Does anyone know what version of Exchange server does the new Outlook 2010 for Mac support?
I can't connect Outlook 2010 to a Exchange 2003 mail server.
Will lion server work for PC running outlook 2010 re mail, calendar & contacts?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am running a network using a Time Machine as my DHCP server and Verizon wireless router. I use Microsoft Exchange for email, etc. For hours at a time, my Intel iMac (OS 10.7.4) will not connect to my Exchange Server using Outlook 2012, and I can not connect to the Exchange server using my browsers-Google Chrome or Safari (Outlook web access). I get errors that the server is not available. If I use another computer on my network, like my MacBook, it connects both through Outlook or Web Access in a browser window.
I have the same problem on my iMac whether I connect via ethernet or wireless. Firewall is disabled, using no proxies, etc... The problem may persist for a few hours or a day at a time and will spontaneously resolve-I have tried changing DHCP settings, etc... The problem occurs for all user accounts, and does not seem to differ if multiple users are logged or just one. The Exchange server address is the only web address I seem to have this problem with.

One of my customers is experiencing an error with one particular Exchange 2007 shared calendar in iCal. The shared calendar he has access to is in the Delegation tab of the Exchange account as Read Only, which is his correct level of access. The calendar will initially load correctly, but over time it starts to display an error with recurring events similar to this -- "iCal can't save the event "office time - do not disturb" to the exchange server. The account can't be modified. To discard your changes and continue using the version of your calendars that's on the server, click Revert to Server. To save your changes on your computer until the problem is resolved. click Go Offline." After selecting both Go Offline or Revert to Server, it cycles through all the recurring events on an infinite loop. If you select Go Offline, the errors will stop, but taking the account back online to get calendar updates will result in the error immediately returning. Removing and re-adding the account in the delegation tab will refresh the calendar without error for a short period of time, but the errors will eventually pop up again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got an iPhone 4 and a MacBook Pro which I use for work. The help desk at work was able to set up my iPhone to receive both email and calendar appointments. On my MacBook I'm also able to get email, but for some reason I can't get the calendar function to work, using iCal. I work as a freelancer, so have a number of different calendars and not being able to sync this one makes things difficult. The help desk had a quick look at it, but said that as I'm freelance they're not required to spend any time on it (and they've got lots on their plate anyway),For me the oddity is that my iPhone has no problems, but the MacBook does (and gives me hope that there might be some small setting that I've overlooked that would fix this). So, here's what i've got. The bits in bold are the fields and the details that follow are the settings I've entered> For obvious reasons, I've removed any information that might be sensitive (e.g. usernames, password, company name).

Since moving to Yosemite I've been getting this error message with calendar - "Calendar can't save event "{event name}" to the Exchange server."Â
I'm unable to find any fix, including turning on/off time zone support. I've also re-established the exchange account more than once - each time the error eventually comes back (with a different calendar event).Â
Here's a link to a discussion on this subject, however, it was created under OS X Mountain Lion. I never encountered this issue prior to Yosemite. Thus, I created a new discussion here under OS X Yosemite.

At my company we are using windows exchange server 2003. Now my boss bought a new macbook pro (snow leapard) with Mac office 2011 installed. Apparently Outlook '11 and exchange server '03 doesn't work together. Only exchange server 2007 and up are compatible. Is there any way around this? My boss hates Office 2008. Can't blame him
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm running mail rules on my Exchange account in Outlook 2011, the app continually crashes. I've tried finding the offending mail rule, but the issue doesn't seem to associate with any single rule: it just appears to be an issue running Exchange-based rules (as opposed to local IMAP/POP rules).
When I turned off all my Excahnge-based rules, Outlook became stable. This also appears to be a carry over issue from Entourage 2008, where I began having the same problem, just before I updated.

Outlook Mail. I just recently set up two new email acounts to my mail. They worked perfectly for two days then yesterday, at random my outgoing mail stopped working (incoming still works). Â
Both of these accounts are"Exchange" accounts. As of now when I look in my availabe "Outoing Servers" it doesn't show that I have any. How to configure it to my exchange accounts.

I've been working with Mac Mail for about a month on MS Exchange 2010 and found that it would not sync up nor would it close. I later discovered that if I removed ALL rules from Mail, that everything would work properly. I don't know if this is a bug or some quirk with Mail trying to sync its rules with Exchange and Exchange going nuts trying to understand them or what... Never the less, I'm back operational again because I deleted ALL of my rules, I just wish I had some way to automatically filter some of the repetitive emails I get.Â

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe have a new Exchange 2010 server set up in our office. We upgraded from 2003 specifically to support using Apple Mail.Â
We are now connecting our various iPhones, iPads, and Macs (all running Lion) to the Exchange server and we see the iPhones and iPads sync very quickly with the server, but Apple Mail on the Macs seems to be throttling itself to about 70KB/s. The iPhone and iPads synced in minutes, but the Macs have been spinning for 3 hours now, never going above 70KB/s of download speed.Â
It's clearly not the server or the network slowing things down as the iPhones and iPads are connected over the same network.

We use Exchange 2007 in our office. My mail, notes, and tasks all work fine in my Outlook 2011 for MAC. The calendar is blank. I have removed and added the account twice. It's been this way for more than a week. My calendar is fine when I go through outlook web access. It is also working on my iphone. Others in the office using the same Lion version have no problems. I added my account to another MAC with 10.6.2 and everything, including calendar, works fine.

running Mavericks w/ Thunderbird for email and Calendar for appointments. (I tried Apple Mail and it was nothing but problems). I work in a Windows/Outlook environment. My coworkers schedule a lot of meetings using Outlook Calendar...and I no longer can receive these since I switched to Mac. (I get the email, but the appointment does not show up.) Â
Is there any way to create compatability? Â
I suppose I could try Outlook for Mac, but the user community seems to indicate that this program has a lot of issues. Â

I first checked out iCloud page: [URL]. Seems you can use Outlook on Windows with iCloud calendar. Then I head over to MS support site to find this: [URL] : "Outlook for Mac 2011 does not support Apple iCloud calendar (CalDAV) and contact (CardDAV) synchronization." What can I do to be able to use calendars in Outlook on a Mac? Is there a way to set up Outlook for Mac the same way as Outlook for Windows (i.e. without CalDAV)? What is that sorcery Windows version is using to get the calendar from the iCloud?
