May 14, 2012Downloaded free copy of McAfee Anti-Virus software for government employees personal computer. The software upload wizard does not engage; disk in drive not recognized. I simply wish to load ant-virus software onto my new MacBook Pro that was downloaded from a government site. Suggestions to accomplish this task?

MacBook :: How To Copy Old Library Files To Current Library Folder
Sep 8, 2014I have manually backed up all my files under User folder without using any of system backup tool(due to technical issue, i have no other option rather than copying manually). I have erased all hard disk and would like to copy everything back to Macintosh. Then the problem is when I tried to copy old Library folder to Macintosh HD user folder, it is saying I need to input password to continue, then I entered password and it still says i don't have permission.

Oct 19, 2009Hopefully someone will have the answer as I have searched high and low on this one. I have moved ALL my iTunes content (music, videos etc) to the Shared Music folder on my new WD MyBook World Edition 2 (just in case that's relevant info) and everytime my Mac attempts to load iTunes I have to repeatedly direct it to the library.xml file in the Shared Music folder.Surely there's a proper solution for this? Anyone else out there had this experience and has figured it out.I've noticed that it does this only the first time I open iTunes up, any subsequent bootup within a session is fine, but any restart of my Macbook Pro and I have to repeat this.

Sep 1, 2009I have experienced a problem after I updated to SL last night.I made a fresh install of both SL and iLife 09 on my mbp unibody late 2008.
Afterwards, I replaced the my fresh iphoto library simply with my old iphoto 09library from time machine (no migration tool, only copy pasts).
But now I recognized a problem that I see no iphoto library in my Desktop and Screensaver Menu in control panel. I cant set iphoto library photos as screensaver cause I cant see them
Does anyone have a solution for it? or does anybody face the same issue?

May 2, 2010Just got a new Macbook Pro and I want to transfer my I tunes playlist (songs, albums and podcasts to the new computer and then I will sync my ipod to the new computer. None of the music is bought or downloaded I simply copied from Cd's I own. The podcast are free downloaded one. I have tried dragging the library to a flash drive and uploading it on the new Macbook and all I get are the playlist folders not the contents. I have tried the share feature through Mobile me and that does not work either. I can always make it the topic of my "one to one" training this week but this is the last item in moving everything from the old Macbook pro so I can give it to our Daughter. Migration assistant did not seem to work either.

I need to sell this computer before I get the new one so I won't be able to put a cable between them. If I just copy across the music folder in my iTunes media directory, will this be enough? I have lots of album booklets and iTunes LP stuff that I want across as well. The other option is of course the DVD backup system through iTunes.
