Aug 25, 2010I was working on a clients machine yesterday and he has OS X 10.6.4. For some odd reason the network shares just randomly disappear, also Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 (and Reader) crash whenever I attempted to open them.

May 14, 2012I installed Acrobat 8 Pro and it keeps crashing after start. I've already tried deleting the plists in Preferences and installed the Updater Plugin w/Framework fix. Enclosed below are the Sys Config and Problem Details.

Every time I try to download the appropriate version as stated by Adobe off of their website, it won't allow me to do it. The cursor points at the download, but clicking on it does nothing.

I keep getting an error that I do not have the correct application/program to do the install of Acrobat X Pro and suggests going to the app store to download such software/programs. The Adobe product/media is for MAC and Adobe confirms suppport for 10.7.3, however the media only contains a .pkg installer file not a .dmg installer file which I need for MAC. I have tried two different DVD media for the same software and this is the case with both.

Feb 21, 2010I'm running OSX.4.11 on a Dual 500 G4. I've recently lost the ability to use Acrobat 7 Professional for some reason. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, running all updates as well. I've trashed preferences. I've tossed /Library files. It still won't launch. Distiller will launch but won't distill at all. It just processes then crashes. Seems to have begun when I installed Adobe Reader 9. I also have CS3 & 4 apps installed which run fine. I know the conflict lies somewhere in all that but don't know exactly where. I am able to generate PDFs from other apps like Quark but I need the editing abilities that Pro offers.

Apr 12, 2012I use Adobe CS4 regularly. I could print fine from all apps in CS4 until yesterday when I tried to print from InDesign CS4 and the app crashed. All other apps in CS4 print fine, as do all other apps. I've attempted to create a new print preset and also tried to edit the printer default, but InDesign crashes every time.
The only things I've done differently (or new) was to test a new antivirus app (Anti-Virus Software for Mac Protection | Kaspersky Lab United States) and also to download and try out the new Firefox 11. I also created a couple of pdf files in InDesign (as I've done dozens of times with no problems).

May 8, 2007This is driving me crazy. I've just downloaded and reinstalled the latest Adobe Reader. But Safari is still acting up. I see the watch icon instead of my mouse when I click on a link to a PDF. Then I just see a white screen and I end up having to force quit Safari.

Aug 6, 2010I shoot about 40 weddings per year. (2500-3000 images per week). I am currently working off a 2 x2.66 Dual Core MacPro with 11GB of memory. I use Aperture and a bit of Final Cut Pro.I need the MacPro for storage issues related to iTunes and photo libraries so I have ruled out an iMac. My question is, when will I cross the "overkill" line. I don't spend my days doing intensive 3D render outputs of math computations so I know a 12 core is "too much".
