Applications :: Any Free Program To Generate Graph Of Equations?
Feb 25, 2009
I have to use computer generated graphs of equations for my calculus class and am in need of a program similar to the Winplot for Windows. Anybody know of any online or free download for Mac?
I need to be able to write math equations that I can save to a pdf. Pretty much instructions on how to do different problems. I will need graphs, and all the math symbols that are out there. Does anyone know of a program that has this for mac? I need to create equations and the solutions to those equations. (Almost like writing a math book)
After ripping a DVD to a Mac on MacTheRipper, how would I then convert the VOB. files into MP4. files to make them compatible with iTunes so I can sync them onto my iPod.
I know Photoshop is somehow would be the best photo editing, but does anybody know the easy and FREE photo editing for Mac like the one from www.photoscape.org? I'm using it on my Dell, and quite overwhelming with it's ability to my need to editing my photos, and most of all, it's free! I don't use Windows on my Mac.
Just bought my first iMac, and I'm trying to find a simple free home budget program. I used SimpleD Budget for Windows, and am looking for something similar. Any help would be appreciated!
I'm trying to burn some DVDs. I first burned in Finder and found out the hard way that that makes terrible quality data disc DVDs. Then I tried on iDVD, and at first it said it would only take 3 hours to burn a 1 1/2 hour movie on Professional Quality, so I was happy. But as it was encoding, it jumped to 16+ hours! So I tried again with only high quality, and it still said 8 hours, and now after 10 hours is still encoding. So, I need something else that's faster. I also need something relatively easy to learn/use. It may sound like I know what I'm talking about kind of, but I really don't and I just barely figured iDVD out. I still want it to convert into DVD quality discs (and good quality - I just got a new HDTV and would even like to try burning HD or Blu-ray discs). And I need it to be free.
So, my needs are:
#1 - FAST #2 - FREE #3 - GOOD QUALITY CONVERSIONS #4 - EASY TO LEARN/USE
I created my own app. Now i want to add a serial. How do i generate it with a number for example 123456789 so in crates a combination of 321458679 for example is there any app which would do it?
A consumer, had purchased a piece of software (legally of course), say Adobe Photoshop CS3, but for some reason, he/she lost his/her license key and he/she just bought CS4 as an upgrade; Adobe can't help because it's after hours and he/she needs to install CS4 because it is needed right now.
Since you are installing an upgrade, the software will ask for your previous license key to verify this. Knowing that the consumer has already legally purchased CS3 and an upgrade to CS4, he/she uses a keygen to generate a license to CS3 and installs the software.
Would you think this is legal and should be okay to do?
I'm disappointed with the new Outlook 2011 that it doesn't have a read receipts.is there anyways to generate read receipts on outlook 2011? if not does Mail on Mac have this feature? or is there anyway to have this feature.
I want to insert a date in the header and save it as a template. Just as what the templates shipped with Pages. I have no difficulty in inserting the date( from the date menu), and I saved it as a template. The question is that when I use the template next time, the date is the date that I created the template. While apple's template has no this kind of problem.
I forgot to test this in Page '08 before the trial period expired, so I hope you don't mind me asking here!
Can you insert mathematical equations into a Pages '08 word processing document, like you can in Word '04 with the Microsoft Equation Editor (and similarly in AppleWorks with Equation Editor)?
I am using Office on my MBP. I want to know if there's a program or add on out there for the mac office to write equations, symbols, etc., into a every day document.
I have been having a problem with my office:word '08. My math professor sends out documents with equations and when i open these documents the equations end up all squished up and makes it almost impossible to understand. Is there any solution to this problem?
Is there anything that works with iwork so that i could type chemical equations and have them appear as they would in a textbook? I googled but idk if any are trustworthy or not. I also called apple and the support guy literally
I am making a presentation for one of my classes and I need to insert equations into Keynote. The type of equations I need are one's that use theta's, delta's, lots of greek symbols, and they have to be in variable form with stuff on both sides of the equal sign. I can't find a way to do this. I've tried creating them with Word then cutting and pasting, but they don't show up. Anyone able to do this or have an idea?
I am using the latest Keynote version and office Mac X.
P.S., I thought about using PowerPoint, but everyone will be using that so I want have my presentation stand out, so I am going to use Keynote.
I'm trying to create a chart on excel 08 that for the following type of data: A X Y 1 a 4 1 b 5 1 c 8 2 d 4 2 e 7 2 f 6 3 g 4 3 h 7 3 i 2
The graph has column X on the X-axis and Y on the y-axis. Is there a way graph the means of the Y column for each of the groups in column A (1's, 2's, 3's)?
I want to insert numbered equations into pages that are centered with Mathtype. In pages there is only an insert Mathtype Equation command, not a full toolbar with different alignment and numbering options as in Word. There seems to be nowhere within Mathtype itself I can see where I can make the equation centered and numbered. Inside Pages I cant center the equation as the option is greyed out and no visible option for numbering.
I need to make a very, very simple line graph. In column A, I have a list of years. In column B, I have the data....numbers that correspond to something in that year. Simple, right? It really couldn't be any less complex. I selected both columns, then I went to create a new line graph, and it created a graph that had the years (from 0-2500 even though the actual range is 1973-2005) on the Y axis, and the data on the X axis. And each column of data was its own series, so I had 2 lines, which, due to the scales, was basically 2 horizontal lines. I removed the extra series (the year series), and was able to get the line to look right. It also put the column B data on the Y axis like I want, but on the X axis, it just counts from 1-33. But I want the years on the X axis. How the hell do I do this? I'm 99% positive Excel 2004 let you set the X axis labels.....did they really remove it in 2008? This seems like something that should be so simple, I shouldn't have to post on a forum to figure out
I'm having a small problem in Grapher. I'm supposed to graph a set of data points for a project, which I have done, but when I export the graph as an image, the data points aren't there. I think this might have to do with getting rid of the line connecting them (which I am not supposed to have). Is there a way to keep the data points visible in the exported image?
