I have a Macbook Pro 2.7 GHz i7 that I purchased last Summer and I want to wirelessly connect it to my TV via Apple TV. I'm running the lastest OS X 10.7.3 I watched a couple youtube videos and those people had an icon next to the wifi signal that allowed them to choose "apple tv." I don't have that icon

I have an old Blackberry which is horrible to type on and has an incredible battery life of 5 hours. So, I was wondering if there was some sort of way that I could connect the Blackberry to my Mac/iPod and text using Apple hardware, but transmit through the Blackberry. I don't have enough money to pay for the $100/month iPhone fee, so don't ask. If there is any App/widget/program for Mac or iPod which will allow me to do this, please recommend it to me. And it doesn't matter whether it is paid or free.
Howdy all. I just inherited my first Mac, a 500 MHz dual boot ibook. I have put a legal (from a friend who no longer has it installed) copy of OSX 10.4 on it, but when I try to send the registration it says Apple is busy/or I couldn't connect to the internet. I am connected via a LAN and can browse and the like. I try to register by connecting via a modem and it connects, talks with Apple, thinks, and then says Apples is busy/or I couldn't connect to the internet. Am I doing something wrong? The machine is working fine, but I think I can't get updates until I register?
I already have a Apple Thunderbolt display hooked up to the Thunderbolt port of my MBP Retina. Can I hook up a Dual DVI-D display with 2650X1600 to my MBP in addition? To second Thunderbolt port with Apple DVI adapter or other?
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

First off, I am sure to be VERY computer challenged compared to most of you. I apologize for that in advance. Here is the problem. We have been a PC based family for years and years. We just started to go Mac. My son got an iMac and my wife an iTouch. We have a wireless internet network in the house. The wireless is set up w/ Lynksis (I don't know if that makes a difference for my question.) I have connected to this network with more than one computer and more than one laptop. I have never had a problem. My son's iMac (airport) picks up the network and seems to be connected but can't do any more. It cannot connect to the internet. My wife's iTouch is the same. Our PC based computer and laptop will connect though. My son's iMac DOES, however, occasionally connect to the internet using the neighbors VERY weak signal. My wife's iTouch will connect on other networks (i.e. Panera Bread's) so I kno that works as well.
I've worked on Macs for 25 years and have never worked on a PC. My office network is all Macs running Apple OS-X Server 10.4.11. I have a Windows XP machine I want to hook up, really for now only to go online to access an Internet-Explorer-only online course. The PC seems to acknowledge the connection but that's as far as I can get. Could someone guide me through this?
i can't connect from my iMac via airplay with the apple tv3. It shows the icon and option in iTunes but it won't connect. airplay works great via iphone and ipad with apple tv 3 and airport express. it just won't wordk from imac to apple tv3.
Info: iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.4), apple tv 3
I am aware that Sony (PS3) encodes their signal with "HDCP" and the older cinema displays are not able to read that as a direct signal into the monitor (the new ones are, but thats not what I have. I bought mine with my PowerMac G5 days before they switched to the Intel based Mac Pro's). My question to all of you is is there any kind of converter box or unit I can purchase that would let my 20" ACD display a picture encoded with Sony's "HDCP" signal?
My friend's laptop just broke completely beyond repair (trust me this cannot be fixed without sending it out to hp, who wont fix it either). But any way, his mom and him have come to the conclusion that they are done with PC's, and are making the smart move, and going to Mac. Now, they cant afford an iMac, or a Macbook, so I suggested a Mac Mini. They only have a Samsung monitor for their HP, but I just want to know if a Mac Mini can connect to a Non-Apple Display. Yes I know they need adapters which I will help pick out for them when they go to buy it. I think I have heard it can connect to Non-Apple Displays, but I'm not 100% sure.
I am trying to connect to an iMac G5 running 10.4.11 from a MacBook but when i click observe or try to do anything to it, it says would you like to ask permission to observe??and in the main window it says the computer is at the login window when it is logged in. Yes the password is correct.
Also i have another question, shortly i am going to purchase another MacBook but am i able to control multiple accounts on that without a server or knowing the password of each user?
I want to connect 2 HDTV's to an Apple iMac to extend the desktop, I have a mini DVI to HDMI cable but wanted to know if I the set up will work with 2 TV's if I buy a HDMI splitter and have two cables that run to each TV.
