OS X :: MBP 13'' Freezing Pinwheel When Shows In Screensaver Preference
Jun 28, 2009I got a new MBP 13" and did a time machine restore on it and everything is working fantastic but when i try to go into the Screensaver Preference it locks up and I get the Pinwheel I can click on an Screensaver i want but nothing happens it just keeps pinwheelin' and after a couple minutes it finally picks it its annoying and i dont know why its doing it does anyone have any insight?

OS X Yosemite :: Safari Freezing / Brightness Didn't Change
Dec 1, 2014when i was on my laptop and i forgot to put it on charge so it went flat while i was watching a movie (not on the internet). I couldn't be bothered charging it so i just put it down and went to sleep. The next morning i turned it on and tried opening safari and it went extremely slow, i got the beach ball and when i clicked the apple on top left to try to force quit, after 2 seconds of clicking that froze. When i tried to force quit it from my dock i would click force quit and then my dock would freeze. At this point my mac was just about completely frozen. The brightness didn't change, sound nothing but only the mouse could move. I reset and the exact same thing happened. Google Chrome works so i am using this and i get no freezing problems. It is just when i use Safari.

Oct 7, 2010Today I found this cool sreensaver on the net and I downloaded it when I went to try it. It didn't work. I try the test (in preferences) and it works but when I Hot Corner (Start SS) to test it out it load up a black screen with little dots (in the middle top of the screen) then it crush (it just close).

Mar 17, 2010I recall that, in Leopard, you could use TinkerTool in order to set a screensaver as your wallpaper. In Snow Leopard, however, it seems as if that option has disappeared. I have tried to use Wallsaver, but moving windows around or doing something dynamic on your computer causes the screensaver to flash or distort. Does anyone know of a good way to set a screensaver as your background without any interruptions? I don't care if the utility or application allows you to select a different screensaver than the one in System Preferences.

Mar 23, 2012My screensaver keeps turning on very quickly, even when I'm in the middle of using it. I can be typing a sentence in Word and it'll try to go to the screensaver. The screen will go black, but as soon as I type something it goes back to a regular screen. The preferences have the screensaver coming on after 15 minutes. I don't understand what's going on. The only thing I can think of is that I recently installed Air Display which is used to make my ipad an extra monitor, but turning the application off doesn't solve the problem. Also, there's nothing in the preferences for the application about screensavers.

OS X :: MBP Hangs After Coming Out Of Screensaver
Feb 13, 2009I've got my MBP running the iTunes cover art as the screen saver, and to lock the computer when it goes into the screen saver. Every once and awhile, it'll hang when I try to bring it out of the screen saver to put my password in. The screensaver will be playing, then I wiggle the mouse, and the screen goes black, as it does normally followed by the username/password box.
But that box never shows up, just the cursor and a black screen. It's not every single time either, kinda intermittent. I've had to do a hard power down to get out of it, unfortunately. This doesn't cause any file corruption, does it? Anyway I've now set my firewall to allow incoming SSH connections only from my user, so that at least I can SSH into it from my iPod Touch, should it happen again.
OS X :: Screensaver Bypass Code?
Mar 18, 2009I have a MacBook I usually bring to work. My co-workers and michevious and always try to change my background, etc.
I leave on my screensaver password. I close the lid to my laptop to initiate the password protect.
So last night I came back from lunch, open up my MacBook and my co-worker comes next to me, it seems like she put a code, and then unlocked my MacBook.
It's either 1.) She know's my password or 2.) there's a bypass code because she typed something and it unlocked.
Anyone know how to hack it?
OS X :: Desktop And Screensaver Menu?

When i open up "desktop and screensaver" menu, it always open screensaver by default. It is a bit annoying to me, simply because i never use the screensaver.
And i remember a time when Desktop was always the first screen by default.
It pisses me off and i'm seriously thinking of reinstalling Mac OS X...(ok, just kiddin! :P)
Anyway, if someone have a solution to this simple and little thing, i would gave him all my gratitude and even pay him a beer in the afterlife. (You may have to remind me though)
