I can't choose a custom photo for my Desktop wallpaper on Leopard. When I choose a Photo in my Wallpaper a popup tells me: Duplicate Folder The folder you selected is already present in the picture source list. This is wrong. And in the past it worked.

In Photo Booth you can add custom backdrops however I am unable to do so with my new macbook pro.In photo booth if you click on effects and then click the box on the farthest right. Normally you should be able to drag and drop pictures for custom backdrops. It worked before on my old macbook w/ snow leopard. Unfortunately, Apple has very lousy documentation support for Photo Booth.
Im doing a photo slideshow with some video sliced in. It should all have clean transitions that include slight zooming, scaling, panning. Each transition needs to be customized for each shot so the zooming doesn't randomly zoom into an arm or a forehead or something rediculous as of now I presume adobe premiere is what I will be using as it can do all that. I was just curious if ilife09 does it or something else so that I can get it done fast and as streamlined as possible.

I've been playing with Photo Booth on my new Mac, and most of the effects work. However, when I try the background effects (included and custom) the back ground image is not showing in the background, but instead in parts of the picture I'm trying to capture. Is there a way to adjust those settings?

Not that long ago, I found the folder that contains all the wallpaper backgrounds - I think it was somewhere in the Library? Anyways, after I found it, I added some of my own wallpaper images to the folder, so that they showed up in the pre-set folders of Nature, Plants, Abstract, etc, and not in my New Desktop Wallpapers folder. Well, now I have some new backgrounds I want to add, and for the life of me I can't remember where I found that folder before! I looked in the Library and the closest thing there is the Screensavers folder, but no wallpapers. Anyone know where this is located??
View 6 Replies View RelatedUnder System Preferences, when I try to choose a pictures folder for a screen saver, I am choosing a folder that has sub-folders with all of my pictures that aren't in iPhoto. Each time, the whole computer freezes up and I have to reboot. Force quit won't even work. I am on a MacBook Pro, using OX 10.6.2 This used to work just fine prior to upgrading to Snow Leopard.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am customizing my brand new iMac 24". Just switching from M$! I changed the default icon of my folder and I put it on the Dock. Everything fine, but the dock seems to adopt the icon of what it is INSIDE the folder, not the custom icon of the containing folder.
I wonder if I can force Dock to respect the custom icon of the folder (when there are several documents inside the folder, Dock uses the standard icon - not the new, custom one).
I've changed my stack folder from its default icon so I can recognize what's in it i.e. Microsoft Office 2008. But in order to do this, I've needed to create a folder and have it appear first i.e. 0_Icon_Microsoft_Office_2008 How do I hide this folder? Quite annoying to see this folder as it's sole purpose is for changing the icon pic. And if I hide it, will the system recognize this folder for custom icon purposes?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't like the way that finder arranges my files and folders. I have tried all the arrangements and none of them "flow" for me. What I would like to do is to be able to put my files / folders where I want them. I like to group similar folders together and put the most important files/folders at the top. Now this isn't an exhaustive list of how I want to arrange them. Its more about where my eyes go and what I want to see. I am a new mac user so maybe this is a really simple fix that I don't know about.Â

I would like to ask is it possible to load fonts into the Font Book of a MacBook Pro from a custom folder location, not from the default one?Â
Why I need this is because I work as a Web Designer and I would like to share all fonts I use with my design team, and when I add a new font or some of them adds it to be available for all of us. Right now what I do is we have a shared folder on Google Drive and every friday we update it by Copy & Pasting our fonts into that folder and then after all of us has done this we go in and Copy & Paste back all of the content, that way we keep our fonts synced.Â
What I was thinking is that if we can load the fonts directly from the shared folder would work really well to keep it in sync...

I'm not sure why but whenever I go onto the internet, my wallpaper disappears and it turns blue. If I want to restore it I have to click on a different wallpaper in system preferences then click back to the one I want. Any ideas?

What I've noticed is that if I go to the All Images folder in Finder, I can see that I have duplicate pictures and all have different sizes. What I want to know if I delete them, would I delete the ones that are in iphoto?
I just noticed that instead of the normal iTunes folder structure in my home dir of Music/iTunes/iTunes Music now the iTunes Music folder as well as the Mobile Applications folder have been copied into a new folder called iTunes Media. Is this something to do with iTunes 9 or Snow Leopard. Also what folders are safe for me to delete? Because everything has been duplicated I am wasting about 30gb of my hard drive and I'd like the space back.

Now that I have upgraded to Mavericks I am being told that this is only possible using iCloud or Face (Aperture). I do not store my photos on iCloud and have no intention whatsoever of doing so.
