Ok, let's come to my question. When I open Security & Privacy from Finder --> System Preferences.
Suddenly it appears like this (ie., Please Refer Figure 1), after within a few seconds its switch to my default Security & Privacy (ie., Please Refer Figure 2)
My Question : I'm in safe? i felt like someone hacked my Mac ? Or My MacBook affected by malware or virus?

Applications :: Internet Connection Blocked By Little Snitch
Mar 30, 2009A few days ago I installed a legit version of Little Snitch on my iMac. The program and the internet worked fine but the pop ups were just too annoying. I uninstalled Little Snitch using the uninstaller that came with the program, restarted my computer and then my internet was crippled. I could access the internet through Firefox and safari but all other programs were unable to access the internet, including a shell script that I embeded on my Desktop and Azures. After trying everything I could think of, including restarting and looking for /System/Library/Extensions/LittleSnitch.kext I re-installed Little Snitch and all my programs work fine. Any way to get rid of Little Snitch while keeping my internet working?

May 7, 2009Is there a way to prevent a single application from ever connecting to the internet? I have a program that always tries to update itself on startup, but the update breaks it. The preference to never check for updates isn't saved between each quit, and if it detects an update it will start downloading automatically, without my consent.
I've tried using the Security section in SysPrefs to block incoming connections, but that just leaves it stuck at 0% downloaded, instead of stopping the entire process. I'm stuck with disabling Airport, starting the application and getting past the main menu and then re-enabling Airport, which is starting to become a pain. I'll use Little Snitch if necessary, but I only need to block the one application. If there's some kind of Terminal command or .plist file I could edit instead of spending $30 on Little Snitch, I'd like to take that route.
MacBook Pro :: Get An Error Popping Up When Using An Application
Jul 4, 2012I Get an error popping up when i am using an Application. Its seems like something is blocking the application or requesting some sort of permissions. Seems to happen when i am running an application that requires the internet.
I attached a capture of the error. The details change depending on which application i am in. It started happening after i downloaded Little Snitch.

OS X Yosemite :: Error / System Has Run Out Of Application Memory
Dec 3, 2014My MacBook air keeps slowing down and giving me the error message "Your system has run out of application memory". I end up having to force quit all applications and reboot, which fixes the problem for 10 - 15 minutes and then it starts over again.
I am on the road for work and won't be able to get to an Apple store until next week, but this is creating a gigantic headache for me. I found a bunch of threads on this same topic for Snow Leapord, but nothing pertaining to Yosemite.

Sep 5, 2014I brought a 13" Macbook air late 2013 model in December last year. It has 4GB Ram and a 120GB Storage.I have a 160GB portable hard-drive which I store all my files on (Music, pictures etc) so this leads me to this question. Why do I keep getting the error message "Run out of application memory".That message pops up when I use Chrome (Only program running!!!!!!!!!! other than Finder) even if I have one page open??
It's also popped up before when no programs are running and causes the MacBook to freeze up resulting in me having to turn it off via the power button. I have run Disk utility and there appears to be no issues? I Googled the error message and all it brought was up people having problems with the calendar application which I do not use nor is it running?

OS X :: Unable To Connect To Internet / Settings Changed By Another Application
Mar 15, 2010I am connected to the internet via a belkin N+ router..... this is in turn connected to an adsl modem...I am having no problems with the signal to the router but at least four times a day my internet disappears....
When I run Network Diagnostics hey presto, your internet is working fine....The only things I have changed recently was that as I am running osx 10.4.11 I was having that issue where you couldn't access Network in sys pref, it kept saying "your settings have been changed by another application", I found a solution on here whereby you delete the plist prefs and rebuild them... That worked a charm but now I'm wondering is this connected in some way....

I got software from the makers of the belkin N+ wireless usb dongle chip that came with my router (belkin don't provide osx support but said that I could get a utility from the chip makers) I installed this but it never worked so uninstalled it, and ran disk utility and safe boot and pram and fsck (everything I could think of)
I only have one location in network, and airport is the only active network port
any ideas...????

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Network Fine- But No Application Can Connect To Internet
Apr 17, 2012My boyfriend is using a 2 week old MacBook Pro on OS X Lion (10.7.3).
He came in from work and was using it on the internet with no problems, it had spent the whole day downloading a patch for WOW from Blizzard... However, suddenly, he asked Safari to open a new page and BAM! Safari cannot connect to the server. It cannot connect to any website, iTunes store cannot connect, Blizzard updater keeps complaining that it has lost the internet connection, so it's not just a Safari issue.
We've checked the network connections and everything is fine, Network Diagnostics says there is nothing wrong. We've reset Safari, rebooted the Mac, rebooted the AirPort, deleted the network connection and added it again... no joy. Also we've plugged the Mac into an ethernet cable and it is still the same, so not an AirPort issue either. I'm using a MacBook on the same network, so it's not the network.
I think it's something wrong in his network settings

Aug 31, 2014Using 10.9.4 on imac 2.66Ghz i5 .I am looking for live radio streams off the internet and many times safari or quicktime will try to open the stream. .wmp , .asf , .mp3, .aac+
is there away to associate the extension with specific applications to try and utilize the stream such as itunes, winamp, real player, or vlm? This would not be the same as the process for opening files using the Open With since this is off the web page. Used to be a simple task in the past. Doesn't seem that itunes supports drag and drop feature.

