Everytime I try to update Quicktime, I get an error message that it cannot update because of error 2738. If I try to uninstall quicktime I get the same message. I cannot use my Contour camera program without updating quicktime.I use Windows 7 system.

I have an external Vivitar V69379UA, which can be used as a Webcam. I was wanting to use it with photobooth and facetime, but I have a problem. Quicktime 10 does not detect my external camera, even after I installed the driver, which created a .component and .ini in the /Library/QuickTime folder. However, when I install Quicktime 7 on Snow Leopard, I can see the camera inside of the Quicktime 7 record video option. The problem is, PhotoBooth and FaceTime only listen to Quicktime 10, which does not detect my camera.Â

My video camera (JVC) has a USB port, when I connect the cord from the video camera to the macbook, it doesn't recognize it. I assume you can connect it to the computer this way since it has a USB port on the cam. The cam has firewire (which mac doesn't) and it charges from a dv connection.

I just bought the new Quicktime Pro application- for $30. Cannot find out how to download it. The "downloading steps" first instruct me to go to my APPLE ICON, Select SYSTEM PREFERENCES, and then select the QUICKTIME icon.... But I can't find the Quicktime Icon. It's not there. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have several HD videos from my Sony NEX-3 camera that will not play very well from within iMovie. They freeze up, or run in slow motion while the sound track continues without any problem. I've seen other related comments on this forum, but no one has suggested a fix yet. I can play my clips just fine from the finder menu using "Quick Look". Other videos from the same camera work, what has changed?

I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro, the new unibody ones, and I installed Windows XP, using BootCamp.
I made it a 29 or so GB partition, so it used the FAT32 formatting.
The program I tried to install is the eyeQ speed reading program, and the laptop exceeds every single one of the recommended requirements.
The problem comes when I am attempting to install the program, I keep getting an error message in which it says "This program cannot run on a computer with less than 64 megabytes of ram."
Last time I checked my laptop has 4 GB of ram, and it says the same thing when I checked it while running Windows XP.
My only guess, which I made while typing this, was that I should have formatted the Windows partition using NTSF.
I want to capture selections on my screen and add comments. Is there a program out there that will allow me to do that? I don't like the "grab it" program because it saves the captured file in a Tiff format instead of a Jpeg format.

I'd like that because it's the best player for Apple.The problem is however that I can only hear the sound, there's no image/video.I use 10.7.2.
