to open any. These are not just temp unimportant files, I must find a way to restore all contents unharmed. I have 4 recovered folders in the trash. I need to see my files as they were 12h ago.

I have just downloaded skype for the first time. I do not make many downloads. The problem is the application icon, appears in the side bar under places. I do not want it to be there. I'd rather it showed in applications or on my doc. How do i move it? Everytime I try to highlight it to drag it, it just opens up!!

I recently used LiteIcon to change how my folder icons look (because the oversaturated blue folders in Yosemite are ugly, in my opinion) and in the process, it messed up my sidebar icons.I did this one time before I updated LiteIcon and it did the exact same thing but I thought they would've fixed this since the update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to keep a folder from a network as a favorite in the Finder Sidebar, even after the networked computer has been restarted? In the course of the week, the folders I place in my favorites remain (we keep our computers on all week), but we shut down on the weekends, so come Monday morning, all of the networked folders are absent from the sidebar. I'm attempting a work-around by creating folders in my user/Home that then have aliases of the respective folders, then placing that in the sidebar, but I'd love to avoid this work-around.
I'm on a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac, but the computer I'm trying to remain linked/favorited to is a 2.8 GHz Quad Core tower (both running Yosemite).
I am a pretty experienced Mac user but have never ran into this problem. My iDisk icon in the sidebar of the Finder window doesn't have an eject button. Any disk or other removable drive gives me the eject button but not the iDisk. I am running on the latest version of Tiger (10.4.5) and a 12" 1.25GHz iBook G4 with 1.25GB Ram. I know those stats really don't make a difference, except for maybe the OS, but just in case anyone was wondering.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the Finder sidebar under shared computers, we seem to be getting duplicates. Admin Mac (1), Admin Mac (2) (when it's the same computer). How do I clear out this list so that we don't have 13 Admin Mac's on our list?
I have gone through and turned off sharing preferences restarted computers and turned Sharing preferences back on. I now see the correct computer but can't get rid of the duplicates now.

Can anyone tell me why some TV shows on iTunes which were previously available in HD, are now only available in SD?
Two examples are Legend of the Seeker and season 5 of Lost (the promo content was previously available in HD).
Also when I tried to purchased episode 11 of Fringe in HD and in SD, I recieved a message stating "THE ITEM YOU TRIED TO BUY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE".
In Path Finder and in Finder, when I look at the "SHARED" area on the left hand side of the screen, I don't see the other computers on my network as I used to. I've gone through all the usual configuration lists, but I cannot seem to find the one(s) that would impact what is shown under "SHARED".
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've done a byte to byte clone of my original 320GB bootcamp drive to a 750GB drive (connected via USB). So I remove the 320GB from bay 4 (MacPro) and slot in the 750GB into bay 4. I fire up my MacPro hit the Option key during power up and all I get is an option to select my Mac drive not my new 750GB Windows drive.
So I boot into OSX (since I have no other option) and I can see my "Untitled" Windows drive on my desktop. I can select it and browse it and I see all my Windows files. Also, under System Preferences - Startup Disk, I can see my "Windows on Untitled" listed.

You know that button in the top right of all windows which when you press it, minimises the toolbar and just shows the contents of the window (dont know what its called)... well is there a keyboard shortcut for this?
If not - anyone know how I can make a shortcut?
I'm having the same problem with Mail but with the latest Lion version (OS X v.10.7.3).Can't quit Mail, can't read messages, can't shut down.I just moved to an Apple computer with the hope to live in the "promise land" of no more crashes.Never happened to me on a PC a problem like that.

I have OS X 10.7.4 on a MacBook Air and 80% of the time, I have to force-quit Mail. It's a real pain since it prevents shut downs so I have to remember to force-quit it each time.

I recently switched from a G5 to an Intel iMac. Now my Time Machine no longer shows dates of the backups and will not allow a restore of data. Is this an inherent problem switching between the two processors?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a MacBook. I changed nothing that I know of. Suddenly when I download files they say they're going to the Download folder but when I open the folder to retrieve (or clean out) old files, there's nothing visible. It appears the file is empty. I have no other option to choose from while downloading. They just automatically go to the folder. Yet the folder's empty.
What am I doing wrong? Where are the files? I do NOT have a Download folder in my deck. (Never have.)
How do I fix this? (I need to download files from work and many of them don't allow me to "Save" as.

My RSS Visualizer screen saver no longer displays 'Press the 1 key...', 'Press the 2 key...' etc below each headline like it used to. It's simply missing, but everything else works fine.
I actually use that feature to read the NY Times headlines, so I'd like to get it back. I searched for other people with the problem and found nothing.

Is there a way to enable iPhoto '09 to show shutter speed, ISO, aperture, etc like the old one used to? I found this really useful. Now it just shows the date and a rating.
I don't want to use Aperture to manage my photo library because I only use Aperture for editing.
My finder windows seem to show that I'm "sharing" with other computers. I have file sharing turned off in System Preferences. On the left side of the finder window it shows "Favorites" and under that "Shared" pops up with what I assume are other computers nearby. These are not names of other computers in my house. These computer names pop up and come and go. They are the same two names. Underneath the "shared" names, my external drives show up under "Devices". My cable modem is connected to an Apple Airport Extreme router. Any ideas on why this "sharing" is showing up?Is my data secure?

My MacBook Pro Retina Display laptop is having display refresh issues. hard to explain whats going on, but its basicly lagging. When I open a new window, not everything shows up, sometimes only a button will show up. If the whole window does show up and I try to move it, the frame will be ghosted where every I move it. The only way I found to fix this is to restart the computer.
Its completely updated
I tried turning off the automatic graphics switching
