My new case mate suite, mine has a slight broken bit, but with he cost of sending it back being more then the item it self. It is not worth the cost,for an exchange so I will just keep it.

As I have stated around for my forum posts, I'm going to be working on my cousin's laptop
She has an iBook g3, 10.3 Panther, 500mhz, 128MB RAM, 10 or 20 GB hard drive...
She really wants to use AIM on her laptop. My question for this is, has AOL come out with a download that supports Panther for IMing? I downloaded the latest release of their beta release for AIM for Mac, until I noticed it was for 10.4.9 or later.
Or... is iChat a better to use with Panther?
And now my next question is... she needs an office suite. Is there an iWork version that will work with Panther... or a Microsoft Office Suite for Panther? Or does [URL] have their suite for Macs too... I looked on their website and they do have a version... but I wasn't sure if it was compatible with her laptop.
I have tried finding disks to stick Tiger on her laptop... but I can't seem to find anything. Another bad thing about it is that she had no restore disks come with the laptop when she bought it off eBay... so if I did something and something gets stuck... I wouldn't be able to revert back.

Iv'e just installed Adobe CS4 Master Suite which installed fine. Then I entered a serial number followed by running a special script...
As soon as i installed the adobe updater kicked in saying there were rucks of updates, the big question is, can I update the apps, or will it mess the whole suite up?
Recommendations? Something designed for the 11" not a generic one-fit-all case?

I've been using this case from Brenthaven. It's only $25 and fits the 11" MBA, protects it very well, has a shoulder strap as an extra option and has an outside pocket for charger, etc.

They now list it for an iPad but when I bought it it was under 11" PC cases. I guess they thought it would sell better listed as an iPad case rather than a netbook case. It uses their CORE system, so you could dsrop this from five feet without damaging your MBA. Good value for only $25.

they seem to be available on Amazon, there is even the occasional mention of it on here from a few months back, but there are no reviews anywhere! Have they only just been released? All I have seen is the picture of the supposed sag by the optical drive. Not good.
I am about to get a new 13" MBP. I cannot decide between a Timbuk2 messenger bag, a Crumpler messenger bag or either a Booq backpack or Booq Nerve case. I have my old HD from my Dell POS E510. The drive is a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 (SATA). THe problem is that it doesn't fit in the two hard drive cases I currently have, so I need to buy a new one.
There are several hookup configurations it seems for SATA Power/Signal and Jumper Block. How do I know which one to buy? Is there a site that matches serials numbers with case models?
I was wanting to know how hard it is to change top and bottom case and keyboard area? I would like to know that if anything was to happen to my soon to have macbook I could change it. Also this on the older macbooks. And if I have Apple to change it how much would it cost? And yes I know that they should replace keyboard case area for free because of the defunct cracking issue.

This link is a link to folder on a windows network.Its one of those tasks that I have made a little quicker by making a template in mail.app. However I have to go in and amend that link each week so that it points to the right location. This is tedious still and as a result human mistakes can still be made.This is my process at the momentIn mail app I select a templates Then I select send again or use the keyboard short the subject then needs to be amended and I replace the XX with the week number.then I select the link ctrl click and select edit linkAgain both of the XX get replaced with the week number.once complete I then hit send.Then move onto the next brand.The first option would be week number then this is slightly more involved but some kind of selection box to select which brands to recieve the email? I've looked up a number of scripts and link/html mail seams to be very awkward. Hopefully I have covered everything that needs to be listed Matt

But as you can probably guess already, it really sucks When i have more than 10 or 12 tracks playing, the system starts hoggin a bit which is not very handy when trying to record stuff right.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on restoring a Time Machine backup from Leopard to a clean installation of Snow Leopard. The only problem I'm facing is that the Leopard backup is on a case-sensitive drive (and the Snow Leopard drive is set up, by default, as case-ignorant).
I have scoured the Web the last two days and have not found a definitive answer to my question: Is there a way to transfer the data from the Time Machine backup on the case-sensitive drive to the case-ignorant Snow Leopard drive?
Yesterday I ran across a tutorial explaining how this might be accomplished using SuperDuper! but a commenter explained that Disk Utility could be used and was much easier.
I tried the Disk Utility method but it didn't work, and I ran out of time to give the SuperDuper! option a try. Does anyone know if it, or even Carbon Copy Cloner, might solve my problem?

Are there any improvements using the 9600 over the 9400 when using photoshop or illustrator? I always use the 9400 on my mbp, with the 9600 the fans start to spin really soon, it's so annoying trying to focus on your work with this thing blowing like an airbus.
