I have a Hotmail, Yahoo & iCloud account but NONE of them will send messages from my iMac or iPhone.
They receive well enough but just cannot send anything.Â
I have changed NO settings whatsoever on either device. Â

I am working in an office that has numerous old email accounts on the computer from past temp employees that we keep so that I can reference their communications.  Since updating to Mavericks, when I add or delete accounts from Mail, the changes are restored when I restart mail or reboot the computer. How do I permenently delete or add a new account. I have done this serveral times on other computers, but this one isn't responding as it should. It was running Snow Leopard before the upgrade.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis may be purely coincidence but within the first 2-3 days of shifting over to outlook 2011, none of my emails sent to user@hotmail.com are going through. I get a system mail admin return e-mail saying unable to deliver for 4 hours. Basically saying hotmail.com is not responding. I have never had this problem on mac mail or outlook for the PC. Is this coincidence or does Outlook 2011 get the blame?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my mobile me email account but I also have 2 business email accounts that are linked to my Mac as well as my iPhone 4s. BUT the iCloud mobile me email is ok but my 2 business emails do not mirror at all. iPhone and Mac are completely separate.Â
I have tried deleting the business emails from my phone then in 'info' in iTunes when the phone is connected I have tried syncing email accounts as well as 'replace mail accounts' in the 'advanced' section.Â
When I do this it loads the messages from the accounts as unread emails. However on my mac each account has 27 emails in each account. When the phone syncs the accounts 1 email has 123 messages and the other 61.
Deleting messages from Mac or iPhone makes no difference in mirroring. Is there any way to get my 2 business accounts to mirror on both devices. As you can understand it is very frustrating having differing messages on both devices.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhy does my mac mini now refuses to send out email, to any of my accounts? It was working. Works on my power pc, works on my iPad. Works when I use my old eudora mail program. Just doesn't work on the mac mini using the Apple Mail program. The mail system error message says the the "sender address rejected by server.". Results of clicking on "connection doctor" in error message gives all "green" status on all addresses and smtp.west.cox.net. Status message says, "Connection and login to server succeeded". In summery. everything looks fine but still will not send out messages.  I've tried restarting system. No luck. Tried taking accounts offline then online. Doesn't help. I've only concluded that the problem is in the Apple Mail program on the mac mini.Â

Just purcahsed a new IMac. my e-mail is coming into mail fine, but how do I add my wife's account, and how do we switch back and forth from accounts.
Our older Mac is still up and working, we used Entourage for that, and I kind of would like to duplicate ithe process in Mail if possible. Still getting mail there too.

I have an icloud account which I use for personal use. We recently bought an ipad for the family and set up an icloud to be used for family viewing. I added to my mac the new account (lets call it it '[url]...') but it seems to be moving all the [url]... mail into my personal one on my mac. Since this is suppose to be family, I was hoping to have the email stay with the [url]... so both my husband I could monitor it. However, since my mac is merging it, it is deleted from ipad we share.
Is there anyone to set the mail preferences on my mac so the email stays with the [url]... account? I have tried all the preferences but not finding a way to keep the mail at [url]....

Can't send or receive e-mail on my iMac through Comcast for about 2 months now. Same problem with all users set up in the computer. Can connect ok to the internet, but can't access [url]..unless I reset Safari, then can only access once. Tried setting up new mail account, but get error message that it can't connect to server mail.comcast.net. Comcast blames it on last apple software update. I don't think that's the problem. Tried changing ports from 995 to 587 and 465 with no luck. Uncheck SSL box, no luck. Reset cable modem box, got incoming mail once, then no more. Outgoing mail still would not send.

I have Mac OS X Snow Leopard Version 10.6.8. Can't receive nor send email. I have two email addresses using ATT. One address works, the other doesn't. The bad address is behaving weirdly: In Mail, in the "On My Mac" folder labeled "Recovered Messages," the contents refer to one email sent with a PDF file (19.7 MB). This email keeps cloning itself, and I keep deleting them. I resorted to deleting the PDF file from my computer. No luck. I recently changed my email addresses from AOL addresses to ATT (powered by Yahoo) addresses, in case this has anything to do with it. Have shut down computer and modem twice with no luck. The Mail Activity window is wild with activity, none of which I understand.
