I had a Dell 1100 laser printer working on my iMac (G4 ball type) using a GIMP printer. I had to reset the queue and lost the driver. I can't remember which GIMP driver I used. Also, although I have loaded the latest GIMP s/w, I can't seem to get to them in Tiger 10.4.6.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI was having problems printing from my Canon LBP6000. Print jobs remained held in the queue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Mac CAPT Ve r340 driver from Canon's website, no improvement. The printer works fine with my Windows laptop. I found an option to remove all printers from the Print preferences section. I can't remember how I did this, but all printers were removed. I reinstalled the above driver, but now in the 'print & scan' - 'add printer' section, I have no printer options. And no idea how to get printer options.

I had to put a new hard drive in my Mac G4. I lost my print driver and can't find it. I use Asante Talk to connect to my Apple Laserwriter 4/600.

View 22 Replies View RelatedThe instructions for uninstalling the Hewlett Packard CP1518ni driver (CP1510 series) speak of an uninstaller in my applications folder (Mac OS 10.5), but there isn't any. I have installed the driver twice and in neither case was an uninstaller installed per the log. How do I completely uninstall the driver (short of looking at the log and manually removing all the bits)?

I recently accidently deleted an old printer, Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX Ink Jet Printer, in Mac OS X 10.5.8 on an old MacBook Pro (2008; 15"). I cannot figure out how to readd it manually without having the physical printer connected through its USB cable. Do I really need to have it connected to do this? I rarely use it and do not have access to it at the moment.

In the office where I work with my Mac there's a Canon copier/scanner model iR2318. Months ago I downloaded and installed the Lion compatible drivers required that worked fine. Yesterday (with no reason, no changes, nothing at all: just working) the printer started to refuse to print as it asked for a different paper format: A4 or Letter. Despite many attempts to specifically send print jobs in A4, which is the paper format loaded in the tray, the printer continued to refuse all prints.Today I ended up removing the printer from the list, as it became unnecessary, and I also liked to uninstall the printer driver as well, since Canon released a newer version.Currently, when trying to reinstall the printer, 2 drivers are displayed: UK and US. This lets me assume that those 2 drivers are still installed in my system: I wanted to remove both of them and start from scratch by reinstall the driver and he printer as the system was new. How can I remove the driver, so that Lion won't recognize it and that I could make a clean install of the previous working printer?

Just out of the blue, I can't print using my epson 600, a multi use printer that I have set up on my network.
The strange thing is my scaning driver is there and working, but my wireless printer is not there. I can see my Epson Printer, but its not the wireless driver, its the older driver for using the cable.
My Intel based Mac Desktop ceased communicating with my wireless printer. All hardware is plugged in, on and hooked up with router and modem correctly. I have the latest version of OS X Lion 10.7.4. I uninstalled the Lexmark printer driver and re downloaded the driver under Apple downloads. I used the wizard to successfully initialize it. When I look under system preferences/hardware/print & scan it says no printers available. What else do I need to do to add the printer?

That's the message I got when adding a new printer driver. The reference was system/library/extension/cnqe202-classicnotseize.kext. Or close to that. I think I got that message also when upgrading to 10.6.1. As I recall there was also a note about updating this extension but no info on how to do it. Searching for .kext brought up a long list from last August having to do with crash reports with skype, real player, fire fox and a couple more; but nothing permanent and everything is working fine. Anyone have any thoughts about this? I'm using an iMac, 20".
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to install the Canon MP520 printer to my MBP. The printer is connected to another a PC running windows and is shared. I installed the OSX driver provided on the Canon page, I can see the printer in the network printers but when I am asked to choose the driver I can't see the correct model listed. On the other hand, if I simply connect the same printer via USB, to my MBP it is recognized directly. When I'm asked to provide the driver while adding the printer via the network, there is also the option to browse to the driver location. So my question is, where are the can I find the right driver on the OS?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a Macbook and I've been trying to find drivers for my Lexmark X5150 all-in-one printer. I thought it was meant to be simple in leopard but my printer doesn't seem to be supported by default, like most printers are, so I looked on the Lexmark site but they only supply drivers up to Tiger, nothing for Leopard. Does anybody know if a driver exists for this printer and where I can find it, and if not, if there are any drivers that will work? I am not too worried about the all-in-one functionality, I just want to be able to print at least.

I've also looked on the Epson printer drivers to download and there doesn't seem to be any to support any OS later than 9?

Apple on Tuesday afternoon released Lexmark Printer Driver Update 1.1 [71MB] which includes the latest drivers for Lexmark printers. This update is also available via Software Update but will only be visible if the printer is connected to your computer or a print queue has been created for an earlier version.

So I restarted the computer but still won't turn on, no matter what I do. I'm not 100% sure if they are related but it's hard to believe they are not. I can remove all the Brother related stuff but I still need the printer driver.

I can't install a printer on my iMac. When I go through system prefs, add printer, it sees the printer and manages to make it to looking for installable options then that window just hangs. I can use the computer, but the window stays and it never actually installs the drivers, i'm using a wireless connection. The same thing happened before with a previous Epson printer connecting by USB. In the end I managed to connect it to my Macbook.

I can't find the yosemite driver for my new epson r3000 printer. I am using 10.10.1. The Epson website says to find the driver by going to the App store and looking for updates. I did that and didn't find any. In "Printers and Scanners" in System Preferences I notice that the computer is aware that I am connected to the printer (via USB) but a message at the bottom of the window says that "Software for this printer isn't available from Apple.
