View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Mac powerbook G4 15" powered by PCG4 (1.1). The operating system is OS X 10.3.9. The installed Acrobat reader is the 5.0 version which is outdated. Every time I try to download the appropriate version as stated by Adobe off of their website, it won't allow me to do it. The cursor points at the download, but clicking on it does nothing.

I keep getting an error that I do not have the correct application/program to do the install of Acrobat X Pro and suggests going to the app store to download such software/programs. The Adobe product/media is for MAC and Adobe confirms suppport for 10.7.3, however the media only contains a .pkg installer file not a .dmg installer file which I need for MAC. I have tried two different DVD media for the same software and this is the case with both.

I recently purchased and installed Adobe CS2. With Acrobat Professional comes a Safari plugin that automatically views PDFs in the browser. However, I much prefer the standard Tiger PDF viewer as Acrobat takes forever to load. I've looked everywhere and can't figure out how to disable this feature.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that the ability to send an email from outside Mail via one of the several applications that has the capability has disappeared. Whenever I try to send a message I get an error message from the app. For example in Filemaker I get "Some of the files that are needed are either damaged or have not been installed. run the installer to correct this problem." In Acrobat I get "The SendMail doesn't know how to talk to your default mail client. select a different mail application to use." In MS Word the menu selection is dimmed out. From Pages however it works fine.

However, I have now filled up my 80gb hard drive (mac mini) and want to move some files around. I have a large 1TB drive foe my mac (not a time machine a storage drive) and I was wondering if I could move the adobe applications from the application folder to a folder on the drive. I know on windows this would not be possible unless you uninstall and reinstall on the other drive. I have heard rumor that a application on a mac is the single e file in the application folder. Is moving the programs possible? Dose it depend on the programs I'm trying to move (cs4 master collection in my case)? If so is there any special "thing" I need to do?

-Sufficient storage for many digital photos (This would eliminate Picasa's free service)
-Compatible with OS Tiger 10.4x
-Easy organization such as thumbnail viewing (or comparable to iPhoto's "Events")