MacBook Pro :: Unable To Open Any Application Or Program That Requires Internet
Mar 22, 2012My MacBook Pro will not open any app or program that requires Internet, even though I am connected to the web. I recently installed Norton AntiVirus and think it may have changed a setting that I couldn't find. I uninstalled Norton and it didn't help. Every time I open Safari, iTunes or any other program that tries to connect to the Internet, it crashes. Strangely enough, Skype still works, but nothing else. I have OSx 10.6.8. I have tried erasing plists, and all the standard troubleshooting, ie resetting modem, restarting computer, reloading Safari from disk.

OS X :: Using Mac Internet Sharing To Xbox (NAT Error)?
Aug 7, 2009I have my xbox 360 connected to my macbook through ethernet. On my mac i have internet connection sharing enabled from airport to ethernet. Everything works fine apart from the xbox saying I have a strict NAT.
I made sure the ports were all configured to work with my router, and UPnP is defiantly enabled on my router. I even tested to see if it was something to do with my firewalls, but even with them turned off, I still get this NAT error
OS X :: Wireless Internet Error - Connection Time Out
Jul 11, 2010Basically I've tried googling this problem ever since I first received my mac. Found threads, found solutions but none of them worked for me. What I'm running:

The setup:
I'll try to explain as much as possible.
#1 ISP: Telia
#2 I have a Netgear "box" which is basically for extra internet cords to be plugged into.
#3 This box, is plugged into another Netgear box (for internet cords as well) which is connected to our Modem, which is Zyxel. (Sorry, I don't have the exact models off the top of my head. If they are needed, yell at me and I'll find out the exact models.)
Quick Information about the problem: It's only the wireless that doesn't work. Well, some times. At first it worked, then it didn't (for just a few hours) then it did for a day. Then it didn't for and you get it. But it hasn't worked for months now. The actual problem: Connection Time Out. I enter the password and it 'loads' for a bit, and then gives me this error. [URL]
Software :: Mac OS 9.2 Connecting To Internet - Network Error Occurred
Jan 23, 2010I recently bought a used apple ibook with the Mac OS 9.2 operating system on it. So far it seems to be working pretty well. It has an ethernet port, and I have AT&T Uverse at home. So I decided I wanted to get on the internet, so I plugged the ethernet cord into the port, and called AT&T to help me through the "internet setup assistant" So we went through the whole process, then I went onto Sherlock 2 and tried to access the internet, and the error message: "A network error has occurred. Check your internet connections and settings, then try again." which is exactly what it says when it is not hooked into the internet at all.
The guy at AT&T basically said that they were not familiar with the operating system that I am on, and transferred me to tech support that wanted to charge me $175 to help me get connected to the internet. It seemed to me that AT&T just didn't know what they were doing at all, and they could get a replica screen to mine so they didn't know what to tell me. The asked me if there was any way to test the internet connection and I didn't know b/c I am accustomed to windows vista. Does anyone know if I am supposed to do anything else or how to test the connection?

Applications :: IPhoto Places Not Connected To Internet - Shows Error
Jan 27, 2009I saw this mentioned in a few other threads, but I thought perhaps it deserved its own thread. Anyone else having this problem?No matter what I do, iPhoto is convinced that I'm not connected to the Internet and refuses to do anything with Places. I recall telling iPhoto to feel free submitting my information to the net when I first ran it, but now I can't find any related settings in Preferences. Not sure what to do.

Jan 5, 2010Switched my Mac Mini (first rev PPC 2005 model) yesterday morning to find that the internal drive had vanished, seemingly. It was not mounted on the desktop(I boot from an external Lacie firewire drive as a rule. Went into Disk Utility and attempted to initialise the drive. Failed with and 'Input/Output' error.
Rebooted into open firmware as there was a DVD in the drive which I could not eject, was unable to eject the DVD using the Open Firmware command for doing so.
Began to assume the drive was completely Kaput and maybe also the DVD/CD drive as this had been acting up of late. New Mac time... Switched all my equip off at the plug last night as I turned in for bed and switched everything back on this morning and as if by magic the internal drive was there and I was able to eject the 'stuck' DVD. I have run Disk Utility a number of times and the drive appears to be fine. Also downloaded a copy of 'Smart Reporter' which shows it as being fine.
