Intel Mac :: It Keeps Calling Up A Non Existing Application?

When I was investigating a problem with my time machine backups I found that my mac constantly tries to start up something called com.tvmobilisvcd[number]. It then reports it cannot do so because it cannot find the file or folder. 08/05/2012 19:25:24com.apple.launchd[1](com.tvmobili.tvmobilisvcd[10598]) posix_spawn("/Applications/TVMOBiLi.app/Contents/MacOS/tvmobilisvcd", ...): No such file or directory?I tried running disk permission repair but that doesn't seem to do teh trick (in fact when I repeat disk permission repairs it keeps doing teh same stuff over and over)Â

I just bought a gaming headset to play Left 4 dead. I would like to know if their is a program which I can use on OS X to call people with the headset. I use to do this on my old dell computer with a program that came with it and i enjoyed that feature.

Me and my friend are trying to start a facetime chat. We are both on our our computers and have wifi.In addittion we both are calling using are emails so we know thats not the issue.I've tried calling her when shes online and it tells me she is unavailable.She tries calling me minutes later and it tells her that I am unavailable

Which apple cinema display would be best (past and present) for web designers. I previously owned a 17" MBP with the 1920 display but that resolution was just too high on that much screen real estate and I found myself always having to be super zoomed in while doing photoshop design work, etc.. And found that all my work was coming out too large for people on regular resolution screens.
I was thinking of moving to the 1680 20" ACD display but of course I can only buy one used and see it after I bought it, so i'm hoping to get some feedback from people on the forum.

When I make a call through Skype, after a few seconds I have a coreaudiod crash and skype stop responding. I am using Lion 10.7.4 and last version of Skype. All my softwares are up2date. I already re-install Lion ...Â
Could be linked to another issue I already logged about applications crashing [URL]Since Coreaudiod crashed, Safari is going very slow and crashed also 3 times in 10 minutes. I suppose because coreaudio is not there and should? Â

I am trying to make a script that allows me to call a number in Address Book in my Avaya Softphone app. Everything works great except that all numbers need to have "9-1" or "91" before the phone number. This is needed to access the outside line and all calling requires the country code. how to add the 91 to the script so that all phone numbers in the script have this added.Â

This question concerns the new mid-2011 27" iMac I haven't used yet The internal HD's size is 1TB. Before I start using it, I'd like to:
1. resize the exiting partition (containing Mac OS X Lion) in order to make it smaller (about 100GB)
2. create a new partition in the remaining space. I would use as a data repository (like an external Thunderbolt hard disk).

I know that I can right-click (er, two-finger click) when I'm in a folder and set things like "Arrange By" / "Sort By" / "Icon Size" and then click "Use as Defaults," but it seems to only apply these to the new folders I create after I apply these settings (if they're applied at all, I'm having trouble figuring out what "Use as Defaults" even accomplishes.)
But I've already moved a ton of folders over from my old laptop, and they've got some seriously wonky view settings. There would be 3-4 folders right on top of one another, and then the folder I'm looking for is in no-mans-land 600 pixels to the right. It's a mess
I want every folder on my computer ever and forever to snap to grid, arrange by kind, and "float" to the top left (no gaps between files - fill'er'up!). How can I do this without going into every single folder and changing the settings individually?
(On another related note, is it possible to force folder contents to fit the window size? I dont want to have to scroll horizontally to see a folder's contents when I resize it.)

I foolishly installed PocketCloud Companion (which was a ripoff) and now am unable to delete it from my apps folder under Finder. When I try to move it to the trash, I get a message that the app is still open. Where can I see it running? This also happened on another occasion where the move to trash cannot be done because "The item can’t be moved to the Trash because it’s open". And I don't know how to find where it is open so I can close and delete it.

Then I tried to connect my IPAD and IPHONE and neither would update because it couldnt find the file or something and then i couldnt even restore.The next day itunes was gone completely: "The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (13014)" And then the next day ie today there is NO DOCK, NO BACKGROUND and NO DESKTOP ICONS! I had to open safari from the top bar that was only there because I have one random application called Garmin ANT that remained open (i never use this application, its a running computer watch thing)

I've tried to download an app and it froze, so I tried to cancel it and couldn't. It's still in 'purchases' in the App Store and listed under 'other purchases'. The button next to it is blank (no letters). Also, the Launchpad icon looks like it's downloading and the app in it is greyed out.Â

Some of the basic application like textedit take much time to load (10 secs). Instead in Windows such application opens instantly.I am having 4GB RAM in iMac and I can see around 40% free(unused)

I have just downloaded skype for the first time. I do not make many downloads. The problem is the application icon, appears in the side bar under places. I do not want it to be there. I'd rather it showed in applications or on my doc. How do i move it? Everytime I try to highlight it to drag it, it just opens up!!

Friends were having major problems with Mac OS 10.5.8. I tried to install 10.6 but the installation stalled several times. Through it all, I got OS 10.5.8 running for them again but the sound application is now missing, so I can't get the iMac to play sounds effects nor will it show the Harmann Kardon sound sticks as a sound output. They can't find their original install discs and I do not have that version. Will the sound application for system 10.6 work if I drag that file into their 10.5.8 system?
