Mac Mini :: Unable To Send Email To Accounts - "Connection And Login To Server Succeeded"

Why does my mac mini now refuses to send out email, to any of my accounts? It was working. Works on my power pc, works on my iPad. Works when I use my old eudora mail program. Just doesn't work on the mac mini using the Apple Mail program. The mail system error message says the the "sender address rejected by server.". Results of clicking on "connection doctor" in error message gives all "green" status on all addresses and smtp.west.cox.net. Status message says, "Connection and login to server succeeded". In summery. everything looks fine but still will not send out messages. I've tried restarting system. No luck. Tried taking accounts offline then online. Doesn't help. I've only concluded that the problem is in the Apple Mail program on the mac mini.

This may be purely coincidence but within the first 2-3 days of shifting over to outlook 2011, none of my emails sent to user@hotmail.com are going through. I get a system mail admin return e-mail saying unable to deliver for 4 hours. Basically saying hotmail.com is not responding. I have never had this problem on mac mail or outlook for the PC. Is this coincidence or does Outlook 2011 get the blame?

Have a MacBook Air using iPhoto 9.5.1 and operating system OS X 10.9.3.
I have tried to share photos with email using my Yahoo account. I receive the following message whenever I attempt to send a photo "username/password not recognized by email server."
I have gone into my accounts numerous times in System preferences. My username/password combo is recognized there. I have also changed my password on Yahoo and in my accounts. But I still receive the above message.

I have a Hotmail, Yahoo & iCloud account but NONE of them will send messages from my iMac or iPhone.
They receive well enough but just cannot send anything.
I have changed NO settings whatsoever on either device.

G4 MDD networked with Mini for approx. 3 years now via a LinkSys BEFSR41 wired router. Ethernet cables are CAT6's with gold-plated ends. Did an erase/install (+ updates) of Panther on G4. ISP is Comcast Cable. Just upgraded my Motorola modem from Surfboard 5100 to SB 5101 yesterday. My network settings are ok...file sharing is turned on...I can ping each 'puter from the other (showing my connection is good).
I have internet access (showing that the router is still good according to Cisco). Now, however, I can't even bring up the window on the G4 asking for my pw....all I get is connection failed, no response from the server. From the Mini, I get Unknown User, incorrect password or login is disabled. I haven't a clue what the problem can be. Everything I do daily depends upon the network connection.

I have a Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8) and i am trying to set up an account for someone who regularly logs onto my guest account. I am doing this so whenever they are here and need to use my computer, they can use it without using my account( the admin account) or guest account( where the have to log into guest account and work on whatever it is they needed to do, then unfortuanatly have to erase all files from that day so they can log out )
I still want it to be an account for that person to have when they are here, but NOT guest account. Just an additional account.

I am unable to send emails from one of my accounts. I receive an arror message that the e-mail address I am sending mail from is rejected by the server. I have my outgoing mail set to smtp.comcast.net. I am able to receive e-mails on this account.

We are a small company that just recently started using Lion Server for a few simple services. We've been pretty happy with it and are considering trying to host our email on it as well, as we've had a little trouble lately with our hosted email being rejected as spam (since they're shared services). It seems to work correctly in a controlled environment on test email accounts that I've created, but I'm having trouble figuring out if it's possible to allow smtp relaying from a device (cell phone, tablet, computer) outside of the local network when the sending from is a virtual address.
Basically, it seems "user@company1.com" can send from devices off the network and authentication allows them to. However, we have two sister companies that we need email for as well. I would like them to be able to send messages from "user@company2.com" or "user@sister3.com."
When I try to send from one of those test accounts on an iphone outside of the local network, it says "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipent "recipient@addressee.com" was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying." If I add the specific IP address of that device to my allowed relay list, the message sends with no problem. Obviously, I don't want wide ranges of IP addresses allowed to use the relay service. Is there no way to allow relaying from any IP address based on an authenticated user?

When trying to send an email on my mother's .mac account the following error appears. (Her account is biosophy@mac.com). - The message can't be sent because the server doesn't recognize "'biosophy@mac.com"-. I'm wondering if this is because there is an apostrophe after the first quotation mark. If so, how did it get there and how could it be removed?

