I was trying to open spottify and the rainbow wheel began to turn, then it stpped and every stood still, Finder open aswell and I can't turn it off. I don't want to leave it on all night, until I call Apple Care tomorrow, since here in Switzerland it's almost midnight. How to shortcut the system to turn it off?
Every time I connect my iPhone 5s and download photos/videos from it via iPhoto, a "Blocked Plug-in" black window pops up that I'm not able to get rid of until I shut down my computer. I have installed the latest version of Adobe Flash but that hasn't solved the problem. I'm on a MacBook Pro using OS X version 10.9.4.
I have a problem with my macbook. I was writing on neoffice and suddenly, maybe after a manipulation, my keyboard did not answer anymore. And the mouse is blocked. Each time a click, a window appears as if I clicked with the button shift. I restarted my computer without success. I also went to System Preference - Keyboard and Mouse.
I have a rather weird problem with my MacBook Pro Retina late 2012. You see, I can connect to Wi-Fi. However, I can't surf the web on Safari or Mozilla. It's like the internet is blocked.

I'm using MacBook Pro 13 inch (middle 2012 release), Operating System: OSX Yosemite 10.10.1

Screen sharing cannot be turned off or blocked because it says that the "Remote Management service" is using it. I have no other computers in my home. how can i block it?

But I can turn it off, if I choose "Share my internet connection for other units". (I don't know, if this is the right text in english, because my OSX is in german)
2) Now Bluetooth is OFF:
But I can't turn it on, because the checkbox "ON" is inactive.
It turns only on, if I choose "New Unit"(?). Then there is a new window, that says, that this is only possible if Bluetooth turns on. If I say OK, bluetooth turns ON.
Back to 1)
What's the problem. Why is this f* checkbox for turning bluetooth on and off inactive?
This is not a hardware problem, because I can have stable bluetooth connections.
I did a smc and am pram reset. But it doesn't help.
Using Tiger (10.4.11) & Apple Mail. My home server suggested Port 587, but no help there from that. Diagnostics suggested changing to different server address, also no help. This problem happens whenever I travel away from home & do not use my home server.
My son has an iBookG4. Sophus has detected 7 viruses. I'd name them but we're unable to access further info because (presumably) the viruses have blocked his access to the web.
I'm going to be upgrading to a Mac Mini within the next couple of months (from a knackered Windows PC), mainly to use as a media centre, and i am going to be backing up alot of my DVD's to use and play on the Mini itself. I have downloaded the Windows version of Handbrake this morning just to see how good it is and to get a feel for it properly before i start using it on a regular basis on my new Mac Mini. However, when trying to rip a DVD, i get a message saying "File not Found" and then a message about the copyright or something? This happens after scanning the DVD (Snatch, to be specific) and it won't let me rip the DVD.. it's as if it either doesn't recognise it or is being blocked by the copyright on the DVD.
Until the recent large update (149 mgb) to iTunes I was able to pair my LG phone to my wife's iMac and transfer mp3 files either way using Bluetooth. Now when I pair the phone and go to Browse Device on the iMac it lists all of my phone memory files but will only open the the SDPicture file. When I click on the SDMusic file it says operation failed. Is this just Apple protecting their rice bowl with regard to music sales or is it a glitch in the software?
For no apparent reason any video I try to watch is blocked out by green blocks. This happens in all my web browsers (5 of them) and on ll sites I have so far tried. Can anyone please suggest a cause. Not had this before. Have since rebuilt directories with Disk Warrior but still have problem.
I'm trying to help a friend. She has a Mac desktop (tower, not an iMac); a G4 running 10.5.8. When we try to download and install any apps (she needed Skype but I also tested Wunderlist), the .dmg opens a disk image okay, but the app itself has a forbid line through it. I copy it over to applications, but when I try to start it, I get the message (her system is in French) to the effect that the "application was not incorporated into the architecture of the system" (my translation). I checked all the settings on her account and she doesn't seem to have any parameters blocking her (like parental controls) from downloading or installing. She doesn't have any antivirus stuff running, as far as I can tell from her login items. I created an account for myself, with administrator privileges, then shut down and logged myself in. The same thing happened to me: not able to install any software. Back in her account, I ran disk utilities to fix permissions, and I updated all her software.
In Motion 5, I'll be working and everything will look fine, and then I'll export the project to find some of the text looks like this: [URL] .....
It seems to happen completely randomly, and sometimes I can go back and retype it and that'll fix it, but a lot of the time it doesn't fix the problem.
A few days ago I installed a legit version of Little Snitch on my iMac. The program and the internet worked fine but the pop ups were just too annoying. I uninstalled Little Snitch using the uninstaller that came with the program, restarted my computer and then my internet was crippled. I could access the internet through Firefox and safari but all other programs were unable to access the internet, including a shell script that I embeded on my Desktop and Azures. After trying everything I could think of, including restarting and looking for /System/Library/Extensions/LittleSnitch.kext I re-installed Little Snitch and all my programs work fine. Any way to get rid of Little Snitch while keeping my internet working?
So like an idiot I decided to give Peerguardian another chance after a two year split from it. I junked it last time because Hotmail and MSN messenger, along with Windows Updates were among the things blocked which made it useless to me. I assumed with the time passed they would have addressed this somehow by creating a way for allow lists to be easily created but they didnt. Anyway now for the issue. I completely uninstalled PeerGuardian from both my Mac's Windows partition and other PC downstairs, however the sites are still being blocked. No PG related services running in the background, and everything uninstalled seemingly the way it should have.
I have Windows Vista Ultimate installed on my MacBook. For some reason, everything keeps freezing and the mouse pointer remain unresponsive for a few seconds. This happens again and again while I am using Windows and it's very annoying. Sometimes I have to press to power button for 5 seconds to restart the computer otherwise it remains completely blocked.
I've had Adium since I got my first mac (since Windows Messenger doesn't work properly). Lately I've been getting messages from my contacts that I'm spamming them with messages like this: "I just found the coolest site, free and full of the best movies to watch [URL] Why is this happening? I'm pretty sure I don't have virus on my mac, is it something with the Adium/MSN? How do I remove it? A few months ago I also got a lot of friend requests from totally strangers (with really weird email addresses), does it have something to do with this? I never accepted any of them, I blocked all of them.
We're unable to open a remote connection to a intel Xserve (Late 2006) using the ipmitool (ipmitool -H ipaddress -U admin -P chassis status) or Apple Server Monitor. As soon as we're trying to connect the lom IP address is unreachable for around 10-15 minutes. The server is running in colocation. The bizarre thing is that another Xserve with some configuration is just running fine. I've also reset LOM to its factory settings and double checked the password.
Why can I still get Google cookies even when when I have "Always block cookies" checked? I can close Safair, then reopen it without even entering any site and Google will stick their *#@*&@ cookies and cache files in my Website data file?
The "tons" of cache files that I don't even go to the site keep cluttering up the website data file also.
If I don't shut down Safari before unchecking "always" and returning to "from 3rd parties" sites that were visited will have their cookies appear, even though don't have that site page open.
The iOS Safari seems to be better at preventing cookies and cache files from accumulating.

All of sudden OpenDNS started blocking certain sites. I never signed up with them.I live alone so no one could have done it for me.I cleared cache, reset safari, added DNS servers 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220I even joined OpenDNS and found to I had no preferences.
I thought I was updating my software yesterday on the iMac , but instead I'm now getting loads of tabs opening for random sites. Pop ups are blocked and i tried resetting safari. I've also tried to reset in time machine to an earlier date.
