Mac Mini :: Lion Reinstall Locking Up

I have been trying to reinstall Lion OS without luck. First I tried through the app store, downloaded successfully, but then crashed what appeared to be about the end of the installation. It was at the point of installing the os on my hard drive when the black box style screen came up telling me to do a force reboot. Did the same thing and it locked up again. On a third try I used a Jump drive which had Lion os on it and the screen just sits at the "installing X" screen but its been hours and I can tell the Hard drive is not spinning and it almost sounds like the Mac is asleep.

I inadvertently deleted my OSX 10 Lion operating system on my Mac Mini -- tried redownloading it but continually received an automated response saying something like ".... unable to download the software, try again later"  That is not an exact quote but close. I tried several times to download the software but always received the same message. I did verify that WIFI was up and working properly on my separate laptop.

I am having lockup issues with my new Mini. I changed the RAM to 3gb and a SSD. boots fine but completely locks up after a period of use. Only way to cure it is to force reboot via power button. Anyone here has the same issue or know what I should do?

I am old now and I like to see my emails. So I finally found a way to enlarge the font in an email.
Trouble is, the very next email i want to write, the font is reverted to some microscopic cuneiform.
way to LOCK the font size selection I make so that each email I start opens with it?

cannot find how to get into mac utilities with a normal keyboard on my mac mini(mid 2011). i have many problems with it being very slow to start and programs have vanished.i have 8gb of ram so this should be perfect and i use it everyday.

Can I get the out of box experience without doing a complete reinstall? I know windows os's can do this with a command. Any ideas if SL server can do this? I don't need to save any setup info.

I had to reinstall Snow Leopard Server on my Mac Mini Server. I did it via a firewire connection to my MBP. Everything runs fine when I boot in target disk mode from my MBP. Problem is when I disconnect the MBP and boot just mini it gives me an error message that says I need to restart the computer. I have the two 500gb drives on the mini configured in a raid array.

I accidently deleted some file on my computer that wouldn't let me start up my MacBook pro, 13 Inch, so I had to press Command- R at start up (brought me to Lion Recovery) and I choose reinstall lion and I started it yesterday morning and all day and over night. It's barely half way through and it says "148 Hours Left" which is crazy.. Should I just wait? is this normal? what do I do?

My MacBookPro with Lion installed was stolen 2 months ago. I by accidant erased Lion from the 'installed' list in the app store. So i try to rebuy or reïnstall Lion on a MacBook with enough memory to run it, but in the appstore it keeps on saying 'you already bought Lion so this updat is free, push OK to download'.An update is useless without Lion itself on the laptop, but how can I reUinstall it via appstore? Or is there an other possibility?

I have purchased and downloaded iMovie from the Mac App store. However now I'm getting an error everytime it launches: Â The QuickTime components necessary to view, edit, import, and export several kinds of movies are not installed. These components are included with the iMovie installer; re-install.Â
I'm happy to reinstall iMovie- but I got it from the app store. When I visit the iMovie page on the app store, it says "installed" and gives me NO options to re-install. Seems pretty short-sighted on Apple's part.

I am planning on wiping my hard drive and reinstalling OSX in order to sell my MacBook Pro.I have install discs for Snow Leopard and am running Lion, but would like to be able to offer Lion to the buyer. I would like to have Lion on the computer (I dont have the disc) and then have it such that when the buyer turns the computer on, they go through all the setup screens as if they were buying the computer new for the first time. I have a Macbook Pro OSX Lion. Iphoto and garageband was preinstalled. When I will update it, there is a dialogue box that appears "We could not complete your purchase, product distribution file could not be verified." So I put it in the trash and went to appstore to reinstall again, but it won't. I don't have those two apps for now.

How do I reformat my HD and reinstall Mac OSX Lion? I somehow corrupted username.sparsebundle in FileVault and therefore can't log in. I need to reformat the HD and reinstall the latest OS. (I do not want to use FileVault going forward.)

Tried to reinstall op system on macbook pro (mid 2010) that came with snow leopard from a time machine backup and it didn't accept my password. I had upgraded to lion, guess that's part of the problem. So I reinstalled again without my time machine backup and can't figure out how to get lion back on, along with the rest of my time machine backup now that i'm back in snow leopard? Tried to use migration assistant but it said i didn't have the correct op. sys. to continue.
