I was viewing my mailboxes in a column on the left,then a column of the emails in my inbox then the right 2/3 of my screen showed the email massage contents. The area showing the content has disappeared and I have to double click to open an email in a separate window. How do I get the window back to the three areas(mailboxes, email list and selected massage content?
View 1 Replies View RelatedEverytime I am in a fullscreen application, like itunes or chrome, I can stay there for about 45-60seconds and then it brings me back to the desktop. It's fine when using iTunes or something but very annoying when I'm using photoediting software or music editing. By the look of what I've seen on the desktop when this happens it's like finder is switching on and off again every minute or so because the desktop goes blank and the menu bar goes blank where it says finder and such.

I start Microsoft Entourage, the software opens at least 17 windows and sometimes more.When I click on the upper section of a window in Safari, or Word, the window folds to the dock and when I click on a word, the entire word is selected.

I just got a 8 core Mac Pro at work and it has developed a nasty crashing habit. I think that I have narrowed the problem down, but I wanted to see if anyone had any advice. The machine crashes whenever I view a PowerPoint (08) or Keynote (09) file in presentation mode. In the current setup I have the presentation on one screen and my notes and information on the other screen. I am running dual 24 inch LED monitors (not mirrored) and when I disconnnect one of them, there is no crashing and the presentations work great. I have two NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 video cards.

It used to have AppleWorks on it, but since I've reinstalled 10.3, it's no longer there. (I did a clean install.) Is there an option for it? NeoOffice has a 512mb Ram requirement that isn't going to be met by this machine. Also, the internet runs rather slow on it. They have a 1.5 megabit connection. Would it be better to run it under 10.2?
I'm looking for a way to "Open at Login" various programs I have in my dock without opening the main window (like Mail, Skype, MSN and so on). Any idea?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI edit the view options for the Applications window. I make the icons bigger, and I put a photo in the background. The window looks fine until I do a reboot (I don't know about logging out - I only have one user). Then when I open the Applications window I find it has reset to smaller icons on a white background. Doesn't matter what I do when I edit the options. It always looks the same after I restart. I can't say for certain, but I think this problem has been going on since before Mavericks. I thought the cause might be a 3rd party app but I just bought a brand new iMac and the same thing happens.
