App Store :: IPad Doesn't Download Apps
May 26, 2012When I try to download app, it requests my password. Everything is fine. App is put on my desktop, it says "waiting". But then nothing. Tried to resign, toggle on and off jiggle mode, removing and installing app again.

Aug 23, 2014I am new to iPad, barely have a clue how to use it. I find apps on the iTunes on the computer and download, but it won't sync to my iPad. It keeps saying 'you need to authorize this computer', which I do, only to be told 'it is already authorized', and it goes on like this. The apps can't be found on the iPad Itunes (I looked for even popular apps like Whisper and it isn't coming up) so it seems that the only option is to get the computer to sync with the Ipad--but how? I thought Ipad were intuitive to use but I am not find this at all right now.

Apr 19, 2012Three days ago, I stopped being able to download or view pdfs online. The problem persists whether I use Safari or Firefox and with both Preview & Adobe. I have never had this problem before. Now if I try to view a pdf online, I get a blank screen. If I try to download a pdf, I get an error message stating that the pdf cannot be opened.

Oct 26, 2010I have an iPad 32GB WiFi and a MacBook Pro as well so I was trying very hard to justify myself in getting an 11" MBA but ending up talking myself out of it. The 13" MBP is perfect for my uses. It's already lightweight and portable as it is. After playing with the 11" in the Apple store, I was impressed on how light it was. This no doubt blows away any netbook or any notebook in it's weight class in terms of size and performance. However, the MBP's battery life, hard drive space, and processing power OUTWEIGHS the reasons of dumping my 13" MBP for the Air. Also, I have it hooked up to a 21.5 Inch HP monitor at home and it's good enough to use as a main computer at home, and light enough to take on the road.
If I needed to lookup something quickly in bed or around the house, that's where the iPad comes in. If I needed to send a quick e-mail, my HTC Evo is already great at doing that. If I didn't have a 13" MBP or even the iPad, I would have most likely went ahead and purchased the MBA. Just now at this point, spending another $1000+ or getting rid of my MBP doesn't make much sense... yet.

Apr 18, 2012Is there any way to permanently keep my iphone and iPad apps OFF of my macbook pro? Every time I connect, I ensure that "sync apps" is not checked, but then iTunes says I will lose my purchases if I don't transfer them over. This does not seem to be the case, however- aren't all of your app purchases automatically registered on iCloud? So I click transfer purchases, but this of course then puts EVERY APP onto my iTunes, which takes up a whopping 36GB of space. I can't afford to have that much space taken up! Should I just ignore the iTunes warning, or is there another way to ensure that iTunes doesn't keep these seemingly useless and HUGE backups on my macbook?

OS X :: Applications Keep Disappearing / Unable To View Apps
Feb 14, 2010About 3 weeks ago, I went out of town for a week then came back. When I started up my PPC G5 iMac, I went to open Safari....but it disappeared. The icon was still in the dock, but when I clicked on it, a translucent "?" showed up over it. I tried a Spotlight search for it, and nothing came up. Same thing happened with Preview. I thought my Aunt who was staying over didn't know how to use the Mac and might have accidentally deleted them, so I used Pacifist to reinstall Safari and Preview from the Leopard disc. No big deal.
Then today, I fire up Word, but same thing! Word disappeared! Same with Excel. No matter, reinstalled from the disc. After a couple of hours, I'm back again and this time I want to use Roxio Toast....gone. And this time, I don't have any install disc (lost it during moving). And I know my Aunt can't be responsible for Toast or Word disappearing, since she left yesterday afternoon; mom was using Word on my computer and I used Toast no more than 5 days ago.
So anyone have any clue what the heck is going on with my applications literally deleting themselves?

When i get new apps in the itunes store the apps seem to automatically appear on my iphone 4s a few seconds later, but they wont on my ipad 2. Mar 27, 2012I bought a refurbished MacBook from Micro Centers, with the Leopard operating system on it. I upgraded the memory from 2G to 4Gig. I bought Snow Leopard and upgraded the operating system. Then I bought Lion from The App Store and downloaded it. Everything seems to be working fine except when I try to download Apps from the App Store, I get a warning saying "We could not complete your purchase. The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed." I am new to Apple products.
