i have safari 5.1.2 when i expand the 'show more' section below a video to view the extra information, the info will not show the box expands but it's blank. the only way to view the info is highlight and drag downward the text you can see at the very top of the box

One is that since upgrading to "Lion", when using Safari, it will suddenly expand and become almost unusable. For example, when filling in a form and the screen suddenly enlarges, I can continue to fill in the form but I cannot submit it. I have to either go back a page, or come out of Safari totally, and restart.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was watching YouTube on my Mac book Air. I paused it and closed the laptop. When I opened it and tried to turn it on, it shows a blank screen. But when I press esc, I can barely see a very very very faint login page with the box asking for my password. When I type my password, it logs in and I can play the YouTube and hear everything and all. But my screen is just black. My keyboard lights doesn't light up either. I've tried everything.

I insert a known blank Sony DVD-R, the drive seems to shutter a bit more than it has in the past then the disk icon shows up on the desktop as usual. Add items, hit burn, 1 second later error message Untitled DVD cant be burned because the disc is read-only and cant be modified (error code 0x80020042), disk ejects. When I look under "About this Mac" >Disc Burning and insert a new known blank Sony DVD-R, hit refresh, and look under Media: Blank: shows NO, Erasable: shows NO, Overwritable shows No, but Appendable: show Yes. To make matters more cloudy CDs burn just fine and I can read all expected medias. Only odd thing I have done in this time period was set the computer to book into 64-bit.

I am using Chrome as my internet browser and when I go to YouTube it does not show the video. I can hear the audio but the box where the video should be is just a blank screen of grey.

When I want to watch a video on youtube, the highest quality I can choose is 720p. And I know these videos can be viewed in higher qualities (1080p or higher). View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a user who inserts a blank CD in internal drive and it won't show up on desktop, but does show up in disk utiility and can be ejected thru disk utiility. System is 10.3.9.
If we insert a CD with data on it, NAV scans and it shows up right away on desktop. Only happens with blank CDs. And yes, this is a DVD-RW and CD-RW drive.
I trashed Finder prefs and rebooted machine, same issue. Has anyone seen this and if so, got an answer?

Is it possible to move an item from the "More" section of the Contextual Menu up to the main section? In the attached screen shot you can see an item "Snag Path Unix" at the very bottom. I use this function about 100 times a day and it is very inconvenient that I have to go through a submenu for that.

Occasionally while I'm working, the safari window I have open will go white and refuse to reload. I'm always able to type in the address box, and if I have other tabs in the same window they won't blank, but I don't know why it acts this way- is there something wrong with the computer? It isn't one specific site that's causing the problem, it happens across a range of pages. I'm working with Lion software.

My safari extensions window has gone blank. I have a MacBook Pro running 10.7.4, and I recently downloaded some extensions from the Apple Site. After installing Chrome 18 yesterday, videos in you-tube in Safari did not play. I removed the NP-PP-DIR-Shockwave plugin, and now at least some videos play.I do not have any extensions in Safari. Mine runs in slow motion. The audio is fine but the video is not.

Youtube vidoes are working fine when I'm actually on youtube but if its embedded on another website (facebook, forums etc.) it won't load. On forums, the space where the video is embedded is just blank while on facebook when I click play, there is just a white screen. I've re-installed my flash player multiple times. I've disabled all plug-ins and still won't work. I've taken out my com.apple.safari plist onto my desktop and loaded my safari again.. still doesn't work...

I've a MacBook Pro and I can't go to Youtube and Google Maps with Safari. I've also tried with Firefox but the problem is still not solved.Actually, Safari (or Firefox) keeps charging the page but is unable to get it. I always see a blank page. It only happens with these two websites. Other sites are working perfectly.I've tried so many things like installing the flash, erasing cookies or cache, installing updates but nothing helped. This is really annoying. Just to give you an example, if I try to localize my MacBook I just can't see where it is as the map is not appearing.
