Mar 6, 2009For some reason my mail app keeps crashing everytime I launch it? This just started happening today. I tried repairing disk permissions but its still doing it.

OS X :: Crashing Exactly On Midnight / Resolve This?
Jan 5, 2009For the past 3 nights, at exactly midnight, my iBook G4 running OS10.5.6 has crashed (screen goes grey, tells me to restart).
I'm thinking I'm probably going to have to reinstall the OS, unless anyone has any brilliant and wonderful ideas that I could try before going to all this effort?
Safari :: 5.1.7 Keeps Crashing Every Time Launch It?
May 14, 2012I am running Safari 5.1.7, Mac OS 10.7.4 on an iMac Intel Core 2 Duo machine, and Safari was working fine until this morning when Safari starting crashing whenever it is launched; I have the same set up on a Macbook Pro and Safari is working fine. Â
Having read a few posts i have changed the setting for Safari to 32 bit mode which has enable me to launch it, however as this is a 64bit machine that was working fine until this morning that does not really seem like a solution more like a temp fixÂ

Jul 5, 2012My mac, with os 10.4.11 can't start safari all of the sudden. the ball just goes around, then stops, then goes and my computer cranks away and then it freezes and i have to restart. when i log in under a test account safari starts up there. i've disabled plug ins, trashed preferences, trashed cookies, cache and same thing. (i'm on my laptop now). the g5 however is my work computer and i have to get safari working.

Jan 11, 2011This seems really odd, I came back to my MBA and noticed all my apps had crashed. Now I cannot open a single 3rd party application, they either don't open or crash at launch.
Any ideas? I rebooted, repaired permissions but nothing I open that isn't made by apple works.

Apr 5, 2009Recently I deleted all of my iMovie Events (Events NOT Projects) Because it was using about 80GB+ of my HDD space. I deleted these from the finder, not from within iMovie.
Now whenever I launch iMovie it will try to load the events, nothing happens, then searches for iPhoto movies, then in the video preview window I see an image saying Source Missing.

Jun 20, 2012I have a new macbook pro 15.5 and had it for 3 months after which the hard drive crashed. There goes the illusion that nothing ever happens wrong with apple... especially my first one which I treated like a baby. So it was taken into a support center, they cloned my hard drive and ordered a new one... 22 days later I get my mac back and everything seems in order. Except when I run Disk Utility it keeps crashing. Funny enough when I run it from Recovery mode from boot its fine. But when logged into the OS (Lion) it launches and starts gathering information. Then crashes and I get the submit fault dialogue..Anyway here is the log. I have run Onyx, applejack etc but the problem has not been resolved. [code]

Ever since, iTunes will attempt to launch, getting past the "loading music library" prompt but then crashing immediately following. Mar 9, 2012It first started when I tried to add music files to iTunes by draggin them into my library. It began processing and adding them to my library, but then crashed.After this, I tried reopening iTunes, and it crashes on launch.This now happens every time. I can't open my iTunes.
I've tried deleting the added files out of my iTunes folder, and I'm still getting crashing.I've even tried re-installing iTunes -- no luck

Apr 2, 2012Recently installed Lion and my mail just won't start. I've already deleted Library/Mail and the file Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist but nothing changed. The icon bounces a few times, then quits. I get a quite long error message. Should I copy it here?

Upon launching Apple Mail. the InBox will briefly display the messages in the mailbox, then clear the messges and reload from the mail server. Depending on the number of messages in the Inbox, this can take some time.Â
This only occurs if an internet connection is available. Otherwise, the mail stays put.Â
I have tried deleting and recreating both the mail server mailbox and the Apple Mail account (not at the same time), without success.Â

Sep 6, 2009Since I upgraded to SL 2 days ago (very smooth), I've had the following 2 issues, I need help with one of them (item number one below);
1. in the Apple mail app, now my inbox shows the Notes (you know the yellow notes that appear on iphone also) also, how do i stop notes from showing ?
2. every-time a launch Zinio reader its gives a message that system wants to download rosetta... I keep on saying no. I though Rosetta was the compatibility between intel and PPC and getting rosetta on SL defeats the purpose of the smaller footprint of the operating system !

Jun 17, 2010Since upgrading on Tuesday night, My mail has been crashing every time I try and compose, and/or, send an email. Also, the hard drive is running continuously, almost as if Time Machine was running or it was defragging. And, some programs, i.e. Second Life, just freeze on start-up.

Nov 29, 2008I am using Leopard version 10.5.5 on a Mac Pro and Mail keeps crashing when trying to sync accounts.
I have two MobileMe accounts that sync with the account, and it always crashes while doing a search for new mail.
It was working fine this morning, I then turned my computer off to go to work, the only difference now is that I started my computer up with my iPhone connected. At first I thought that may have been the problem, so I restarted without it.
Now for the actual question; If I can't resolve it, does anyone think that deleting the Preferences file will fix it.

Mar 5, 2009Everytime I launch Mail it works for about 2 seconds and then beach balls. I do have Safari 4 Beta installed but I DO NOT have GrowlMail installed. Any other reasons on why Mail would be crashing.

Apr 27, 2012I recently (2 months ago) purchased a new mac book pro and migrated everything from my older mac book pro running Snow Leopard to Lion.Since moving to Lion I have been experiencing frequent crashes of Mac Mail, I spend a large portion of my work day in mail and experience this as many as a dozen times a day. Mac Mail will crash while
1) composing an email,
2) when clicking a link in an email
3) clicking the attachment icon to add an attachment
4) clicking on an attachment that has been sent to me
5) somestimes just trying to exit/close Mac Mail and the it hangs and I have tp force quit. After Mac Mail crashes and is restarted, clicking on the same link or attachment will workI have removed my mail IMAP folder and settings and re-established the connection from scratch but the problem persists.I have ran the disk permissions repair utility and the problem persists. I have ran the verfiy disk utility and it reports no problems.I have ran the Apple hardware tests including the extended tests and no hardware issues are found. Has one experienced somewthing similiar?Does anyone have any suggestions where to start looking for the root cause? Intel Mac :: Mac Mail Crashing Other Programs
Jul 2, 2012We are using a Imac 27" mid 2010, Mac OS Lion. When an email arrives while working in Quark or Photoshop (and other programs) we leave the program and go to mail to read it. On returning to either Quark or Photoshop etc the program has stopped responding requiring a force quit. Mail also seems to be running slower than usual.
