Aug 23, 2014I am new to iPad, barely have a clue how to use it. I find apps on the iTunes on the computer and download, but it won't sync to my iPad. It keeps saying 'you need to authorize this computer', which I do, only to be told 'it is already authorized', and it goes on like this. The apps can't be found on the iPad Itunes (I looked for even popular apps like Whisper and it isn't coming up) so it seems that the only option is to get the computer to sync with the Ipad--but how? I thought Ipad were intuitive to use but I am not find this at all right now.

Apr 18, 2012Is there any way to permanently keep my iphone and iPad apps OFF of my macbook pro? Every time I connect, I ensure that "sync apps" is not checked, but then iTunes says I will lose my purchases if I don't transfer them over. This does not seem to be the case, however- aren't all of your app purchases automatically registered on iCloud? So I click transfer purchases, but this of course then puts EVERY APP onto my iTunes, which takes up a whopping 36GB of space. I can't afford to have that much space taken up! Should I just ignore the iTunes warning, or is there another way to ensure that iTunes doesn't keep these seemingly useless and HUGE backups on my macbook?

Jan 25, 2009I started video ages ago but the monumental moment was the switch to mac. I started with a 20" Al. iMac with 4 gigs of ram. Started off okay as I was still doing standard definition. Then I went hi-def and I fall asleep during rendering times. It's time to go pro. I will be getting a 8 core 2.8ghz mac pro with 32 gigs ram and 512 video card (NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB). What I am asking you guys is what hard drive set up (Solid state and Normal Hard drive) will help accelerate the rendering time?
Here's what I think:
Drive 1: SSD 80gig
used for OS & Apps
Drive 2: SSD 250gig
Used for CURRENT project of the week. Used to read info.
Drive 3: 10k RPM drive 500-1000gig
Scratch Disk for writing/rendering projects
Drive 4: Storage
Keep in mind that I also use shake, quake, logic 8, PS3, and crunch a lot of DVD's to video.
