OS X V10.7 Lion :: Reinstall App From App Store?

May 24, 2012

I have purchased and downloaded iMovie from the Mac App store. However now I'm getting an error everytime it launches:  The QuickTime components necessary to view, edit, import, and export several kinds of movies are not installed. These components are included with the iMovie installer; re-install.

I'm happy to reinstall iMovie- but I got it from the app store. When I visit the iMovie page on the app store, it says "installed" and gives me NO options to re-install. Seems pretty short-sighted on Apple's part.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Erase And Reinstall By The Apple Store?

Apr 16, 2012

Today I took my MacBook to the apple store for an erase and reinstall due to about 20gb of space was missing on my HD.  My latest backup was done the day before I went back to Apple to reinstall Lion.  After I restored my data from the backup, the address book app and the app store app are both missing.  My address book data is on iCloud so I'm not that concerned about the data but I would like to get the app back on my MacBook.

ICloud On Mac :: App Store Got Corrupted - How To Reinstall Without Disk

Dec 3, 2014

I am using OSX 10.6.8 in a MAC Pro desktop.  I want to use the Cloud to sync my desktop calendar with my iPhone 5 calendar.  When opening up preferences, iCloud is not among the "Internet & Wireless" options.  I went into my Applications folder, looking for the App Store application, thinking I could get the application and reinstall the Cloud option.  It was there, but a window came up saying: "You can't open the application App Store because it may be damaged or incomplete."   So, what would I need to do? I don't have the actual disk for this version to reinstall.  If I upgrade to OSX Yosemite, I'm afraid I'll have to upgrade all my main applications to be compatible.

App Store :: Cannot Access Sign In Itunes Store After Lion Upgrade

May 25, 2012

Have just upgraded my macbook to Lion.  I logged into the app store, bought, downloaded and installed Lion no problem.

After upgrade I returned to the app store to download ibooks author.  I can find ibooks author but when I try and install the app I have to sign in and I get a "connection failed" error message.

The same happens in iTunes when I try and view my account - "The network connection failed"

I can access the internet with no problems - including secure sites. I can access software update with no problems.

I have made no changes to my network settings - could sign in and download apps before upgrade, unable to after upgrade.

Cannot Reinstall Lion On Other Laptop

May 23, 2012

My MacBookPro with Lion installed was stolen 2 months ago. I by accidant erased Lion from the 'installed' list in the app store. So i try to rebuy or reïnstall Lion on a MacBook with enough memory to run it, but in the appstore it keeps on saying 'you already bought Lion so this updat is free, push OK to download'.An update is useless without Lion itself on the laptop, but how can I reUinstall it via appstore? Or is there an other possibility?

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Can Reinstall It Without Erasing Disk

Apr 27, 2012

I did the upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion.  I've been having random issues like it seems to go to sleep (all monitors go black) and when I close the lid; the light goes on (but doesn't blink like normal sleep).  Or during wake-up from sleep, after everything appears, it does the same thing.  The only thing I can do it hold down the power button, wait, and restart.  Today I'm on my 4 1/2 crash/reboot.  (.5 because during a reboot, it locked up again.) I was thinking that maybe a re-install might fix something, but I'm not sure. When I originally did the upgrade, I had a DisplayLink driver installed which Lion moved to the Unsupported folder; don't know if this is part of my problem or not.
