After adjusting the paper size or fit to page in word or excel, the printing document often became blank even if it shows normally in preview.

How can I purge my print settings via .plist or other so I can change my paper size? No matter what I select, preview application 'refreshes' my print values to a fixed 8.5x11 that applies a second border to my pdf and pushes everything down the page. Borderless 8.5x11 just won't stay as the value even though my printer has done this before. Worked fine prior, but now it just will not take a new page size.

In Safari, I am no longer able to print web .pdf documents. The print screen pops up, however the preview document shows a blank page. I am able to print in Firefox, so this has to be a Safari problem. I have checked my Internet Plug In files and there is no Adobe plug in as suggested by others in similar questions. Turning on/off the computer has not helped either. Nor has Open PDF in Preview. I'm using an iMac with Lion and an HP Photosmart C4700 printer.

When I try to print any document from a web page, i get an empty page, only the header line at the top of the page. Y work with Safari (last version) but the same I have with Chrome. From other sources there is no problem. I have two HP printers, one laser BW and a color HP Deskjet D1663.

The website where I pay bills online has a hot link that says "print" and when I click on it, the printout is in a teeny tiny font.
The document that I print after paying each bill is the confirmation of the payment transaction. But it's almost too small to be read without a magnifying glass.
I can't find where or how to increase the font size of the printout. Firefox preferences doesn't include any sort of font size preference to choose from; and my printer application in Settings doesn't list font sizes to choose from or to set as my default size.
PageSetup allows me to choose a paper size, but not a font size.

Printing is a hassle from Autocad with my MAC OS. In WinXP, (prior to switching to MAC) I could assign a paper size to each printer in printer set up. Then when printing from AutoCAD I would just select the print I wanted for the paper size and done..... perfect!
However, in Mac with Parrallels AutoCAD does not really talk correctly through to the printers on the Mac side. So I have to go into Lion printer settings and change the paper size all the time between tabloid and US letter. I always forget and waste a lot of paper.
Looking for a way to set a Lion OS printer to a specific paper size and have it maintain that paper size while a different printer has a differenet paper size, but this doesn't seem possible.
Every time I change the paper size in the Lion OS for one printer it changes it for all printers.

I am working on a photobook for a family wedding. One photo shows the groom in full and wanted to place this photo in the book. View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently have a HP PSC 1210 all-in-one that I purchased in about 2003. I'm pretty torn as to what brand of printer I should purchase. One thing that has always bothered me with my current printer is that whenever I print on paper thicker than standard 20 lb paper, it either goes in crooked, prints off center, or jams. Since I mainly use my home printer to print mailing labels and envelopes. I would prefer a printer which you load the paper in the top and it goes straight through, instead of in the bottom which takes the paper up and around. I like the print quality of Lexmark printers, but I refuse to buy a printer which forces me to change the ink cartridges. Are all Lexmark, Canon, and Brother printers like that? It's the reason why I've always purchased HP. I'm not in need of an all-in-one printer either, or one with a fax machine as I have a stand alone scanner and if I ever need to fax anything I just do it from work.

when i print more the 2 pages after each page the printer take out 2 blank page and than stops (i have to press its bottom to make it pull the next paper)
if i don't press the bottom or sometime in a middle of the printing page i get an error "the process usb stopped unexpectedly with status 81"
after a while the printer stops and i have to make it start again
When I print out web documents on Safari, it only lets me do it in US Letter format, and I lose the top of the pages.
How can I change the print-out format to A4 (which works fine on the print menu for every other program I use)?

I have an HP C4480 All-In-One printer. Scanning works, but when I try to print, it gives me a "Paper Size Mismatch" error.
I have chosen different paper sizes (A4, etc), tried different OSes, and
tried different sized paper. Sometimes the printer works, but rarely.
This was not always the case. The printer is only about 6 months old with my macbook, and began having this problem 2 months ago. The ink is brand new, and there's paper.
The problem might be that the paper size sensor is dirty or broken, and I read somewhere that I can physicall disable/remove
this.. or maybe in the software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden out of nowhere, one, and only one PDF, will only print on 1/4 of a page. Everything else prints fine, other PDFs print to full pages, anything outside of Safari prints as it should--it's just this one PDF in Safari, it's driving me crazy. I've logged out, logged back in, restarted my MBP, even reset safari--and nothing at all. All printer settings/scaling are as they should be, and the preview shows a full page document, but what comes out of the printer is 1/4 page. Here's the PDF: It prints fine in FF, but for some reason it's coming out super light/blurry/grayscale/crappy, so it's no good.

I would start by choosing the pixs, editing them and sizing them to fit 1/4 of the sheet. Then I would create a blank white sheet, drag the 4 pixs over and position them on the blank sheet. I would then print that sheet. Can I do that using iPhoto?

The problem we have is with Microsoft Word 2004. In a multi-page document, Word only prints the last page, unless we specifically print out each individual page.
I found a thread that identified a problem printing to HP all-in-one printers. I followed the instructions in the thread and removed everything about HP printers from our Mac. I then re-installed the HP drivers from the MacOS 10.5 install disk.
I am trying to print a duplex copy on a HP CLJ 5550dn with Adobe InDesign CS4, I have recently upgraded from CS2 and had no problems with that in the past.
The problem I am having is that the duplex print only prints 3 quarters of the whole page either site. This is also happening on the one sided printouts too
When I save a Word 2004 file as a PDF, only the first page is saved/printed.
This is a 2 page document. adjusting the settings?
