My mother used my computer to type up a document and now I don't have any of my toolbars showing. Not sure what she did. I know how to get them back but they wont stay. I want them show when I open a new document and not have to go to View--Toolbars--Standard all the time. How can I set the default back so that I have my toolbars in all my documents on Microsoft Word?

Every time I close Word my toolbars disappear. When I launch and go to View, Toolbars it shows them selected but they don't show on page. I have to uncheck and recheck to get them to appear again.

My wife is still using Microsoft Word 2000 (and running under Windows 2000) on a quite old machine; a white box we had built by a small custom builder. She's happy with it and it gets her work done. The system still runs fine and almost never crashes.I'm trying to find a way for her to migrate to OSx. I have an iBook G4/133 with 1.25 mb ram. I'm looking into Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac. I know that the forums have said there are lots of issues with Word on the mac, but I'm trying to get a sense of how bad the issues really are. The documents she works with are very simply formatted, no table of contents, no pictures, no graphs.

I start Microsoft Entourage, the software opens at least 17 windows and sometimes more.When I click on the upper section of a window in Safari, or Word, the window folds to the dock and when I click on a word, the entire word is selected.

My problem, i created one text box in a document, somehow 2 more appeared. I made the mistake of thinking that to delete the extra text boxes, i simply highlight them and delete them. Silly stupid me, nothing that simple exists and i have wasted an hour trying to figure it out. The help button does squat, barely gives you any info on a text box much less trying to delete it. Does anyone know how to delete a text box in a word document?

As I am sure you all know text edit sucks.But it automatically opens all my RTFs.I have to manually get word to open them which is a pain in the ass.How can I fix this so that all RTF's are automatically opened by WORD?I am still on the old version of word because I have to use ENDNOTE - which has no support for Word 2011 right now. After reading these forums i see that a lot of other users have been complaining about all types of problems...Yellow tint, wifi problems, over heating...etcshould I consider myself lucky? And just be happy that its only 1 small pixel?

Then when i run the game everything works fine (the begining cut scenes) but when the game is about to start it cuts off and an error popup comes up.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI'm an idiot, pleased to meet you.I had 2 external drives connected to my Macbook Pro, both had time machine back ups on...I meant to delete one of these but deleted the wrong one, and dragged it into Trash. On realising my mistake I tried to drag it back out of Trash, as you would normally but after "preparing to copy" for four hours it told me the drive was full...It's a 500gb drive, and the Time Machine back up is the only thing on it, so presumably it's just trying to copy itself when the back up is still present on the drive, albeit in the Trash.

On this particular file there was no "put back" but when i do on another folder/ file there is. WTF?
