2011 MacBook Air running Yosemite
The bluetooth badly interferes with the wifi - with bluetooth on, wifi download is around 1mbps; without bluetooth it instantly jumps to 10+mbps. Problem is - I need to work on an external monitor with the bluetooth keyboard and trackpad.
Have tried altering wifi channels etc.
I had the problem of continual disruption of my wifi connection. I eventually tracked down the source of this problem to interference with the wifi signal from the bluetooth wireless keyboard.
When I turned bluetooth off, the wifi is solid and no disconnection, as soon as I turn it on again and use the wireless peripherals it starts to cut off the wifi at various times. To begin with it became so bad it was cutting the wifi every 5 seconds.
I thought I had solved the problem by accessing the wireless router and changing the signal number, you know 1 through 13 or so.
I have a pretty old Titanium Mac Book that runs OS 10.3.9. It's a moderately slow machine, but still works- and although I realize that it won't be able to stream video or anything, I figure it would work for email, and basic web browsing- But I'm wondering if it's going to be compatible with any new products such as a USB wifi antenna - because the room where I want to use it won't alow for an ethernet connection- Also, will the old 10.3.9 OS allow me to connect wifi to the newer airport extreme base stations?

I think I figured something out today (I haven't seen it posted else where). So I have been having WiFi trouble lately on all channels 2.4N and G, 5.0N. My Wifi would drop come back not reconnect etc... Then I started noticing my bluetooth connection to my keyboard (the metal apple one) drop out. Anyways I turned bluetooth off on my Air and now WiFi is stable, no problems... Maybe just a coincidence so will keep testing..

when installing OSX I connected to my wired ethernet router and went through the account setup giving my full real name, full address, email etc. and my first name as the short name. I gave accurate details thinking this was for live online registration with apple. I then found that my computer name was set as "<firstname> <surname>'s MacBook Pro" and it was all only for the admin account setup on the machine.
I've been using it for a week like this and I just found that AirPort was enabled by default and I can see all my neighbours listed as wifi hotspots. This now worries me, could my neighbours also see my computer name on their wifi lists as "<firstname> <surname>'s MacBook Pro"? If so this is telling everyone in the area that I have a Macbook Pro and they could find my address in the telephone directory from my surname.
can i use an external display without cable, ie.bluetooth or wlan or wifi or whatever.

Macbook Pro (Mid-2012) Which I purchased 4 months ago.
It keeps dropping the signal about every 5 minutes, only on my home network. It's only this device too, since my phone and all of my roomates' devices are unphased. (streaming videos like it's no big deal)
This started happening after we lost connectivity with the snow a few days ago here in Seattle. I have tried all sort of troubleshooting, including the DNS thingy and restarting the router.

After upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.1, my MacBook Pro has been randomly disconnecting from the WiFi access point. Nothing has changed settings-wise, and none of the other devices have the same issue. Here's my log when it disconnects:

Recently my Bluetooth has been a pain in the... erm... posterior. I changed the batteries in my new apple keyboard today and since then it has regularly dropped out and disconnected, thankfully it reconnects its self pretty quickly. My BT MightyMouse regularly becomes jittery and delayed for about 30 seconds or so at a time. Very annoying.
It my or may not be related, but I've read about Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfering now and then.
This is a weird case that I cant explain. The wifi and bluetooth icons have disappeared from the status bar at the top of the screen. I tried to check them in system preferences but whenever i apply the settings, it goes back to how it was before. Running 10.5.8, Macbook

However, after updating to 10.7.3 (the large update) from 10.7.2 the WiFi always drops whenever I switch my Bluetooth audio on. It resumes after disabling the bluetooth audio. Please note that Bluetooth is always on in both cases, I just switch the audio output. Tried resetting SMC and PRAM - didn't work

My macbook air running slow even on recovery mode when I press Alt + Power it takes me to Mac os Utilities the mouse barely moves, I erased every thing on the hard drive so I can install a fresh copy of mac os but I couldn't because every time I try to boot up from the USB that got the mac os it takes for ever to load the OS for installtion, and some times every thing freeze when I'm on the Mac os Utilities mode.

Mac started to run slow every now and then, updated to yosemite and now getting worse, slow to open programmes like iPhoto (getting jammed when using), websites and switching between the two. Get a coloured wheel often. More worryingly recently when waking from sleep, the left half of my screen is distorted like an old unturned TV!!

I've bought my 11.6 inch MacBook Air a few weeks ago and I am really unsatisfied with the battery life I get.The reviews I read before I made the the purchase claimed that the battery life in basic usage like web browsing or watching videos was even higher than apples claimed 5 hours.I've tested my MacBook Air's battery and it lasts about 3.3 hours during video playback with wifi and bluetooth turned off and no USB devices attached to it.

When I look at the network prefs, The "Bluetooth PAN" says not connected and will not connect. They are on the same router and my Bluetooth mouse works fine. I simply can not get them to pair. I have a MacBook Pro and sometimes run VMWare Fusion / XP so that I can sync some older Nokia phones I have (that only run on PC Suite).However, my older phones don't utilize cables...you can only sync with Bluetooth or IR.I opened up the Control Panel and looked for a "Bluetooth Devices" icon, but couldn't find one.Then I opened up the Nokia "PC Suite" and Connectivity window and it gave me the option of clicking (ie: selecting to turn ON) Bluetooth and IR, but when I did, it said that this function was not available.What am I missing?My MBP obviously has all the Bluetooth and IR whistles, but when running VMWare Fusion / XP, the computer seems to disavow any knowledge that these options/functionalities are installed and working on the Mac side.

Click into something and said I wasn't connected..! I looked up to see the wifi had disconnected! So i thought it was just a fault in my wifi modem, i manually clicked my wifi again it connected. It wasn't until after the 6th time it happened that i realised it wasn't my network and that it was my laptop! now everytime im watching a movie online or youtube its get disconnected and I have to continuously manually connect to my network! This happens every 2-3 minutes and had been frequent since I have updated! It's super annoying as it interfers with my regular web surfing and have looked for and tried so many things to fix it and nothing seems to work!
