View 2 RepliesI understand that the cloud keeps my contacts, calendars, etc, synced -- and I'm no longer syncing with my Mac.
But, here's what I'm not sure about.
If I have a video on my Mac and want to move it to the iPad, I used to place it in iTunes and do a USB sync. Can I do the same thing now to move the video?
If so, do I simply make sure that the sync settings for contacts, calendars, etc are turned off? Or does it not matter?

I have seen that several people have experienced this, and one 'solution' is to delete the album from the iPad and then move it back from iTunes. However iTunes will not let me move the album again onto my iPad. Why not? (I am having to use manual moving rather than syncing because I have another iTunes on a PC, and the iPad seems to have attached itself to that.)

My son had a number of games on my device. Now he's got one of his own and wants to move his stuff to that. Is that possible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to permanently keep my iphone and iPad apps OFF of my macbook pro? Every time I connect, I ensure that "sync apps" is not checked, but then iTunes says I will lose my purchases if I don't transfer them over. This does not seem to be the case, however- aren't all of your app purchases automatically registered on iCloud? So I click transfer purchases, but this of course then puts EVERY APP onto my iTunes, which takes up a whopping 36GB of space. I can't afford to have that much space taken up! Should I just ignore the iTunes warning, or is there another way to ensure that iTunes doesn't keep these seemingly useless and HUGE backups on my macbook?

Quick background, I just bought an iPad2 for my class and I want to only have apps related to education. My wife has an iPad 2 and whenever I buy a song, it automatically syncs it with her iPad. I don't want that with my class' iPad. Is there a way to set it up, so this will not happen?

I am new to iPad, barely have a clue how to use it. I find apps on the iTunes on the computer and download, but it won't sync to my iPad. It keeps saying 'you need to authorize this computer', which I do, only to be told 'it is already authorized', and it goes on like this. The apps can't be found on the iPad Itunes (I looked for even popular apps like Whisper and it isn't coming up) so it seems that the only option is to get the computer to sync with the Ipad--but how? I thought Ipad were intuitive to use but I am not find this at all right now.

I have an iMac that I have a second display hooked up to it. I can move an app (say Safari for example) from one display to another with my Magic Mouse. However, I also have a Magic Trackpad that I would like to do the same thing with, but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to do it. I'd really rather use the trackpad than the mouse because it's more comfortable to me.

I'm convinced that the next version of OSX will allow you to install and run natively all iPhone and iPad apps, with future screens being touch enabled, and those that aren't let you use the mouse instead of your finger when gesturing. I can't wait till I can install and run the facebook app on a MBP, for no reason in particular, just because I can.
