MacProBook Network Connecttion Keep Resetting Ever Couple Of Minutes
May 28, 2012My internet connection keeps resetting every couple of minutes. Happens with AirPort and Ethernet connection. Any ideas on how to fix / stop?

Intel Mac :: Its Monitor Keeps Shutting Off Every Couple Of Minutes
May 13, 2012Lately my iMac monitor keeps shutting off every couple of minutes. It seems like its in sleep mode but if i move the mouse or press a button on the key board it doesn't go back on. I have to press the power button 2 times to get it to turn back on. When the monitor turns on everything is still there right before it shut off.

Mar 12, 2012The past couple of days, for no apparent reason, my iCloud mail account starts acting strangely. Everytime Mail tries to connect to a server called "p03-imap.mail.me.com" and pops up the message that my password is rejected for my user name. This started happening without me doing anything to my settings. Strangely enough, on my iPhone and my newly acquired iPad2 this issue does not appear. Has something changed on the me.com servers ?

Nov 12, 2008Since I installed Leopard on my Macbook, AirPort (network) disconnect every 5-10 mins then I have to turn the airport off and turn it on again to got it reconnected. I went several time to different apple stores but I have nothing resolved from them. they created a new user account, reinstalled Leopard etc,. I used many networks at home, school and public and the problem is still occurred. I am using a linksys router.

MacBook Pro :: CS Major Considering For Couple Models
May 22, 2010Back in February, I purchased the (at the time) base mode 15" MacBook Pro, which I shouldn't have returned (idiot). I spec whored and went for the Sony VPCF115FM/B, with i7 which has proven to be a catastrophic and horrendous piece of machinery.
It is coming in from its second round of repairs (still will have poor screen, battery life, and dismal 900MHz throttling when on battery). I am looking to get a Mac to replace it, and I've come down to a few options.
1) Get the baseline 13" model with hopefully the new BTS deal.
2) Get the mid line MBP from last generation refurbished for $1529 (2.66, 9600 320GB 4GB).
3. Get the low-end 15" from this gen with the BTS deal (required for me to afford it), and sell the iPod/Printer.
Do I need the power and screen resolution (size doesn't matter to me) or would the cheaper 13" cover me?
V10.7 Lion :: Getting OSX Crashes Every Couple Days

Dec 17, 2010I am having a problem with my external hard drive. I was using it the other day working with some of the files on it and it shut down my computer a couple times. The second time it did this, after the computer shut down, I would turn it on and then it would go right back off until I removed the hard drive and turned it on and it was fine. Now my computer won't recognize the hard drive at all when i plug it in. The light on the hard drive will come on but it will not show up on my computer.
The hard drive is a WD 1TB Passport and it still works fine with every other computer I plug it into, PCs and macs both.I have a late 2008 13" Aluminum Macbook

Aug 14, 2010So I replaced my hard drive with a brand new bigger one, booted to the DVD of Snow Leopard with my Time Machine disk plugged in as well, and did the partition and then restore steps. No, I didn't have to install MacOS X first and then migrate. I restored right from backup. Mostly worked awesomely.
Couple oddities that maybe folks here have answers for:That first step (setting that 1 partition), which I think handled the formatting as well was SUPER fast. I expected it would have to take hours for a 320gig drive. Took minutes. Do drives no longer require low-level surface formatting?My desktop background was lost. No biggie - I re-found the picture and set it.I now have a "Private" folder visible in finder that didn't used to be there. It has underneath it the following folders: etc, tftpboot, tmp, var. What's this?
MacBook Pro :: Shows The White/grey Screen For A Couple Seconds?
May 5, 2012When I boot up my MacBook Pro (Unibody 17" 2011 model), it maks the CD noise, chimes the apple chime, then shows a grey/white screen. normally, this would progress to a grey screen with the apple logo on it, followed by the login screen, however in my case, the computer seems to just shut down. the fans keep running, so i know it isn't powering down completely. i can't change the volume/etc. after the computer has done this, so i'm assuming it isn't a display issue (also the display flashes white). does anybody know what this sequence of events is a symptom of? i'd really like to get my computer working again.

May 22, 2012Suddenly a couple of movies on my website no longer play in Safari. When I try to play them I get an error message that says "Plug-In Failure". Both movies play fine in Firefox and Chrome. The movies in question are at [URL] (12 seconds long), and [URL] (20 minutes long). I am running OS X Lion 10.7.3. Safari version 5.1.3. I'd like to know if others can play these movies, in the same OS and the same version of Safari. And if so, what are your settings.
