View 4 Replies View RelatedI noticed that there is a problem with e-banking and the newly updated Safari. I can get into my face page but I cannot open the e-checking portion of the bank's e-bank page. The bank told me that they have had many problems with Safari since the update. I opened up FireFox and everything works OK. Is the general concensus, from what I have read, the problem is JAVA? I have resetted and thrown away the cookies persuant to by bank.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a recovering PC user :P and was wondering if the Mac had any free programs to record live streams as they are occurring. I have this radio program I listen to, and I can record it using Audacity, but the sound quality is a little diminished but more importantly, it picks up background sounds. Is there anyway to record the actual live stream without using a microphone so that the recorded version doesn't have all that background noise??

I'm trying to burn some DVDs. I first burned in Finder and found out the hard way that that makes terrible quality data disc DVDs. Then I tried on iDVD, and at first it said it would only take 3 hours to burn a 1 1/2 hour movie on Professional Quality, so I was happy. But as it was encoding, it jumped to 16+ hours! So I tried again with only high quality, and it still said 8 hours, and now after 10 hours is still encoding. So, I need something else that's faster. I also need something relatively easy to learn/use. It may sound like I know what I'm talking about kind of, but I really don't and I just barely figured iDVD out. I still want it to convert into DVD quality discs (and good quality - I just got a new HDTV and would even like to try burning HD or Blu-ray discs). And I need it to be free.
So, my needs are:
#1 - FAST
#2 - FREE
#3 - GOOD QUALITY CONVERSIONS
#4 - EASY TO LEARN/USE

View 9 Replies View RelatedWe've been running Clients & Profits for the longest time in our Mac-only office. Frankly it sucks, and we are looking toward something with less of a learning curve for potential accounting employees whose experience mostly seems to center around Quickbooks. Looking at Quickbooks for Mac, it is clearly not the same thing and I don't think it suits our needs. We need something where all users can access the database and add time, create POs and invoices, etc, but at the same time isn't foreign to someone trained in Quickbooks. Does this exist??
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to find an easy-to-use, inexpensive bookkeeping/accounting package for the Mac to help me manage my business.
Most things I've found have either been too expensive (several hundred pounds) or too difficult for a non-accountant to use.
A few days ago I stumbled upon a Bristol, England firm called InstantAdmin. The software is very straightforward, easy-to-use, and does pretty much what I need it to do.
The only problem: I can't get anyone to answer my emails about a few questions I have and a couple of problems with functionality that I've found.
Does anyone here have any experience of InstantAdmin? I'm hoping this isn't some fly-by-night outfit as I'd really like to buy this software, but not if I can't get a simple reply to an email.
