Now my computer runs slower and start up takes a lot longer. How to take this MacKeeper off my computer. FYI, I deleted every know MacKeeper file on my hard drive, still to no avail.Â

Aug 30, 2014decided to download some apps without paying attention and decided to download InstallMac into my Macbook Pro. I have done some previous research and installed the Adware Removal Tool and it did work delete some of the items, but I think there's still more to delete that the adware removal tool did not get. Â
Whenever I search something on Google Chrome, the address bar will show search.strtpoint.com before redirecting to my search. For example if I type the letters dasf in the search bar on Google Chrome it will show the url: [URL]
I've tried using Avast full system scan and many of the items couldn't be deleted. It would say, Unable to scan: 1675 items and about 37 infections and I believe this is all from the Install Mac that I've downloaded.

Dec 5, 2008I just recently got my first mac, after getting completely fed up with Windows on plenty of pc's i took the plunge and made the switch and have zero complaints or problems thus far.
I used to burn plenty of DVD's on my pc's and my first line of business with the mac was to find a way to continue my collection. From my limited research I found out Toast was the easiest and most straightforward way to burn DVD's. I jumped on it and bought it without looking too far into it(possible mistake in the end?). went to copy a dvd and turns out it does not get through the encryption on DVD's(on current settings).
I'm looking for some help in burning encrypted dvd's. Whether it is another program to break the encryption and allow Toast to burn it, or another program altogether to do it all in
one step

I have found many programs such as MrClean that find duplicates of songs but I do not want to accidentally delete the high quality mp3's or flac files. Is there any program that can do this for me? Apr 11, 2012I was just browsing on Safari when I went to a website and this mackeeper pop up ad came up. It tells me that to keep my mac safe or whatever, I have to install this mackeeper thing. I knew it was a virus so I was trying to figure out how to close it but there is no option to close it, the only option is to click ok. i've tried command+w and that doesn't work either. I have also tried to force quit safari but when I open up safari again, it re-opens the tab. i got my macbook in january of this year, i really don't want it to get a virus lol.
