View 3 RepliesI can't choose a custom photo for my Desktop wallpaper on Leopard. When I choose a Photo in my Wallpaper a popup tells me: Duplicate Folder The folder you selected is already present in the picture source list. This is wrong. And in the past it worked.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy current set up involves my 13" MacBook Pro (1280x800 res screen) hooked up to my external 1920x1080 24" monitor. I love using desktop wallpapers, but am trying to figure out a unified resolution that would match both screen resolutions since I frequently unhook my MacBook Pro and use it without the main monitor attached. I also dual-boot with Windows 7 so I have a shared partition that I have the wallpapers in. I thought I could disconnect the MacBook Pro and have a separate wallpaper for it in OS X; however, since I use it with the lid closed, when I did that, the wallpaper I had on my main monitor was used on my MacBook Pro's screen. For those of you who have a similar set up, what resolution wallpaper do you use that works without adjustment on both 1080p and 1280x800 resolutions? 1900x1200?

Photoshop CS5:When trying to change a custom paper size, in the print set up, the application quits.I’ve repaired permissions and reset the application preferences.I don’t have this problem with CS4.
I'm using Yosemite OS 10.10, haven't been able to find where to update my profile.
I'm not sure why but whenever I go onto the internet, my wallpaper disappears and it turns blue. If I want to restore it I have to click on a different wallpaper in system preferences then click back to the one I want. Any ideas?

View 4 Replies View Relatedgot back from vacation and was moving pics around iPhoto. Couldn't seem to make a copy to a flash drive so I deleted the pics and figured I'd start again.
1/2 of the pics were already off my digital camera !!!
OK....breath....now the last nice pic from the 50% of my family vacation is on my wallpaper. OK....how do I save my wallpaper to a new image ?
In other words, the image should no longer exist because I deleted it....but its on my desktop wallpaper....I need that image !!!! Any way I can save it ????
i read may post about this but still do not have a solid answer. Will 20GB partition be fine with my Macbook Air SSD drive ?
I only plan on installing a antivirus software and thats about it, maybe 1 program.
The first picture is my desktop. I currently have my wallpaper set up to change every 10 min. There are 3 pictures that rotate and as you see in the first picture, they are merging together...The second picture just shows some weird 5h*t. This happens almost every where. It happens a lot in YouTube. I have a MacBook pro i7 (2010). It's only 1 month old and this has been happening for like 2 weeks but it does not happen everyday. More like every 2-3 days. I have to restart my computer to fix.

Where's a good place to get quality wallpaper for a MB Pro? Most of the pictures I have tried have squares and weird lines on them.

done some searching and looked at the sticky but I'm still undecided about what size to get. I had originally decided on a 17inch MBP but now I'm leaning towards getting a smaller MBP and a new iMac. I'm not looking top of the line but I would like to be able to play WOW on occasion and do some on the road photo stuff (but nothing to the level of pixel peeping). I'm looking at the faster of the 2 13 inch MBP variations versus a 15 inch with the same basic specs. What I'm worried about is the 13 inch having enough horsepower to do the simple photo and games that I'd like it to do.
Right now I have basically the same setup that I'm looking at doing again. A 20 inch iMac G5 and 12.1 inch iBook G4 both bought last half of 2005 (just after the iBook was updated - remember my order was delayed waiting on the new specs). The iMac can run WOW fairly well BTW, just lag evident in the trade district in SW.
TIA and hopefully this isn't too redundant with other questions.
Just like you can on a PC? I don't know how to do it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recall that, in Leopard, you could use TinkerTool in order to set a screensaver as your wallpaper. In Snow Leopard, however, it seems as if that option has disappeared. I have tried to use Wallsaver, but moving windows around or doing something dynamic on your computer causes the screensaver to flash or distort. Does anyone know of a good way to set a screensaver as your background without any interruptions? I don't care if the utility or application allows you to select a different screensaver than the one in System Preferences.

I am running Mac OS X 10.7.3 on my MacBook Pro. I have a couple of photos that I want on my background, changing every 1 or 2 seconds, so that it will look like animated. Is there a way to make it? Minimum is listed as 5 seconds in system preferences.

I'm having a problem where my Macbook Pro keeps resetting back to the default 'space' wallpaper everytime it boots up. When I go into the settings and click on 'Desktop & Screensaver', it changes back to the wallpaper I originally set before shutting the Macbook down, without me clicking anything else.
I've read in several places that a file needs to be deleted, something like (top of my head) 'com.apple.desktop.---' in the library folder. However, that file doesn't exist or at least I can't locate it.

I'm about to get my brand new MBP in the mail and was wondering the best way to make it individual on a budget with little technical experience. I've seen some MBPs with interesting artistic designs on the back of the screen and was wondering where to buy those. Not a full color stick or anything like that, just the simple white design. For example, Kevin Rose's MPB with the DIGG logo etched in or the Ad MBP with all the different companies names etched in. I want something simple and stylish like that, only more artistic and less advertising (e.g. no words).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an aluminum Macbook Unibody 13" that I just picked up off craigslist and was wondering if anyone new what I can expand the memory to. It has 2 GB Ram in it right now, and it is the 2.4 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 250 GB Hard Drive. Also I am trying to download apple wallpapers for it, but when I set it as my wallpaper it doesn't look as clear on my background as it does in the preview, even when I copy and set the one with higher resolution. I must be doing something wrong, if you don't mind could someone take me through the steps of how to properly download and apply wallpapers, as your background?

I've Google to no end and the bottom line turns out to be reformat. I've tried editing the symbolic link, renaming the wallpaper in the system folder, etc. but upon reboot no matter what wallpaper I change it to, it reverts to just plain blue. The last thing I did on it before this problem occured was full screen iTunes and set my own wallpaper from within safari (right click Use as desktop Picture). The full screen iTunes bit may be the culprit upon a google result I found. Does anyone know a definiative solution to this issue? Just google '10.7.4 wallpaper' to see the countless others with this issue.
