The bluetooth badly interferes with the wifi - with bluetooth on, wifi download is around 1mbps; without bluetooth it instantly jumps to 10+mbps. Problem is - I need to work on an external monitor with the bluetooth keyboard and trackpad.
Have tried altering wifi channels etc.
My macbook air running slow even on recovery mode when I press Alt + Power it takes me to Mac os Utilities the mouse barely moves, I erased every thing on the hard drive so I can install a fresh copy of mac os but I couldn't because every time I try to boot up from the USB that got the mac os it takes for ever to load the OS for installtion, and some times every thing freeze when I'm on the Mac os Utilities mode.

Mac started to run slow every now and then, updated to yosemite and now getting worse, slow to open programmes like iPhoto (getting jammed when using), websites and switching between the two. Get a coloured wheel often. More worryingly recently when waking from sleep, the left half of my screen is distorted like an old unturned TV!!

My MacBook Pro 13 inch (early 2011 - Intel Core i5 2.3Ghz) cannot get beyond password screen (bar half fills and freezes thereafter). Recently download Yosemite OS X as offered as free upgrade. Also changed the password last evening but that hardly is related to the issue. The bar is new on start up! It has worked albeit very slowly in recent days since Yosemite dowload. Was working in Mavericks okay.

I never ran into any problem with Mavericks but after upgrading to Yosemite, Mail now frequently runs up to 400% any time it is open. The problem only occurs when Mail is trying to get a message from the server, although it does not hang on every email, only certain ones that I can see in the 'Activity' Window. I've already tried to delete the accounts and restart from scratch. Now my co-worker just upgraded to Yosemite is experiencing the exact same problem on his macbook. The only way to temporarily fix the problem is to delete that specific email message Mail is trying to get from the server. It will be fine until it hangs on another email later on. The program is still usable but will drain the battery in less than an hour just for having Mail open. Now I only open Mail when I want to check emails if I'm on battery only, then immediately close it.

I recently had a new hard drive put in my 2007 iMac and have been experiencing some problems. I did a clean install of mavericks, then upgraded to Yosemite and the machine has been very laggy, finder and all programs included. I saw a few posts about FileVault being an issue but I checked and it is turned off.
I should also add that the machine was running fine on Mavericks, slowness only started after the Yosemite upgrade.

I have a 27-inch, Mid 2011 running the 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5. I currently have 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 in four slots (4 each).
When I uploaded OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and shortly after uploaded CleanMyMac 2 I started to experience tremendous latency in processing speeds on all applications. Running CleanMyMac 2 multiple times and removing no longer used apps to free up space did little to resolve the issue.

There is a process called "bird" that is running almost constantly whenever I run Activity Monitor and it is taking up to 140% of CPU time. What is "bird"? Why is it running constantly and eating up so much CPU time? Why is my iMac so slow running Mac OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite?
Other issues on my iMac include: Software Update is supposed to be updating and installing updates automatically and it is not. When I log in, I see a blank white screen with an apple logo and a progress bar below. It takes forever for the progress bar to get 1/4 of the way across, then the screen flashes and the progress bar finishes the remaining 3/4 really fast. And then once logged in, it takes forever for my dock icons to appear, and my iMac hard drive is chattering like crazy even though nothing is running yet. Whenever I launch Safari I get a progress bar in the address field that goes 1/3 of the way across and frequently hangs. All of these issues never happened before Mac OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite.

I am unable to add any songs to my iTunes. I have iTunes 12.0.1.26 and am running Yosemite 10.10.1. My iTunes is sourced to my external hard drive.
I tried mp3, Apple lossless and WAV files. I also tried downloading one of my purchased songs directly from the store. I get an error message of - 50 when I do the store download or try to drop any music file into my 'Instantly Add' folder. I cleared my caches and rebooted (3 times). I'm officially at a loss.
