Why can I not download this every time it says that it is downloading I get a pop up after 2min that says that it can not be downloaded and it may have been interrupted or corrupted! Very frustrated with this lap top and more annoyed that I paid $30 for something that can not download!
I ordered OSX 10.7 (Lion) from the app store and pushed the download button. I see that it is trying to download over in the dock, but nothing happens. Even if I leave it downloading for 2 hours. I have a MacBook, currently running OSX 10.6.8.
I downloaded Lion and I was hoping that my Ipad 2 and Iphone 4 would sync with my Ical and photo's but it is not doing that. Is there a setting I need to adjust?
I am wanting to download the new software for my iMac when it comes out in the summer but I do not have the OSX Lion. So do I need to download OSX Lion before downloading Mountain Lion?
i went and opened the app store application on my mac pro. i saw the app for downloading Lion 10.7.3. at present i have Lion 10.7.2. so i figured, well, i already purchased Lion, so this upgrade should be free - and i clicked install. it asked for my apple id and password. i entered it - and it began to download Lion 10.7.3.Â
only then i saw the price tag on the side and thought to myself, "$&#%, what if i'm being charged for this?" so i went and did my "softward update" check. low and behold, waiting for me is 10.7.3.Â
so here's where i'm at. i have 10.7.3. downloading as an app (potentially i'm PAYING for it!), and i have it "paused" right now. i want to simply install 10.7.3 as an update, which i KNOW IS FREE. but i can't seem to delete the download that's paused right now (which I might be PAYING for).Â

I purchased Lion back in December but was hesitant about installing it. Now I have no choice but to install it because of the whole iCloud thing. I went into Applications on my Macbook, then to Purchased content, clicked "download," but nothing is happening. Everything on my laptop is current and up to date and ready for Lion. What should I do?
Everytime i click download to download a widget i am taken to the Apple downloads page. I have tried this with many different widgets with same outcome.
I purchased Lion and was able to download it on my laptop, but it is no longer listed under purchases on my desktop. How do I download it on my desktop without paying again?
I have several apps that I need updating. Unfortunately when I try to update them, I get the spinng wheel (Mac Appt Store menu bar) spinning forever! I tried changing my Apple password, tried the Certificate Revocation List to off, I deleted the apps and tried downloading them again and I still get the gray spinning wheel
I downloaded Dropbox and the Finder has crashed by blinking with the "restore windows"-window. Then I created another administrator account and from here deleted Dropbox. Then restarted and logged in to my normal account. Now Finder wasn't blinking like before but there is nothing viewable on the Desktop and when I click on Finder in the Dock several times it comes up with a window for a splitsecond then closes the window again. Then I can press it several times again and it comes up for a splitsecond and then closes again. When hitting the command-option-esc, the icon blinks here. I've actually also tried the killall Finder in terminal, but even this doesn't work.
I cannot download apps or updates on the Mac App store. Whenever I try to download apps or updates the page seems to be loading something but nothing really happens. I cannot even log out from my apple account on the app store.

I am having this strange issue all of a sudden, where the mail for all of may accounts are being downloaded to just one account and not the correct one it was address to. My junk mail is also being downloaded here. I just upgraded to lion.

I have noticed that when Mail is downloading my new email, and I look at the "Mail Activity" box in the lower right corner of the application, it seems to be downloading double the mail I am seeing. For instance, if I see 6 new emails, there will be a blue bar and the message "downloading X of 12 messages" as they come in. It doesn't seem to happen with my Mobileme account, just with my IMAP account from GoDaddy. Only the correct number of messages appear visible in my Inbox. I deal with large files on a regular basis, I really don't want my storage to double, and it just seems like something is wrong that should be fixed.Â

I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.7.4 from 10.7.3 recently. Around the same time (shortly afterward, anyway), I started having a new problem. As of a few days ago, one of my Gmail accounts has stopped downloading the Inbox. I can log into the Gmail web site with that Gmail account and it shows the latest mail, but it does not show up in Apple Mail. I have done these steps:Â
1. Get New Mail
2. Synchronize account
3. Disable and re-enable the account in Preferences
4. Checked the account shows up in the Activity window when I do these things
5. Quit and restarted mail
6. Took the account offline and online
7. Checked Connection Doctor
8. One other thing I can't remember what it's called, but it opens another window with a selector for all the accounts at the top and lets you look at various things
9. I can send mail successfully with that Gmail accountÂ
All my other Gmail accounts (3-4 others) seem to be working fine, but of course the one that's broken is the one I use most often. The mail is showing up fine on my iPad and iPhone as well, so it's just Apple Mail that is "messing up."Â

why has lion stopped downloading and says an error has occurred?i rebooted my mac and the lion disappeared from the dock and now it says in the app store an error has occurred.. but does not fix it..
I have a user with a new 13" MacBook Pro, which got rather misconfiguration during intial setup. We thought it might be easiest to erase and start afresh, so I booted into the Lion recovery partition. Firstly, tried to customise the Lion installation as per previous versions, but the 'Customise' choice is greyed out. Ok, no Erase and Reinstall option then. In Disk Utility, I erased the partition, and renamed it something sensible (UserHD).  Back to the install, all proceeded correctly until it tried downloading files from Apple. At this point, the progress bar moved slowly across, until it reached the end and I was presented with an error message along the lines that it failed to download additional components from Apple. Â
I have tried this four times, with various combinations of Wifi, and wired ethernet connections, all with the same result.Booting into Internet Recovery mode (Cmd-Opt-R) also fails:Â after an initial moving glode icon, and a small amount of the progress bar, I get the exlcamation mark icon, apple.com/support and error code -2105FÂ The laptop is now unuseable, because we can't restore it. Â
1: Can I tell it NOT to go to the internet first? Every other OS Installer lets you install first, and then go off to download additional components.
2: I note in the Installer logs that it thinks it's about 8 hours behind local time. Is this a problem (perhaps with SSL cert verification?)
3: Does the download happen over non-standard ports? (eg. something that may be being blocked by our firewall?)Â
I don't believe that I have a virus but want to make sure of this on my desktop and laptop. How do I know if I'm running Java. I was going to download Malware removal tool but didn't want to do it if unnecessary.
Since I planned to upgrade the stock disk on my macbook pro I created a USB stick backup of the Lion OS using Lion recovery disk assistant. It built a bootable copy of my Lion OS. I replaced the drive, booted from the USB stick Lion, formatted the new drive with disk utility with one OSX partition, and bunch of Linux partitions for the planned dual/triple/etc. boot. I then used the recovery disk menu to reinstall OSX on the new disk. It took off and started the download just like while booting with R key or from the recovery partition AGAIN!. This is a 2 hour proposition and is totally ridiculous. I need to be able to reinstall without downloading Lion every time. how to stop this new Apple invention from doing this download?
Whilst I realise that these games are for the PC, I have just switched to a Mac and would like to continue playing these games. Is there any way of getting my Mac to be able to do this?
An error occurred while downloading the app os x lion. Now when I go back to purchased apps and try to download, it just says "an error has occurred" and the download button is gray (not active). How can I reset it so it will download?
