Motion 5 :: Audio To Trigger Rotation In Both Directions
Aug 29, 2014I have attached an audio file behaviour to an object. I want the audio to trigger rotation in both directions. When I select 'add' in 'apply mode', I get plus values for rotation along with amplitude. When I select 'subtract', I get negative values for rotation. But when I select 'add and subtract', I only get positive values. So, for example, for the Y axis, I can have rotation to the left, or rotation to the right, but not both.

Apr 29, 2010I have ordered several new MBPs (5 with SSDs...) for my clients, but have a mechanical HDD for myself in my new MBP; I just thought about the motion sensor that locks mechanical HDD read heads on sudden acceleration, and realized that it is an OS feature... Has anyone that has a mid 2010 MBP and a SSD noticed HDD lock in sudden movement with a SSD?
You can simulate this 'lock' by moving the MacBook suddenly when playing content from the drive... Has anyone seen the drive cause playback to halt for 2-3 seconds while the SSD 'recovers'? If so, this needs to be fixed...

Dec 4, 2014I'm running a OS X 10.9.5 and just purchase Motion 5.1.2 at the APP Store and I cannot save any template in Motion 5. Every time I tried, I can hear a sound like "tunk" and I see the progressive bar very, very quickly. Doesn't seem to be normal. The project is on the respective Motion Templates file but when I open FCPX and look for the project I saved, I can see it as a thumbnail in the respective media browser but it is not available. I tried with different media and even without any media (just text) and the result is the same.

Sep 2, 2014i want to export an HD video with approx. 30 Gb. So now i have a problem: My Final Cut Pro X not want to do this, it says, 4 Gb for a "normal" DVD or approx. 9 Gb for a Blue-ray and that are not 30 Gb....
But before I buy Motion i wanna check, if it was a useful alternative.So what i want to do is following: My video with approx. 30 Gb either on 6 "normal" DVD's or on 2 Blue-Ray Disc's. If so, operate this with Motion or even with final cut pro X (and it was my mistake)?

We successfully hooked it up last night, and the video worked. I was told in the store that this setup would not transfer audio, so I already knew there would not be sound coming from the TV, rather from the Macbook instead. My Q is: What's the easiest way to get audio to come from the TV? I'd rather not buy external speakers to plug in, if I can help it.

May 29, 2010I want to convert some video files (specifically swf in this case) to audio files so I can listen on my iPod. I looked everywhere and can't find some free software that does that. There are tons that have trial periods with lots of limitations (like it won't convert anything larger than a 5k size file) so I don't want those because I won't know if the thing works well unless I pay for it. I'm not opposed to paying for a converter IF I know it works awesome on a Mac.

What ever I do with the lights, they create banding in the animation and the result is that it lookes like bad compression.

Jan 26, 2009I just installed the motion 3 dvd from the final cut studio 2 but i can't locate it anywhere in the applications or elsewhere. can't find in with search. when i go through final cut pro it also isn't available in send to menu, while color is.
I'm not sure if i'm missing something here. the installation went fine with a reboot. I tried re installing which also seemed like it happened without any problems but no traces of motion.
i have no clue where it is, unless it changed it's name and is hiding somwhere.

I'd like to disable the SMS for the SSD but keep it for the 2nd HD. Is there anyway to do this?

Mac Pro :: Motion Rendering On 8 Core 26gb Of Ram?
Feb 15, 2012I have a project that is 1280 x 720p I am doing continuous work with hours of footage. Initally i was compositing on my macbookpro i5 8gb of ram and it took 7 hours to render a 1 hr timeline. to remedy the situation, i bought a 8 core 2x 2.4 quad core macpro installed 26 gb of ram and am currently using the 5770 radeon gpu. it say it will take 2 hrs to render which is awesome but........ it always hangs. i check my activity monitor and it uses about 19gb of ram, but when i check the file (rendering to prores 4444 without alpha 1280 x 720p) it only goes up to 3gb and the render status says 35% complete but the timing doesnt change , it doesnt count down or up or nothing. i checked my ram and its all installed correctly so i have no idea what is goin on. when i had my original 6 gb of ram on the 8 core was rendering the same footage it would take 4 hours.
