After updating to MacOS 10.9.3, all my rss feeds are gone. Â
If I click a link on an rss feed on a website to reinstall that rss feed, I get the message that no appropriate application is available (before updating, the rss feed showed up in the mail program).Â
How can I recover these rss feeds?
I have iWeb and I know that Apple stopped using this software and that it will not be on the new OS. I use this app and need it, so will updating to Mountain Lion delete all the apps I currently have?

My 2008 iMac bit the dust but I did consistently back up using Time Machine to an external drive. I plan on replacing it but need to get some files off the backup soon. Is it possible to connect my external backup drive to a friends iMac and copy just the files I need?

My daughter's hard drive on her macbook air became full and she was unable to iMessages sent to her. I cleaned up the HD and it now has more room. How can she recover those messages she missed the HD was full? Possible? When the HD is full do the messages still live in the "cloud?"Â

I inadvertently deleted some messages from a RSS feed in Mail.It seems that they are located in /users/* username*/library/mail/v2/RSS.I entered Time Machine and navigated the this directory in a backup and selected 'Restore'.It seemed to work but when I went back into Mail, nothing had changed. I tried earlier backups but the same.

The upgrade to Lion was a bit rocky, but I've made it through.One last thing remains: all my RSS feeds.I've tried dipping into Library/Mail/V2/RSS and dragging my Snow Leopard RSS folders in there; unsuccessful.So is importing them as mailboxes, they simply populate the sidebar on the left.I realize I could manually go and find every RSS feed URL and redo everything.But I had flagged articles and organized posts for reading/reference, and all that would be lost.If anyone knows how I can 'migrate' all of my RSS feeds from my Snow Leopard backup into Lion,

Is there an OS X/Mac only RSS feed? Seems like all the news is about iOS devices, which don't apply to me. I'd really like to see iOS and OS X platforms separated into two feeds. I'm one of those dedicated Mac fans, but couldn't care less about iOS. I do see an iPhone news page, so I thought iOS could be wrapped into that page, but really would just like an RSS feed that's OS X/Mac only.

But starting a week ago, I would delete the read feed messages, close mail and an hour later reopen mail. The feeds that I deleted, from the trash no less, reappear. No mater how many times I delete them, the reappear every time, all of them so 40 deep. I sent feedback to Apple, but wonder if anyone else has had this issue. OSX Snowleopard on a Macbook. And NO, after I upgraded to SL, it worked fine.

I have Safari set as my default browser and I have RSS feeds set in Safari preferences to use Google Reader as my default RSS reader. Problem is when I click the RSS indicator in the address bar of Safari to add the feed Camino opens up with the dialog to add the feed to Google Reader.Obviously this should happen in Safari not Camino. I also have Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera installed along with Camino and Safari. All the other browsers RSS work as they should. What could be causing this in Safari?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to itunes 10.6 and find that I can't open radio feeds. I had been having no problems until recently. Before I upgraded I had a couple of occasions of difficulty opening the link but now it is impossible. In my old version of itunes if it couldn't open the link it would indicate that I should try later. Now it just shows the horizontal barber pole and says it is refreshing the category and I can't stop the one I clicked on or start a new one. I got Jazz to open but Classic Rock and others won't open. If I try to open another category it won't stop the refreshing on the previous one.
I work on a G5 with 10.5.8. I checked on Apple's support sight and checked my settings in preferences for firewall and it allows all incoming transmissions, so it shouldn't be a port accessibility issue.

I've just started using Gruml to sync with my feeds in Google Reader. Just wondering why some feeds, including Macrumor's, only display a short summary and not the full post or images as other feeds do? Can I change this? I want to be able to read the full article without having to click through to the site - kind of makes subscribing pointless otherwise.

I am also not clear on the definition of the pubsub folder and what feeds are. Is it some sort of cache that I can get rid of on a routine basis? I am one to keep things clean and know that SL does a lot of its own maintenance and I don't mess with the system or system library folders. Just at times in my user folder, only when I know exactly what I am doing.

Itunes, and App store, safari and even Software update all crash within seconds of been launched. .There is more, but decided not to post it unless its neccesary. Â Things I have tried already:

And, if you have followed the prompts only to be faced with no software to download... The solution is to manually update to iPhoto 9.1 and then to run the updater again. When I run software update, it tells me my software is up to date. But I know for a fact it is not. I have Lion 10.7.2, and I know that 10.7.3 was released. Why won't my software update pick this up? Could it be because my internet connection is too slow and it could be timing out? I am overseas, so the wifi connection is pretty slow, just thought that may be it, but not sure.Â
