View 22 RepliesI know Photoshop is somehow would be the best photo editing, but does anybody know the easy and FREE photo editing for Mac like the one from www.photoscape.org? I'm using it on my Dell, and quite overwhelming with it's ability to my need to editing my photos, and most of all, it's free! I don't use Windows on my Mac.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBasic question, had a photo sent to me that I wanted to make a hard copy of but when I clicked on print only the top of one person's head appeared on the hard copy, I tried down sizing but all that happened was I got a smaller picture of the same person's head. Not sure what program I should use or exactly what I need to do to get a correct sized print.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been looking around the forums but came up empty handed. I was wondering what good free photoshop(like) programs there are. All I literally want to be able to do is get two separate photos and put them side by side and export them as one photo. Basically I want to make a wallpaper. I've heard about GIMP but is that what I want? Is there a more basic photo editor?

View 8 Replies View Relatedi m looking for a free programm to upload my files pics via ftp to my server
View 8 Replies View RelatedIve downloaded a bunch, but couldnt find one that fit my needs.
So on microsoft paint, you have the ability to set specific margins when printing, fit to page, center, etc... as well as change printer, paper type, and ink settings for optimal quality..
however i couldnt find one thus far to use on my mac.. closest ive downloaded has been google's picasa but there are only preset margins and nothing regarding print quality, etc
so i need a program with these capabilities..it doesnt need to be a good photo editor... i just need to open existing photos and be able to adjust print margins/ quality myself
This is probably fixed in Leopard, but I still run Tiger so I was hoping someone could point me towards an alternative to Preview? I hate the fact that I open a folder containing pictures (which aren't imported to iPhoto), and i have to select all the photos in order for them to be viewable in the same window in Preview. I know I know, im lazy, but seriously, you don't need to have that extra step in order to be able to scroll through the pictures. On Windows you just double click the picture and then all you have to do is click left or right to view the next photo in the folder. Is there any program strictly for viewing photos like preview?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a huge project for a national competition that I am making a video for as an introduction to our keynote presentation. I am looking for a program that can make a slideshow by dumping in photos then able to export as a .mov or other format to incorporate into my movie for the presentation (instead of doing it by hand).

I have to use computer generated graphs of equations for my calculus class and am in need of a program similar to the Winplot for Windows. Anybody know of any online or free download for Mac?
View 6 Replies View RelatedA feature I loved on Win7 was the ability to drag a window to the side and have it resized to fit half the screen. I found for Snow Leopard a software called Cinch that does that but I wanted to know if there was any free or built in alternative to it, I googled and searched the forum
View 5 Replies View RelatedIm doing a photo slideshow with some video sliced in. It should all have clean transitions that include slight zooming, scaling, panning. Each transition needs to be customized for each shot so the zooming doesn't randomly zoom into an arm or a forehead or something rediculous as of now I presume adobe premiere is what I will be using as it can do all that. I was just curious if ilife09 does it or something else so that I can get it done fast and as streamlined as possible.
the presentation then has to be burned to a DVD.
I recently put up an e-commerce site and as part of entering products I can input images in 3 sizes.
1. 100 x 80 which is used for photos put on the main page of the website to be clicked on for further information
2. 200 x 250 to be used for the image in the actual product description
3. 300 x 400 to be used as a larger photo as a pop-up picture if someone wants to see a larger picture.
The pictures can vary in size but unless the variation is small the pictures will all very in size on the main page of my website which will give it a bad appearance.
Unfortunately when I get stock photos many vary in size. I want to know if there's an easy way to resize pictures. The only concerns I have is that making them larger may make them appear stretched or making them smaller may give the opposite appearance. Also, since I am doing this to many pictures I want a solution that is quick and easy, maybe as simple as taking a picture, choosing a new size, and saving it with the change.
I currently have the Adobe Creative Suite 3 with PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Fireworks but am not sure if this does it in an easy way and of course I prefer to use Mac over Windows
I'm looking for a good, free weather program. Not any of the ones that just put the temp up on your finder bar.
Just bought my first iMac, and I'm trying to find a simple free home budget program. I used SimpleD Budget for Windows, and am looking for something similar. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't mind paying for it if it is good.
I'm trying to burn some DVDs. I first burned in Finder and found out the hard way that that makes terrible quality data disc DVDs. Then I tried on iDVD, and at first it said it would only take 3 hours to burn a 1 1/2 hour movie on Professional Quality, so I was happy. But as it was encoding, it jumped to 16+ hours! So I tried again with only high quality, and it still said 8 hours, and now after 10 hours is still encoding. So, I need something else that's faster. I also need something relatively easy to learn/use. It may sound like I know what I'm talking about kind of, but I really don't and I just barely figured iDVD out. I still want it to convert into DVD quality discs (and good quality - I just got a new HDTV and would even like to try burning HD or Blu-ray discs). And I need it to be free.
So, my needs are:
#1 - FAST
#2 - FREE
#3 - GOOD QUALITY CONVERSIONS
#4 - EASY TO LEARN/USE

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a recovering PC user :P and was wondering if the Mac had any free programs to record live streams as they are occurring. I have this radio program I listen to, and I can record it using Audacity, but the sound quality is a little diminished but more importantly, it picks up background sounds. Is there anyway to record the actual live stream without using a microphone so that the recorded version doesn't have all that background noise??
