Im looking to purchase a 4GB stick of ram for my Late 2009 27 iMac 3.06Ghz. I know it requires PC-3-8500 204-Pin DDR3-1066MHZ Small -- does anyone know of a good place online (or otherwise) that sells this for cheap? I DID find one online site, that would sell is for $77.30 USD... and that doesnt include any DUTY fee's if any would apply.

I am obviously not using the correct search terms to find this info, but I want to upgrade my iMacs RAM. The system I have is a refurb 21.5 iMac with 3.06 GHz dual core processor. I want to go from the current 4Gig to 8Gig. Everytime I check the different sites for their online memory guides, I see the 3.06 Intel in the 24" but not in the 21.5. Are they the same? I just want to order the right memory the first time.
I have a mid 07 iMac that I just upgraded the memory in and now it wont reboot. I had two 1 gig and switched to two 2 gigs. I can replace one of the 2 gigs with one of the original 1 gigs and it will start and shows in "about this mac" that I have 3 gigs??? Then take the 1 gig back out replace with the other new 2 gig and wont reboot again.
I have one of these Macbooks that I want to pass on to the daughter of a friend for use in college. To try and extend its life and usefulness a little I was wondering if I could add more memory. I'm aware that the Apple tech specs state that 2GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 is the maximum supported, but since I have 2 x 2GB of that memory spare I was wondering if anyone here on the forums know different?
I have 20" iMac core duo 216GMZ w/ 1GB and want to upgrade memory, how much can I install? Have 2 512MB DIMM. Does the new RAM have to be same memory capacity for both DIMM? I wanted to upgrade from 10.6.8 to Lion and don't have enough memory which prompted the inquiriy. The Lion installer said I need to have min 4GB. I would like to upgrade the memory on my mac pro to 8gb (4 x 2gb) plus the original 2gb (2 x 1gb) that comes standard for a total of 10gb. I have looked on [URL] and the prices range from $198.99 to $799.99 for 8gb (4 x 2gb) kits. The Omni Technologies Optival is mighty tempting at $198.99 and I see that OWC has 8gb for $269. What do you recommend? Is Optival any good? The reason I an adding 8gb is for multi-tasking video/audio etc.
I have a 15in Late 2008, MBP (the first generation of Unibody) with 2.53Ghz (upgraded CPU speed) with 4GB of RAM. Will my laptop recognize 8GB of RAM and which RAM from Newegg should I get?

My iMac stopped booting. The fans and hard-drive spin up but the screen stays black and I can hear that the hard drive isn't been read after the initial spin up.
I decided to open it up to take a look at the diagnostic LEDs to see if it might help me diagnose the problem (the most obvious failure is the logic board). I can't find the LEDs anywhere, where are they? Does my iMac even have diagnostic LEDs?
The other possibility is that I can't find the lights because they aren't lighting up. The fans, the hard drive and the CD drive all spin up fine so at least I know that there is some power running though it.

I have recently purchased a macbook pro. I have added an aol email account to my mail, which is great but although i can receive emails, I am unable to send them. I get the message Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator. I have checked the settings and the connection doctor and everything is fine.If I need to send email i have to log ito my aol account via safari, but I would much rather use the mail that is set upon my mac.