I'm having such a hard time syncing Gmail with Apple Mail now that I've done a fresh install of SL. First of all, in Gmail Settings, the instructions for setting up Apple Mail are for Apple Mail 3.0. But the Apple Mail with SL is 4.0. The instructions say to "Check the box next to Automatically set up your account." Pic of what I'm talking about: But my Apple Mail does not have that check box: Once it's setup it says it's supposed to look like this: Notice that it's POP and not IMAP? And in mine, once it's "automatically setup" it's IMAP and not POP: When I leave the settings as is, and try to send and receive mail I keep getting an error that says something like "Can't send mail on outgoing mail server". And when I change the outgoing server to POP I get the same error. I've tried everything, I've setup and deleted this e-mail account from Apple Mail at least 4 times now and I keep getting the same error.

I cannot connect to the server [URL] to send email. The options for servers in the mail preferences shows this server as Offline. Cox requires use of this server.

I bought a new iMac 24" about a month ago. It runs Mac OS X Snow Leopard (all up to date). So I used Microsoft Messenger for Mac from the first day I bought it. Yesterday I installed Adium. So everything went well yesterday. When I went to sleep, I closed all apps from the background (Command + Q),And put the iMac on sleep.
Today I tried to use Adium and it won't log-in. It says sometimes "Retreiving buddy list" or some problems with the network (of the MSN). I tried to used Microsoft Messenger for Mac and it says something like "Service not responding or no network connection"..I HAVE FULL NETWORK CONNECTION (Plug-in straight to the router) I tried already reinstall everything, reset the router, reset the computer, Changing the port of Adium to 80 (I brought it back to default later)..I also installed OniX and clean the data with it, it still have this problem. I've done everything I can to solve it, but I still can't figure it out.

Since upgrading to os x v 10.7.3 and moving from mobileme to iCloud as instructed, I am unable to send emails from an Imac connected to an older imac operating on osx 10.4 via wi-fi. Emails form this older box are succesful.
On my newer imac with osxv10.7.3, The email stays in outbox and sent folders with the spinner spinning next to the sent folder.It displays mail activity and outgoing messages...but does not change its staus.I am unable still here 1 hour later waiting for it to go.I have tried instructions from websiteConnection doctor - all green lights

Starting this morning I have been unable to send any emails using my Apple Mail. Incoming emails are OK, and everything else on the computer (iMac - less than a year old). I have suddenly, since Friday 2 March, experienced very slow connection to one of my ISP's mailservers. Emails without attachments work ok'ish (a little "hesitantly"), emails with attachments of moderate sizes (eg. +/- 500 KB) download/upload extremely slowly and most of the time fail. I have asked my ISP, who are generally helpful, and they have tested the mailserver and can find nothing wrong. So, here we go: The problem is both for ethernet and wireless.The problem is for one account only. I have a different account with the same ISP, but on a different mailserver, which works absolutely fine.Two different Macs have the same problem. The other PCs with different ISP's accounts work fine.Router is working fine with good internet connection and email via one of the two accounts works fine.It is not a problem on my computer (since it is the same issue for two machines). Both run OSX 10.6.8I have tried both Entourage and Outlook on both machines; same problem everywhere - one account works, the other doesn't (properly).I have tried with my iPhone, using the same wireless connection and same account details, and it downloads emails with attachments speedily - emails that failed to download on the MBP/Outlook.I have tried one of the machines (a MacBook Pro) at home with a different wireless connection but to the same mailserver and it works fine there!This happened last Friday and no settings have been changed locally for months. My conclusion is (but may be wrong): The router is fineThe macs are fineThe email clients are fineGeneral connection to internet and mail is fineThe mailserver is probably fine But a connection between one mailserver account and the two macs has suddenly gone wrong. It is almost as if there is a setting on either the mailserver saying "I don't like that connection to that place, I will slow it down." or somewhere in this place saying "I don't like that account on that mailserver, I will slow it down." The question then is:Which network setting is so specific that it can be this selective?

I can receive email, but when I try to send one I get an error. When I run the connection doctor, the CONNECTION STATUS is "mail was able to connect to the Internet". In the lower box, it says Cablevision "connection and login to server succeeded".
Underneath the Cablevision message, it says mail.optonline.net. It then shows that it's continuously trying to connect to the server.

I'm suddenly unable to send an email. For no apparent reason, I now get the message:
"The SMTP server “smtp.me.com” rejected the password for user “jt0229” Enter your password again or cancel."
I don't even know what this password is. From what I can tell, it's not the same pw as for "me.com".
