View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is pretty cool. If you are using the latest builds of the Chrome browser for Mac with the ability to install Chrome extensions, you can now install Google Voice into your browser. It adds a little icon to the right of the URL/Search bar which lets you make calls/SMS/Check your messages. Perhaps the best feature though, is that you can make calls directly from the browser - just like you can on your iPhone. Chrome will create a hyperlink on phone numbers it finds in the browser. The calls go through whichever phone (including Skype) you have set up with Google Voice. Eventually, once Gizmo5 is properly integrated with Google, you'll be able to make the full transaction without leaving your browser.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy facetime was working fine until recently it asked for a login and this time when I did login with my Apple id, it prompted for email verification. However it is not able to complete the verification and keeps giving the following error message : Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again.
I have checked the support forums and they all point towards preferences. Problem is that the preferences option for face time is grayed out and I am not able to use them.

I have noticed while using skype on my macbook pro 2012 13inch that the green light randomly but frequently shuts off for about a half second and then turns back on. During that time, my screen freezes on Skype and then returns back to normal when the green light comes back on. Is that normal with skype on mac's or is it an internal computer issue.

I wonder if with regards to accessing FaceTime on multiple devices. We have a number of Mac products (iPad, iPhones and Mac Book Pro) at our house, all connected to one wireless network. Some of these devices can log into FaceTime but others cannot (notably the MacBook pro), using the same Apple ID details. The error message I get is that I should check my network connection. However, the connection is fine, and other devices have no problems with connecting to Facetime.

my last work pc had a neat piece of software that allowed you to select a contact's phone number in the Outlook address book and then dial directly (albeit via the office Voip system).
Is anyone aware of anything similar for use with the iMac and Address Book?

I just recently set up Skype on my G5. I can make calls out and I even have voicemail set up. I bought an online number for people to use to call me. Unfortunately, the ringing sound of a phone does not sound when a person calls me. How do I fix this problem? I am disabled and ill.
You have fixed the problem discussed in the first paragraph. Could you please take a look at the Safari problem mentioned in the second?
The majority of my calls are long-distance or long local ones and this is killer to a Cell phone bill. I have not been able to get "Earthlink Truevoice" or "Vonage" to work because Safari wont open the web page that I need(http://192.168.1.1) or (http://192.168.15.1 to finish the setup for either of those two systems.
