Aug 23, 2014I am new to iPad, barely have a clue how to use it. I find apps on the iTunes on the computer and download, but it won't sync to my iPad. It keeps saying 'you need to authorize this computer', which I do, only to be told 'it is already authorized', and it goes on like this. The apps can't be found on the iPad Itunes (I looked for even popular apps like Whisper and it isn't coming up) so it seems that the only option is to get the computer to sync with the Ipad--but how? I thought Ipad were intuitive to use but I am not find this at all right now.

Apr 15, 2012trying to find a way to sync only the apps I want to sync. But iTunes insists that I sync every single app I have downloaded in the past to my phone and I don't want all of them on there. Now after restoring I have a bunch of apps on my phone waiting to sync and now have to either restore again or individually delete all 155 of them.

Will iTunes download all the apps off of his phone or will it delete everything from the phone? I've transfered all his music into itunes on the Mac. Can I just go to the iTunes folder on his PC and copy the apps folder to the Mac iTunes folder?

If I choose to sync my iPhone (4S) with iTunes on the MacBook, will it delete my apps and data (as the warning in iTunes leads me to believe)? I do use iCloud backup on the iPhone, and I've got all kinds of apps installed (and arranged to my liking). What's the best way to have my music sync with the MacBook without having to reinstall my apps?

I am now concerned that my apps will be reinstalled and reconfigured again when I sync my music - forcing me to again spend the time sorting them out. Is this the case or will my apps stay where they are and unaffected? The message I am receiving is as follows;
The iPhone “Lukes’s iPhone” is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?
An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library.

May 10, 2012When you sync your iPhone you sometimes get the following message:
Itunes has found purchased items on the iphone thats arenot present in your itunes library.
There are two reasons for this:
1. I have deleted apps in iTunes that I don't want, but not on the iPhone. I don't want to transfer the apps back to iTunes because I want them gone.
2. I have bought apps on the iPhone that I do want to keep. I want these transferred to iTunes.
So if I have both types 1 and 2 then there is no good answer. Preferably iTunes should offer to sync and choose which apps to transfer and what not to transfer. Is there a way to change this behaviour? By the time I sync I don't know what I've done so I'm usually not sure how to answer the question. Sometimes I like to bulk delete apps in iTunes--it is easier than doing it on the iPhone.

What I am trying to do is sync two folders (one on my computer and another on my USB stick) and have those two folders sync'ed. Most programs I have found just sync from one folder to another but I would like it two way Ie if I create a new file on the USB stick and uni and also create a new file on my computer at home, I would like both these files to sync.

Under Itunes in the Cloud all my apps are listed as hidden but when I click "view hidden purchases" it says I do not have any hidden purchases. I have three Macs and all are experiencing the same issue so this is an account problem and not a computer software problem. The funny thing is that it's still recognizing updates.Yes, I've tried signing out and back in to view my account with no luck. The only thing I did weird last night was I disabled the Itunes store and automatic downloading on one computer. This morning when I had the above problem I put all the settings back.

Dec 18, 2009I have a new 21.5" iMac and have been playing around with everything. When I started two weeks ago I had an Apps folder with the Apps logo on the dock to the right of the dotted separation. All the applications are there lined up with the first application showing but for my consternation I cannot put the Applications in there folder like it was when I started out two weeks ago. This is the Snow Leopard OS.
