OS X Mavericks :: Accept ICS File From MS Outlook But Do Not See It In Calendar
Sep 2, 2014
I have mails with an invitation for a meeting, coming from ms outlook, in format .ics.
When I double click on it, i do not see it in my calendar - neither to accept or refuse.
(I once answered a question, sth like - isdbox need access to .. - not 100%sure about the correct question, i answered "no", but i think it should have been "yes")
Since then i can not see invitations anymore coming from an .ics file.
running Mavericks w/ Thunderbird for email and Calendar for appointments. (I tried Apple Mail and it was nothing but problems). I work in a Windows/Outlook environment. My coworkers schedule a lot of meetings using Outlook Calendar...and I no longer can receive these since I switched to Mac. (I get the email, but the appointment does not show up.) Â
Is there any way to create compatability? Â
I suppose I could try Outlook for Mac, but the user community seems to indicate that this program has a lot of issues. Â

I have the same question about printing error - remote host did not accept file data (32), is the answer the same as I saw among answers about the notification regarding printers? I have Copy Machine: Kyosera KM-2560. I print, let's say about 120 sheets on Friday. After about 50% into the spooling I get this message of the error. Would it be the printer using IP?
I am trying to attach assignments for school onto my calendar on my mac. It seems like the attachment is saved to a separate folder, so if I edit it, it will not change the original file. Is there a way to make the calder attachment the same as the original file?

We use Exchange 2007 in our office. My mail, notes, and tasks all work fine in my Outlook 2011 for MAC. The calendar is blank. I have removed and added the account twice. It's been this way for more than a week. My calendar is fine when I go through outlook web access. It is also working on my iphone. Others in the office using the same Lion version have no problems. I added my account to another MAC with 10.6.2 and everything, including calendar, works fine.
Im new to the Mac OS and just bought a MacBook Pro can any one recommend an outlook replacement. I need it to have email capabilities obviously and a calender and contracts.
I know their have been threads in the past that delt with syncing outook with OS X but I thought I would create a thread concerning iCal. Like many of you, I have to use a PC at work. I can access outlook on said PC either through webmail or Remote Desktop Connection but what I would really like is an automated way to sync my oulook calendar with iCal. I thought AddressX would work but it requires ananymous connectons to the exchange server which is apparently a no no from a security perspective. How have you sync'd outlook calendar with iCal?
I am using Entourage 2008 and sending calendar invitations to Outlook users who are NOT on an exchange server. I am able to receive and accept their invitations but they are not able to accept mine. The Entourage invitations come through with jibberish and no accept or reject option.
I first checked out iCloud page: [URL]. Seems you can use Outlook on Windows with iCloud calendar. Then I head over to MS support site to find this: [URL] : "Outlook for Mac 2011 does not support Apple iCloud calendar (CalDAV) and contact (CardDAV) synchronization." What can I do to be able to use calendars in Outlook on a Mac? Is there a way to set up Outlook for Mac the same way as Outlook for Windows (i.e. without CalDAV)? What is that sorcery Windows version is using to get the calendar from the iCloud?
I have a Mac that I put a partition on a few months ago, I now want to reformat. Yet when I go to my Recovery HD on Lion then to Disk Utility and try to format my HDD it gives me an error saying it couldn't unmount disk, the two partitions on the HDD unmount but the HDD does not. So I goggled it and read a few solutions however the most common one creating a bootable drive with the Recovery HD on it dosen't work either.
When I hide a Google calendar from the calendar list online, the calendar continues to show up on Mac OS X Mavericks Calendar. How can I get that calendar to not show up in Apple's Calendar without completely deleting it from my Google account?
is it possible to send a calendar invitation across to Windows user using Outlook 2003/2007 from Entourage 2008? I can receive a invitation from an Outlook to Entourage fine, but am not able to send one back.
My iphone4 sync to outlook 2007 calendar has stopped working.Outlook 2007 Contacts syncs fine.I've tried the various solutions offered in the Apple support to no avail, except, I have not tried removing and re-installing iTunes.
Apparently I allowed iCloud to delete all of my calendar and reminder information from my Mac.Can I restore it from iCloud, if not can I restore it from Time Machine?
I'm trying to use the free upgrade in app store for OS X Mavericks. Whenever I try to upgrade, it says "To proceed, you must read and accept the new terms and conditions." for iTunes. I have the urgent version of iTunes which 11.2.2. Â
Receive "Do you want the application "iscsid" to accept incoming network connections?" at every startup in OS X Mavericks 10.9.4. Have configured Firewall to Allow access (iscsid...Allow incoming connections) but still receive prompt. Only Support page that seemed somewhat related is URL.... Installation of Java also did not alleviate problem. No communication issues with Drobo Mini or Dashboard - just tired of receiving seemingly unnecessary modal prompt upon boot.

Adobe Reader XI(11.0.07) Will not launch. It says I have completed the download but when I go to open a document it gives me an error message "First launch Adobe Reader and accept user agreement....." I have uninstalled and re-installed several times.
On startup I get a window that asks, Do you want the application "Service" to accept incoming network applications. I can't get rid of it nor can I discover its source.
Since I have done the upgrade to Maverick my Microsoft Outlook will not open. It launches but sticls on setting up identity then shuts down. My other Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) operate normally; I am only having this issue when trying to launch Outlook for my mail.Â
i just bought a macbook pro laptop, my first mac computer. in windows xp im using outlook 2003 and i have different mail folders, exported into a few .pst files, i was wondering how i can get them into any mac mail client?
My domene and emails have been moved to office365. I connect fine with my ipad and iphone. The webmail also works fine from Safari. But when I try to add account from mac mail or outlook I get a message that I can not connect to server.I have Mavericks 10.9.3 and office 2011 installed.
It seems that I'm not alone with 'issues' in synching Outlook for Mac 2011 with mobile devices.. The setup I am trying
MacBook Air (brand new) Mavericks 10.9.3 iPhone 5 iOS 7.1.1. Outlook 2013 (brand new)Â
I've been able to succesfully import all of my email (from a previous version in windows) as well as get the contacts and the calendars imported onto Outlook for Mac, but am at my wits end to get them all talking to each other. Â
Outlook won't sync to the iPhone for mail, contacts and or calendar, nor visa versa. Â
I'm now reading that perhaps mavericks is not compatible with outlook synching services or outlook synching services isn't compatible with mavericks.
