Feb 21, 2009I have no idea what happened. it was working fine last week, and then the other day I tried to open up iMovie and i get "The operation could not be completed / An unexpected error occurred (error code -10810)" This happens every time i try to open anything in my applications folder. the programs on my dock open up fine.

May 3, 2012My 11" MacBook Air recently just started randomly switching from full screen apps back to the desktop by itself without me using the 4-fingered swipe to change desktops/apps. I've tried quitting (almost) every app and no matter what app is left open, it keeps sliding from the full screen app back to the desktop. I've rebooted the laptop a good three times and it's also been fully shut down and turned back on twice and it still keeps switching.

Oct 15, 2010I have a 2007 15" MacBook Pro that I'm trying to clean up to give to my wife, well I think I did a bad thing. As I was going through things to delete in the trash, I accidentally deleted the "All Documents Folder", now I can't get any of the apps to work. I haven't emptied the trash bin. So I thought maybe I could copy them back to my desktop, well that wasn't a good thing since there was like 12,000 files and it really slowed the laptop down. So I thought I would do a complete clean install using the original start up disk. Well following the instruction to restart the computer, after the restart I get a diagonal screen and can't read it because the picture is staggered. So I eject the install disc and restart the laptop and everything is fine, but still can't open anything, because it says app can't is in the trash.

When I double click on my hard drive icon, the finder briefly appears then disappears (just a split second) I cannot open the hard drive folder without it immediately closing. Apr 16, 2012An icon appeared on my wife's Macbook Air desktop and she has no idea where it came from, what it is or how to get rid of it. It has a red and white "pdf" icon with the title Acr790289319801612880.tmp. Nothing happens when it's double clicked, or if she tries to open it under "File" then "Open." I changed the extension to .pdf and tried to open it, but no dice. If she drags it into the trash it makes the sound effect of dropping into the can but remains on the desktop and doesn't show up in the trash. How to get rid of it?

Apr 25, 2012Suddenly on start up from sleep mode I have prior windows of my email client and my browser (Entourage and Chrome) frozen. I have both of these set as start up items and new versions will open and are operative but the old windows for both remain like a screen shot. Along the menu bar is a 'ghost' image-a menu bar in faded gray and slightly blurred- behind the exiting one that is operable. I have repaired permissions, re set pram...it will not go away or move. I am on mcp OS 10.7.3. Have not installed anything newm in last few days.

Jun 2, 2009Every so often the Finder just freezes: can't select any desktop icons or dock apps. Relaunching Finder always fixes it, but it is annoying. I have repaired permissions, cleared caches, no dice, still happens.
